Thanks for the comments, it was an indie shop but your point is accurate. We just kept that diagnosis in our heads while trying to figure things out ourselves. Thanks for the comments, they aren't as common as they are in Europe but we did get a few diesels here in the states. They have been great cars and still get 40 MPG even after the reflash from VW. Stay tuned for Part 2 later this week. Cheers!
