this item can be a danger to pools...if your level drops (not even drastically) it can pull air. Even if the vortex is just too strong it pulled air into my system
Thanks, in the directions it says to remove the door flapper that is at the opening of the pool at the beginning of the skimmer. Does that really have to be removed?. Also, do you have to shut off the pump to pull out the skim around to clean the basket?. Thanks.
The flapper door is called a weir. The weir door is what is skimming your pool. Make sure is moves freely and it wants to float when the pump is off. It should hinge inward into the skimmer but not outward.
It is much better. The old skimmer did get a good amount of leaves, but it didn't have the vortex to keep the leaves in. This helps hold the leaves in the skimmer. Hope this helps!
They don't honor their warranty. The website states free replacement parts including shipping. The top of mine broke and I contacted them for a replacement part. They sent me an invoice for $15.99 for shipping which is more than the part and shipping cost - total ripoff. Its made of cheap plastic that will break easily. I noticed they have shut off comments on a lot of their social media to avoid having complaints posted about their products.
I'm not sure about the customer service, but the product works great. We have used tons of these, and we don't have any issues. This may be a case of "operator error." I'd suggest taking it apart and putting it back together
Direct and to the point. Thank you.
This worked great on my pool😊
Love your tank top!
Thank you!
Thank you for the video - how much do we need to submerge the top of the new skimmer? meaning how far below waterline does it need to be? Thanks!
Thanks for adding this! I just dropped mine in and I have a fairly violent vortex where it's too noisy, but that's a good thing I guess..
You could be sucking air into your pump which is not good. You might want to raise your water level.
It works !!!!!!!!!!

Thank you so much for your video. The instructions were no help at all. Good ole UTube!

I haven't removed any of my skimmer flaps. And no not typically, I just pull it out with the pool pump still running
@@PoolgirlOBX Awesome thanks. It seems to be working well.

Your old skimmer basket seemed to skim a lot of leaves . How much better is this new skimmer?
