Caron Simply Soft is one of my favorites. It can be used from baby beanies/blankets to any project for adults. It's very soft, and supple (which means it hangs well when making sweaters, tops or dresses), yet it is still very warm when you create textured patterns like this. Thank you for this very good demo on a beautiful pattern. It's a pleasure watching you evolve. Be well my friend.
Great tutorial and a beautiful finished scarf. I like the way you teach from the beginning to the end. I like your teaching skills and the calm manner in which you present. I generally crochet afghans, yet will have to try my hand at crocheting a scarf. Thank you for your time, talent, choice of yarn color and pattern.
Thanks so much for taking the time to let me know. I'm happy that my teaching style resonates with so many. I wish I had more time to crochet larger projects...maybe one day. I do have one baby blanket tutorial on my channel and one sweater tutorial, so I guess that's a decent start :)
I have enjoyed this pattern tremendously. I have made 3 scarves in this pattern in the last month. Thank you for sharing your talents and creative genus. You are a terrific teacher. You are bringing lots of joy to the world.
Thank you so much for the kind words. I'm really happy to be making a difference in this seemingly small way. I appreciate you taking the time to let me know :)
Thank you for the lovely pattern and excellent tutorial Atreyu! I find it so helpful when you use the darning needle to help clarify where the hook goes. I have always thought that lovely patterns with lots of texture really do shine in solid colors whereas more simple stitches allow colors to take center stage. Caron Simply Soft is one of my favorite yarns - it's sheen is superb, it has such a lovely drape and the color selection is pretty big as well. Have a joyous and safe holiday season.
You're very welcome, Meredith! I appreciate the kind words so thank you very much for taking the time to write me. I completely agree with everything you said about Caron Simply Soft. It's a great yarn! And yes, I do try to point out things with the darning needle because I know it can be hard, especially for beginners, to know exactly where to insert the hook. I'm glad it was helpful. Have a great holiday season with loved ones! :)
Great tutorial! I just have a question. Can I chain two in between the crossover double crochets instead of one so the cluster stitch can be a bit more spread instead of bundled?
I love your tutorials my friend and your choice in color is beautiful. Keep those tutorials coming I look forward to them. ❤😊
Thanks so much!🙂🙏🏾
