- Now that we've finally gotten the upgraded PS5 Uncharted Legacy of Thieves Collection a few months ahead of the PC release we dive in to see how improved it is. Uncharted Legacy of Thieves Collection PC edition is expected sometime in 2022, but for now we look at the Uncharted 4 PS5 upgrade to see how much it is improved over the PS4. Uncharted Legacy of Thieves Collection boasts 4K resolution, a 120fps mode, faster loading times, and dual sense support and we put it all to the test. All you need to know is within. Still one of the most visually impressing games of all time!
Ehh I’ll give that to The Last of Us part 2 even tho this is my favorite out of the 2 Naughty Dog games.

Gentle reminder this released YEARS AGO. You could play the original version on base PS4 and its still better than a lot of AAA games today

@@jackiemoon_lms Xbox wasn't really focusing on exclusives anyways besides its not Playstation or Sony that make these games its the developers they've shelled out a ton of money for that make the games.
These companies don't deserve the credit for what the devs do.
Xbox is going to have some great exclusives soon in Starfield and Fable.

Best series in the last in 15 years of gaming. The bar was set so high with it.
This was the worst of the series though when it comes to story telling and puzzles. The game was just too easy.
@@DEVILTAZ35 3 was the worst, cause the gameplay was too clunky, the story was ok and A.I was terrible cause The Last of Us was in development at the same time.

Why don't all games allow you to transfer saves like this. It is so annoying when you delete the old version of a game only to go into the new version and find out you had to go into the menu of the old one and use some archaic in game save transfer tool.

Hard to think that this was released in 2016 on OG PS4, now it's on the PS5 same resolution with up to 4 times the frame rate, truly amazing!!

@@mikem2253 why - this game doesn't reward twitch gaming, so having it at 120Hz is just ego-based. The game isn't designed to be played at such low-latency.
@@joshfulcifan1015 As someone who actually has at TV with 120hz refresh rate, personally I’d still go with 60fps at 1440p. On the few games I’ve tried that are capable of outputting 120 fps, it really isn’t that noticeable the majority of the time compared to 60 fps. The drop from 1440p to 1080p would be more noticeable IMO. But as mentioned in the video you can easily switch between any of the modes and see which one you prefer.
I'm so stoked to finally play this UC4 at 60fps, and actually finish The Lost Legacy as well! These titles are perfect for 60/120fps

Kinda funny to show 60fps and 120fps next to eachother when youtube video hz is capped at 60fps.
Why at around the 6:05 mark is the framerate graph wrong? The frame counter shows 30fps and the frame time graph shows 33ms which are both correct, but the line on the framerate graph shows 60 instead of 30?
Six years later and it still knocks most of today’s games out of the park.
One of the best games in video game history!
The only people who think that don't play video games much as there are far better game series out there than what this became. Hitman is by far a more engaging game that Uncharted 4 and far more satisfying to play. It doesn't try to be a movie that occasionally lets you control a character and then handholds the action for you like this does.

It's probably due to the codec and that it was recorded at the same time, but it looks like 10fps or less (look at the stuttering background).
I've tried all the modes on my Ps5 and have to say 120 fps is easely my favourite.
To me resolution between the modes doesn't make a big difference and the game looks great on my Oled even on 1080p, but jump from 30 or 60 fps to 120fps makes a huge difference on gameplay.

Playing lost legacy yesterday, 60- 1440p seems to be the sweet spot for me anyway. 120 is really impressive, but so is 60.

I've never seen any 120fps gameplay. Is it as big a leap in gameplay as 60fps is from 30fps?
Yes !!!! You will easily noticed the difference in how smooth & responsive the game feels in 120.

You need to upgrade to this version of you want to play at 120. I’m also assuming you have a tv or monitor that supports 120

Man console games getting 120fps or 60fps modes really makes me happy. Everyone should experience 120fps, not just us PC bois.
PS5 is terrible though for 120 as still no VRR to smooth out all the dropped frames. If it was powerful enough to consistently stay at 120 then fine but it is far from it. Maybe The Ps5 pro will do this game justice at 120 outside of PC but who knows. Seeing drops are into the 90's this appears to also be a CPU problem as it's just 1080p. There is definitely a hardware limitation at play here that hopefully PC will sort out anyway.
1440p 60fps seems like the sweet spot
I'm with Digital Foundry on this - it would have been fantastic to get a "Fidelity+" option that either incorporates dynamic res or (if possible) sticks to native 4K while aiming for 40 fps.
Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart is the only game I'm aware of that's tried a 40fps mode and it works swimmingly on newer HDMI 2.1 TVs. 40 divides nicely into 120 and you're drastically reducing input latency even just going up 10 frames.
Yes this! 40 is smoother then 30. Even tho it’s only 10 fps. It helps.
1440p yet the console itself doesn't support it natively, such a bummer for 1440p monitor owners

What about 3d audio, dualsense haptic feedback, reduced load times. You want an upgrade 10.00 bucks aint gonna break the bank.

Just stick to the 60 as the 120 hz mode is beyond the PS5 unless you like mostly gaming at 90 with a fluctuating framerate and no VRR.

Maybe this game engine is not very well optimized to run at high fps. All Naughty Dog games are initially designed to run at 30fps. These modes are being added later has extras after all work is done.

Slightly better lods, there's dual sense implementation, as well 3d audio, some reflections do see improvements but there's no ray tracing, this video also mentions haptics around the 10:50 mark

Yes. Walmart has it for $20 plus the 10 upgrade makes sense over the $50 ps5 version in store

That's what we were lead to belief with this next-gen consoles. However, as Thanos says: Reality is often disappointing.
Don't forget though we are still in the cross-gen era and they are still doing games with the PS4 in mind since PS5s are still hard to come by.
