SOUND CLIP: MTA Bus GMC RTS-06

GMC RTS-06 #5860 (Ex-Green Bus #604/Originally Jamaica Bus #571) was on the Q41 and was heading towards the Jamaica Bus Terminal in Jamaica, Queens.
I miss these buses. It's too bad that I did not get enough recordings NOR pictures of these buses. So sad but this clip does make up for lost time...LOL! Enjoy!

Throwback sound!! I remember taking the B41 bus as a kid. The bus used to make this same exact noise! I used to like how the token machine would shake when the bus hits a bump. LMAO

I actually prefer the 7xxx buses over the 4xxx ones and these. The 7xxx buses had the V731 instead of the V730, resulting in smoother sound. At least none of the ones I mentioned had ZF bullshit.

I heard that sound on 5 MCTS RTS buses 3220-3224 the Neoplan N416 3300-3334 and the Neoplan AN440 3620-3656 I wonder if any one of these series is down in the bus museum in Union Illinois

I miss those green bus line back in the days classic GMC bus i used to seeing passing on Flatbush Avenue the Q35 bus line and in queens Q22 bus Q21 bus now mta bus took over all the line

For some reason I never rode this bus except for my mom when she came to New York in January 2001 she took this bus the only thing she told me is she didn't like the seats but don't get her wrong and I think this retired in 2013.
