Sounded just like CTA 1991 Flxs that were on their last leg in Mid 2000s, How come these NJTs Flxs never came with Rear Route number signs?

And now it’s retired and scrapped :(

I still remember when these buses were brand new at time when I was 5 years old, now they are retiring. These are the buses that I mostly grew up with. RIP Bus #3652. It retired February 2022.

Sad to think that every last one of these buses in this video are now retired and scrapped. <:/

With MTA MCI 2109 being retired, and Academy no longer doing SIM runs via NJ, it's all moot at this point. Judging by the video this bus looked like an Academy and quacked like an Academy rather than a NYCT express bus. NYCT 2109 was not always a fast bus, and unless NYCT touched the speed limiter during maintenance and hence fell through the cracks (no longer being capped in the 60 area), this bus appeared to be going at typical Academy speeds on the Turnpike, not the lower limited maximums found on the NYCT MCI/Prevost Fleet.
