Broken Rotator on SJC Siren #28

  • been a while since I done an Indiana SWA. Went to siren 28 since me and Noie had a feeling this was the one doing fast wail and didnt sound like it rotated (29 was ruled out since it still doesnt work) and lo and behold, fast wail and no rotation.

    Nice vid, to bad the rotator was broken. Never heard a 2001 do a fast wail tho! It almost sounds natural, like that's what wail on those sirens are supposed to sound like. Very cool!

    I have a question. How exactly do these rotators break? Is it a belt or a gear? Or is it a fried motor

    Why is it doing fast wail?

      Ema has left over boards programmed for fast wail. So when one goes out, they slap a fast wail programmed one in. This, siren 8 and 48 have these boards as well.
