Yeah. I try to get any siren that I can, although last time I did that, it failed unfortunately.
Just curious, what about sirens are entuthiasts intrigued about? My son likes them now because of siren head but now I noticed they're a hobby for some people.

This is a fantastic contribution to our knowledge, understanding and appreciation of the warning siren. Keep up the great work😂 serious I love these videos ❤❤
When I was still in the Army we had just got back home after a deployment. They were testing the base already system and usually they announced this was a test before..This time, someone forgot and they just sounded the incoming alarm. We all hit the ground just on reflex. Granted we all stated laughing right after but for a couple seconds it’s was like “Oh man here we go!”
It’s all fun and games until you pause this video and realize that the siren is still going.
I love being scared, Thats the whole reason i like Sirens in the first place. Extremely scary yet also awesome.

In the small town I live in, the fire department uses tornado warning siren when they have a call.
Most small towns will have a siren where the Fire/Police Department/City Hall is, or on a water tower nearby. I found an ACA Allertor in Wahkon Minnesota that way once years ago (I heard the Growl Test and headed in that direction). At some point since then they replaced it with a Federal SIgnal Thunderbeam according to Google Street View.
There are exceptions; Avon Minnesota has a Whelen Modular Siren next to a gas station instead of the Fire Dept. Sauk Rapids Minnesota has a Whelen on the roof of the Fire Station but they have others around town too; At a trailer park there they have their own Whelen Hornet (along with a dedicated Storm Shelter). In Saint Cloud where I live they have Federal Signal 2001 DC Sirens everywhere; they used to have at least two Thunderbolts but those are gone now.
One day i was walking back home from school, i alwats heard it while inside and i finally appreciated just how damn loud these things are. Since then ive been fascinated by tornado sirens. Well ig air raid sirens but yeah

I’m a big fan of the thunderbolt sirens and I’ve liked them even since I was younger
My town uses Whelen Vortex’s (almost identical to the Whelen WPS 4004, different rotator box) and uses an alert/wail/all clear tone for tests, and here’s the interesting thing, to distinguish the difference between a warning and a test, an attack tone is used for warnings

What about sirens is intriguing to enthusiasts? My son likes them after becoming a fan of siren head so until recently didn't know it was a hobby for some. Genuinely just curious, is it the mechanics, the sound or something else?
Different sirens, different sounds
I believe many people like them because of how they look or sound, for me I like them for both of those and the fact that the sounds give me an adrenaline rush
This a very interesting comment! As you said, siren head, at least for me. I was watching some siren head videos when I found a siren compilation in the play head. I didn’t know what it was, so I just clicked on it. They were quite loud sirens and even gave me a headache after a while, but i still enjoyed it. Within the next couple of days, I found out what type of sirens were near me. From that, I got more and more siren videos in my recommended. I found more and more siren channels and learned about more and more sirens. The sounds, the different shapes and sizes, etc. I became interested in these things and found out that these sirens aren’t just horns, they are much more unique and interesting.
I really love the history behind them! I think stuff like that is really fascinating and it’s not something you think about often :>
We just like loud noises lol

They use the same system as a firetruck siren
That would be a little insane if you were right next to that and all of them were blasting into your ear

not too long ago i heard some sirens near my house but the thing is we dont have sirens here in the Gallina National Forest of New Mexico and i live in between 2 mountains so i have no clue where those sirens came from. i checked the official USA siren map and the closest one to me is in Santa Fe which is like 60 miles from here (if you take the road). it didnt sound like any traditional siren i ever heard and it was LOUD and it was coming from the mountains, I'm obsessed with finding the siren i heard but i still cant find it. was it in my head? did i smoke too much? idk and its driving me crazy. the only theory i have is that the private airstrip on the other side of the mountain may have sirens idk
