Woah, was that really in the book? I should reread it soon! I remember people back then discussing whether orcs eat humans or not, and most people said there was no excerpt like that. Maybe it's different translations, I was pretty sure that the orcs thought humans would eat them though, which was kinda funny. In the same chapter of The Two Towers one orc said the Rohirrim will slaughter and eat them.

the uruk'hai really UPPED THE ANTE over the usually mindless orks, they were disciplined, well equipped and a cohesive true army, not a Horde like the orcs are typically presented. And this music was one of the main reasons they come across AS ELITE SHOCKTROOPERS.
