And the way they prepped her in the movie because she knew shit about shit XD She had to literally just memorize lines, like an actress. I respect McCain, but they really fucked up choosing her. Which was good for us, the Dems, because it helped the right man win. It gave us the 8 years with Obama. If only he didn't have to leave... then our country wouldn't have been ruined by the President Cheeto. How did we, the country who elected Obama, then elect Trump? It'll take many years to live that down. We are currently the laughing stock of the world. They have at the end of this movie how she wanted to write her own concession speech, while Trump won't even concede after 14 months! The fact that he didn't follow any of the peaceful transfer of power traditions was bad enough... but then we had Jan. 6th... OMG it's been like a movie but no one could write what actually happened....

Hilary lost and the country got Trump because Democrats lost the working class in the mid-west. Democrats lost the working class in the mid-west because they supported NAFTA. Who brought in NAFTA ? Bill Clinton. Full circle. Not to mention other policies such as the repeal of the Glass Steagall act by (again) Clinton which let to the great recession of 2007-2008. The fact is that since the time of Clinton, Democrats have embraced corporate friendly policies which were not so friendly to the working class. The working class of the mid-west saw a way of life disappear. They had genuine grievances. Trump gave voice to those grievances even though he did not and does not actually care.

She was entirely wrong. I think you might be confusing Afghanistan with Iraq.
Obama slowly drew down troop numbers in Iraq over quite a long time. He copped a lot of flak from the left for it. But he left Iraq stable, and as close to a democracy as that nation has ever experienced.
As for Afghanistan - despite what you may have seen on the major news networks, not even that was a rapid withdrawal.
7 in every 10 Afghani police were Taliban in disguise. 6 in every 10 Afghan national army were either Taliban in disguise, or working directly for the Taliban. 8 in every 10 supported the Taliban.
I remember seeing a reporter interviewing a few local farmers who said they hated the Taliban. The reporter forgot to take the little chest microphones off and went to talk with other people.
The two "farmers" talked in Pashto.
The reporter later noticed this and had the conversation interpreted.
The two farmers were actually helping the Taliban even though one was pretending to be a former Talib, who had, he lied, joined the NATO coalition side.
What did the "farmers" say ?
"Don't tell him about the weapons in the field. They're for our brothers."
"Just keep saying we dislike the Taliban, that's what these Americans want to hear. Later we will deliver the hidden weapons to our brothers in the mountains."
Afghanistan was, unlike Iraq, never going to accept any form of democratic rule. The Taliban infiltrated every major institution. It is a majority Pashtun nation. The Tajiks and Turkmen and other minorities either had no capacity or no willingness to fight for their own nation.
When the Tajiks fought the Taliban in the Panshjir Valley during the most recent Taliban takeover, they had no Lion of the Panshjir, no dedicated leader like last time.
Afghanistan fell quickly. But it was always going to fall quickly and it was always going to fall to the Taliban.
How long should a few thousand Americans have stayed around there, prolonging the inevitable, every few weeks getting hit by snipers, or IEDs ?
Should we have prolonged it for 10 more years? And spent another hundred or another thousand more American lives ?
      Why ?
Biden's advisors knew it would crumble to the Taliban as soon as the Americans left.
There was no other realistic or useful outcome.
People always attack a President for what they do, but no President gets credit for what they DON'T do.
Jimmy Carter got no credit for NOT invading Iran. Had he done so, every single embassy hostage would have been brutally executed by the Ayatollahs fanatics, and thousands, or more Americans would have died there. It would have been an epic clusterf, just like Iraq.
It is the Republicans who start these wars, and the Democrats who end them - NOBODY should have attached Biden for pulling the troops from Afghanistan.
Keeping them there while the Taliban waited them out would have been utterly pointless.
Any and all blood spilled in Afghanistan and Iraq is on the hands of the Republicans who bayed and howled for war and called anyone who didn't support their lust for plunder a "coward" and even a "traitor" - and the same politicians who screamed on television about cowardly Democrats not wanting to go to war, were the same who criticised President Biden when he withdrew the troops.
He did the right thing based on consultation, consideration, and careful planning. That is how President Biden always operates. He thinks and consults before he acts.
His Presidency, it's first term and his second term too, will be remembered as competent. He has done the very best with what he could, fighting against a group of psychotic MAGA Congressional reps like Marjorie Taylor Greene, and a truly spineless Senate, full of seditionists and traitorsm, cowards like Lindsay Graham. The man who said "if we elect Trump, we'll destroy the Republican Party, and we'll deserve it."
President Biden may not be flashy, or loud, but he is damned thoughtful, and he is above all, a competent leader.
He cannot lose the next election.
It is astounding that Trump is the Republican presumptive nominee.
The differences between Biden and Trump are stark.
Trump, unlike Biden, is incompetent, incomprehensible,. inadequate, the only President in the HISTORY of the nation to be put on criminal trial.
He faces four federal trials..that's far more than most mob bosses. More than the heads of the largest gangs.
He is vicious. He is angry. He wants revenge and has said so. He wants to suspend the Constitution, and has said so. He wants to be a "dictator for one day".
He is NOT joking. He means these statements. He will be able to use signing statements and the backing of the federal circuit courts (to which he's appointed hundreds of judges who will support everything he does as quid pro quo)a.
      A dictator for one day.
      One day.
That's how it starts with all dictators.
I cannot overstate how much of a threat Trump is to the United States and to the world.
His tumultuous and chaotic first term will look like a family picnic compared to a second term.
If you care about yourself, your friends, your family, your neighbours, your kids and anyone else who lives in the peaceful.US, made and sustained in peace by President Biden, I beg you..I implore you. I ask and plead with you, please vote for Biden again, and vote downticket too, so that all Democrats, sane, sensible, competent people, are elected to remove the virulent madness that is the modern Republican Party. We must remove them from the Governor's mansions and from the Congress, from the Senate and from the school boards.
Can you imagine the prospect of a JFK, FDR, Teddy Roosevelt or Abraham Lincoln supporting a crook, a felon, for President ?
A man who will suspend the Constitution and wants to install himself as dictator?
Madness. Madness that the Republicans have selected this man as their leader. They they want him to attempt to dismantle our institutions, yet sbsin ?
Truly it is a terrifying prospect. Like a nightmare turned real.
For his first inauguration Trump wanted a military parade replete with tanks, and other machines of war, sich as one sees in Russia, or North Korea. Hundreds of thousands of soldiers parading past him, saluting him as they march.
That's such a huge insight into how Trump thinks.
The legal boundaries of the Constitution limited his first term. That's why he wants to get rid of them.
Trump does not want to be a President.
      He wants to all powerful.
He is a sick, unhinged, dangerous maniac.
We cannot, we must not, see him win again.
Wr have to vote. For Biden, for the Democrats, for continued democracy and for the continued existence of the USA.
