"I was crossing the intersection at Breslauer around 11:35-11:45, and I noticed that the tractor and trailer were stuck, bottomed out on the railroad tracks, and due to my construction knowledge I knew it was a pretty big problem, but I wasn't sure what I could do. I wanted to give the guy a hand, but then I was kind of scared because of the situation. So I took some photos. Anyway, the man was trying his best to get the truck off the tracks and once we heard the train coming, we knew it was big trouble. I whipped my phone out again to tape it."

There is a sign on the side of the road alerting truck drivers of the potential to high center. Saw it from a different point of view of this same incident.

Yup and stay out of the path of a train at all times. My dorm is by railroad tracks. I see pedestrians frequently being pretty dumb on a weekly basis.

Nothing to do with weight. Could of unloaded that loader off the side of the trailer and after that all you would of had is a fucked up $80k trailer.

You usually do not wipe before, but after...
I work for one of the major railroad and everyone always tells me they are not supposed to brake for a collision due to added risk of derailment. But you can see how quick that train stopped after hitting that truck if it was a straight track they probably had enough time to stop or at least majorly slow down. Ive avoid many collisions by braking while moving units around the yard. Maybe its just fun for them to hit stuff

@@kacmedIt all depends on so many factors: The total length, the weight of each wagon, the speed involved, the condition of the tracks( which is usually faulty for lack of maintenance), the "activity" of the mechanist on board at that time etc etc But it counts in minutes.
