    Mrs Joan, my mother in law passed away in Feb and she did almost all the cooking for our supper. She loved it. I told my husband after the funeral, I’ll have to start cooking for him. Well, I’m 55 and our 30th anniversary is in Sept. high time I learned right? Not that I never cooked. I just never learned to cook like she did. God surely lead me to your channel. Thank you for taking the time to do this. I fixed your fried squash and the man lost his mind! lol. Love you and God bless y’all abundantly!!! If you’re ever in north east MS holler at me. We will sit around the kitchen and have a visit.

I can never keep up with the summer squash that comes out of our garden and it just doesn't taste right frozen... I have put up several pints for frying and I can't wait to have them this fall!! God bless you for having the patience to teach us youngsters LOL ( I'm 58 and still learning ) I went on a binge and have watched almost all of your videos :) TY - Yvonne

    We have already put a few dozen ears of corn on the cob up but still need to cream some. Usually put it in the freezer but I think I’ll try canning it this year. Thanks for showing us how. Take care.

    I have always frozen creamed corn, and am curious to know if the taste is about the same canning? Do you prefer one over the other? Thank you for your advice! 🌽🥰

    Mrs. Joan, my sweet corn turned dark after i canned it. Any suggestions what i did wrong?

    • @AtHomewithMrsJoan
      @AtHomewithMrsJoan  6 дней назад

      @@sheliawest5606 Was it pints or quarts? The only time mine turned was when I did quarts and I've never done them again. What could have happened is your sugar in the corn caramelized because different varieties of corn are sweeter than others. You might want to do some reading on that. Is it possible your water has iron in it? I'm wracking my brain to help. Is it a dark brown or more of a light tan?

    Canning is not something I have seen in the uk, I feel terrified at the thought of using a pressure cooker.Is it something passed down generations ?

      We prefer frozen corn but we do it the same way you do it. When corn is ready it's all hands around the tables - kids, spouses & grandkids then everyone shares in the bounty. Many hands make light work.

      @@valeriejackson1783 You might investigate Amish style. I think they water bath (boil) everything 2-3 hours.
