Mrs Joan, my mother in law passed away in Feb and she did almost all the cooking for our supper. She loved it. I told my husband after the funeral, I’ll have to start cooking for him. Well, I’m 55 and our 30th anniversary is in Sept. high time I learned right? Not that I never cooked. I just never learned to cook like she did. God surely lead me to your channel. Thank you for taking the time to do this. I fixed your fried squash and the man lost his mind! lol. Love you and God bless y’all abundantly!!! If you’re ever in north east MS holler at me. We will sit around the kitchen and have a visit.
Your comments made my day! I'm so sorry about your mother in law. You sound like a wonderful person to sit around the table and visit with!
Thank you for sharing your wisdom. ❤
@@jorazor5172 It's a blessing to share with others.
I look forward to all of your wonderful videos!!! 😊
@@ritamyers5554 Thanks!
Mrs.Joan I am a new fan and I want to thank you for making your videos so easy to follow. I have learned so much!! I can never keep up with the summer squash that comes out of our garden and it just doesn't taste right frozen... I have put up several pints for frying and I can't wait to have them this fall!! God bless you for having the patience to teach us youngsters LOL ( I'm 58 and still learning ) I went on a binge and have watched almost all of your videos :) TY - Yvonne
I felt deeply impressed to make videos to help others. It's days when someone takes the time to write that lets me know it's appreciated and keeps me striving to do more. God bless you.
Love some creamed corn. Nothing like home grown. Great video!
Thanks! I had corn all over the kitchen! LOL
I love your videos and that was a really cute song. My husband loves cream corn and I’m a little fond of it myself so I will be trying this next year. Now I gotta go watch that tomato pie recipe.
@@auntdayskitchen6315 Thank you so much.
I cant wait to try this.
Let me know what you think!
I’ve learned so much from your videos!! I didn’t know u could double stack jars and I’ve never canned corn!! TY for this video!!
@@teresafagan You're welcome!
Amazing video ❤
Thank you!
Just found you and love your site new subscribers
Thank you so much!
I just found your channel today and subscribed. Honestly, I've watched over a dozen videos so far. 😁 I live in northwest Alabama near the Shoals. I'm so glad I found you, these videos are right up my alley.
Thank you so much. I'm in northeast Alabama in Centre near Weis Lake.
We have already put a few dozen ears of corn on the cob up but still need to cream some. Usually put it in the freezer but I think I’ll try canning it this year. Thanks for showing us how. Take care.
@@shilohfarm7248 You're welcome!
After grandma past we used her frzr foods for over a yr. When my mom cried after using the last bag of cream corn surprised her by making an exact match tasting corn..she never had the recipe lol.. deep south Ga field corn is the best!!!
I remember crying when we ate my mom's last jar of pear preserves. Mine are good but not mom's taste yet. I keep trying.
I jump when my crescent roll cans pop open so presure cookers terrify me. But, I love the bundt pan brilliance!
The more you pressure can the more comfortable you become. But sometimes those crescent rolls scare me too! 😂
Yay, I love to see your videos pop up. You cook like I do.
Thanks girl!
❤
☺️
Please show us how you do your tomato pie.
Look in my videos. It's there. Thanks for asking!
Peaches and Cream ... mmmmmmm
Delicious!
I have always frozen creamed corn, and am curious to know if the taste is about the same canning? Do you prefer one over the other? Thank you for your advice! 🌽🥰
I like the taste of frozen corn better but I love having the canned on my shelves as my freezers are full.
Mrs. Joan, my sweet corn turned dark after i canned it. Any suggestions what i did wrong?
@@sheliawest5606 Was it pints or quarts? The only time mine turned was when I did quarts and I've never done them again. What could have happened is your sugar in the corn caramelized because different varieties of corn are sweeter than others. You might want to do some reading on that. Is it possible your water has iron in it? I'm wracking my brain to help. Is it a dark brown or more of a light tan?
Canning is not something I have seen in the uk, I feel terrified at the thought of using a pressure cooker. Is it something passed down generations ?
I have a video I especially made for new canners. You might want to watch. My grandmother and mother canned. I'm blessed that my daughter enjoys it too.
We prefer frozen corn but we do it the same way you do it. When corn is ready it's all hands around the tables - kids, spouses & grandkids then everyone shares in the bounty. Many hands make light work.
@@dragonlady8176 US too. Everyone helps!
@@AtHomewithMrsJoan Thank you I will have a look at the video, I don,t think canning is that popular in England, I have never seen anyone doing it.
@@valeriejackson1783 You might investigate Amish style. I think they water bath (boil) everything 2-3 hours.
