It's not hard to spot a craftsman. Clean workspace, good eye, steady hand and well-serviced equipment. You articulate your process extremely well both physically and verbally - well done. I look forward to watching your other videos.

Querido Jon. Hoy he tenido el gusto de conocerte y he quedado fascinada con tus tutoriales. Hace unos meses comencé un curso de carpinteria pero no imaginas lo mucho k he aprendido contigo. Claro k no he dejado de verlos . Quede encantada con tu maquinita ensambladora con sus galletas ovaladas. Mil gracias por compartir tus conocimientos. Un gran abrazo desde México

I am truly a fan sir ! I'm new to woodworking , I've been doing it in my garage on days off from work . I've started with cutting boards ( same as most probably) , now I'm wanting to do furniture the same style as this . I truly appreciate the videos and what you teach!

Hey Jon, my name is Nick. I'm a huge fan of your videos and your work, I could sit here for hours and watch your videos. I made a headboard very similar to this using the drawing on your website, and tweaked a few things. Thanks for making it super easy and I had an absolute blast doing it. Thank you so much for your inspiration as well. Your videos really got me into the hobby of woodworking!

For those interested you should be careful using bugle headed screws (drywall screws)in pocket holes is you might end up splitting the wood. Better to use a flat head screw or a kreg screw.

I am building a headboard for a king size bed. I enjoyed your video. I am a beginner in wood working. I have a question about your dimensions on your rails. I noticed the top rail is cut to 4 1/2" and the bottom is at 3 1/2" is this because of the bed molding along the top? Also the stiles at 3". Is this to keep it all uniform looking.

Jon, is there a way of making those joints without the tool you use? Also what setting is your drill on to start to ratchet at the right torque for woodwork? My drill has a 1 and 2 setting with 1-24 dial. Your videos are great! I just need some more tools now!

I just made a headboard similar to this one, But I made drop in panels instead of a solid panel. This affords me the ability to remove the panels and paint or paper them to match the décor of the room. I also routed the panel frame instead of cutting all moldings, it saved time and money

Great video tutorial as usual from you Jon. I love watching your videos. I want to build this headboard for my kids and I have a quick question. You drilled a long hole and used a long screw to attach the face stile to the legs. and used biscuit joinery to attach the face rails. My question is can I use pocket hole joinery at the back to attach the face to the legs and then use the 1/2 inch back panel to cover everything?.
Once again great video and thank you very much for all you do.

    Thoroughly enjoying your work, Mate.
Maybe a silly question: I noticed that in some videos you're using Elmer's and in this one when attaching the rear panel, you used Titebond. Is there a reason in switching between the two (as in, maybe a major difference in the way they act in certain species) or was it just a convenience thing, given the size of the glue bottles?
