It's not hard to spot a craftsman. Clean workspace, good eye, steady hand and well-serviced equipment. You articulate your process extremely well both physically and verbally - well done. I look forward to watching your other videos.
Querido Jon. Hoy he tenido el gusto de conocerte y he quedado fascinada con tus tutoriales. Hace unos meses comencé un curso de carpinteria pero no imaginas lo mucho k he aprendido contigo. Claro k no he dejado de verlos . Quede encantada con tu maquinita ensambladora con sus galletas ovaladas. Mil gracias por compartir tus conocimientos. Un gran abrazo desde México
I am truly a fan sir ! I'm new to woodworking , I've been doing it in my garage on days off from work . I've started with cutting boards ( same as most probably) , now I'm wanting to do furniture the same style as this . I truly appreciate the videos and what you teach!
Hey Jon, my name is Nick. I'm a huge fan of your videos and your work, I could sit here for hours and watch your videos. I made a headboard very similar to this using the drawing on your website, and tweaked a few things. Thanks for making it super easy and I had an absolute blast doing it. Thank you so much for your inspiration as well. Your videos really got me into the hobby of woodworking!
I just bought a King size bed, so I think I adapt this plan to fit my bed. Thanks for the great video's. Your attention detail is what makes everyone want to also make your projects!!!!!
This is an incredible worth for money [Link Here== *TopFineWoodworking. Com* ]. I have been looking for something like this for quite a while now. I'm happy there are opportunities like this out there. This woodwork plan made a clear presentation with regards to building sheds. Much thanks to you.?
Your attention to detail on the trim work is amazing, even on something so simple. Finishing work is the bane of my existence, but your tutorials help so much. Good on you sir...
I have watched his video several times, really cool how you make your carpentry work seem as works of art....I've learned a lot from watching! thanks for sharing! Mike
Very simple design and extremely well presented. Just as someone else previously commented, I am going to try to build this for my cabin but will probably come out looking like it was done with a framing nailer. You should have been a teacher, your presentation skills are awesome!!
This is an incredible worth for money [Link Here== *TopFineWoodworking. Com* ]. I have been looking for something like this for quite a while now. I'm happy there are opportunities like this out there. This woodwork plan made a clear presentation with regards to building sheds. Much thanks to you.?
Awesome video! Very easy to follow. I wish you would show more on the molding part. You are one of the best teachers on here. Thanks again. Subscribed!
I know you said it was easy for you and you were having fun with the molding but there is no way I could be as precise as you are or make it look as professional as you did, nice job
Well, well! I've watched three of your videos and find you to be a fine teacher. Easy to follow instructions and good advise. I must try your projects. Thank you. Sam
For those interested you should be careful using bugle headed screws (drywall screws)in pocket holes is you might end up splitting the wood. Better to use a flat head screw or a kreg screw.
The subjects covered in this woodworking website *TopFineWoodworking. Com* varies from wood types to tool types and uses. A few other subjects range from the various kinds of wood along with their distinct levels of difficulty when it comes to managing them. If you are still a beginner in wood working, then you will find this book very beneficial.
I could never do this, and I haven't the cutting equipment, but I do love to watch you do these things Jon. You make it look so easy! By the way what was the music you used this time, it was really nice.
I purchased your plan. Almost done! Any tips on cutting the modeling..(mainly around the posts and the transition from the headboard to the legs) .You make it look so easy?
Awesome! Since I google Hyezmar’s Woodworking Bible I got into this wonderful craft more and more, I’m on my third project now and it’s been super easy.
I am building a headboard for a king size bed. I enjoyed your video. I am a beginner in wood working. I have a question about your dimensions on your rails. I noticed the top rail is cut to 4 1/2" and the bottom is at 3 1/2" is this because of the bed molding along the top? Also the stiles at 3". Is this to keep it all uniform looking.
Jon, is there a way of making those joints without the tool you use? Also what setting is your drill on to start to ratchet at the right torque for woodwork? My drill has a 1 and 2 setting with 1-24 dial. Your videos are great! I just need some more tools now!
*TopFineWoodworking. Com* , is a very comprehensive woodworking book! It breaks every little thing down, utilizing words, drawings, real pictures, and different diagrams. It`s unbelievably informative and helps me feel like I could help my sibling while we make our furniture together.?
I just made a headboard similar to this one, But I made drop in panels instead of a solid panel. This affords me the ability to remove the panels and paint or paper them to match the décor of the room. I also routed the panel frame instead of cutting all moldings, it saved time and money
#John Wagner I could never do this, and I haven't the cutting equipment, but I do love to watch you do these things Jon. You make it look so easy! By the way what was the music you used this time, it was really nice. @DIY-Chris
Very informative video. Everything explained to the minutest detail. Bro, why did u use biscuits to join rails and stiles? what if you'd opted for pocket holes? Enlighten, please.
***** hi JP, could u plz tell me any tip to have 90 degree cut with jig saw, I always fail to get perfect cut rather an angle is there always .. cheers
Great video tutorial as usual from you Jon. I love watching your videos. I want to build this headboard for my kids and I have a quick question. You drilled a long hole and used a long screw to attach the face stile to the legs. and used biscuit joinery to attach the face rails. My question is can I use pocket hole joinery at the back to attach the face to the legs and then use the 1/2 inch back panel to cover everything?. Once again great video and thank you very much for all you do.
Nice Jon! I just started making a solid cherry king size headboard with two large raised panels. While I'm excited about my design (will match our Bob Timberlake furniture) I'm kind of wishing I took your route. A little nervous I'll screw up my first attempt at raised panels.I'll subscribe I liked this allot. Thanks!
Has numerous details in this woodwork book *TopFineWoodworking. Com* . The book also displays several designs and descriptions on the materials used for various woodworking processes and also the guidelines on completing various procedures appropriately. In other words, I`m happy using this book, especially in the process of learning about wood working.?
I really liked your video and will be building a headboard for a king sized bed following your design and plan. You make it look easy. I hope it will be :)
+Jon Peters Art & Home I will do that. Purchasing a combination miter saw and nail gun next week! I feel like Tim Allen on Home Improvement! My wife agreed with the purchases as long as I add crown molding to our bedroom too.
Hi Mr. jon peters,my name is Christopher Pagobo from the Philippines & i am a DIYer,u r my idol woodworker & really impress with every single project that ur doing,i can't afford to buy a cordless drill especialy the Dewalt, can i ask u for ur used dewalt cordless drill to pursue my obsession in woodworking, really appreciate for ur reply.
Jon, I started building the headboard, and I have a question. Do you see a downside in pocketholing the rails to the legs vs. using the 4” screws and screwing the stiles through the legs. BTW love your content and your easy down to earth demeanor.
Hi Jon, you do beautiful work. One thing that bothered me as a former safety director, after you cut the 2x8 leg and wisely used a push stick, you reach over the rotating blade with your bare hand to move the cut piece.
Are the frames for queen size beds fairly standard in their widths? If I were to do this project, is the width of your plans going to fit my queen steel rail bed frame? Thanks.
Great project like always. I'm going to follow your project and techniques. In the future, do you have plans for a matching footboard & side rails storage footboard which I'm considering.
I didn`t intend to utilize this woodworking website, t.co/SGIXIPXR0z but rather curious about it. I was truly impressed after trying it. I was looking to find out more about the art of woodworking, and was not dissatisfied. I found several topics such as wood types and designing your workshop.
Thoroughly enjoying your work, Mate. Maybe a silly question: I noticed that in some videos you're using Elmer's and in this one when attaching the rear panel, you used Titebond. Is there a reason in switching between the two (as in, maybe a major difference in the way they act in certain species) or was it just a convenience thing, given the size of the glue bottles?
It's not hard to spot a craftsman. Clean workspace, good eye, steady hand and well-serviced equipment. You articulate your process extremely well both physically and verbally - well done. I look forward to watching your other videos.

Simple and direct. Excellent! See, Jon, no need for a Kreg jig with your skill level. Great job!
I have watched his video several times, really cool how you make your carpentry work seem as works of art....I've learned a lot from watching! thanks for sharing!
Mike
Nice one JP. Easy and interesting. No need to buy any more headboards now.
Love your videos! Your ability to draw a straight line without a straight edge baffles me, though! :)
The trick is to run your other finger along the edge of the board and keep your fingers steady. Old carpentry trick.
Great job of using a simple approach to explain the process. Looks great.
Very simple design and extremely well presented. Just as someone else previously commented, I am going to try to build this for my cabin but will probably come out looking like it was done with a framing nailer. You should have been a teacher, your presentation skills are awesome!!

Beautiful. I've been looking for a headboard tutorial. This is the perfect style for me. Thank you for sharing.
Great thanks for the comment Sue

I followed your design and I made a queen size bed, thank you so much Jon petters

Good job Jon Peters. I take it you made this video before you found your Kreg Jig. You should look under the top of your out feed table!
Thanks John
Wow, you make me want to build a woodwork shop in my garage. I think I will!

Help me understand you cuts. You make your mark with a pencil, but yo don't appear to cut precisely on the line. You're a great teacher.
Wow. I love your videos. It's helping me design my new room.
You're great at what you do.

Do you make picture frame or shadow box picture frame. For I like to learn to make them for my art work.
Just watched a couple of your vids in a row; subbed and looking forward to watching more.
appreciate it thanks
Fabulous work.
Instead of drilling through the stiles and using 4 inch deck screws, can I just toe screw to the legs?
Great project like always. I'm going to follow your project and techniques. In the future, do you have plans for a matching footboard & side rails storage footboard which I'm considering.

how did you do that at 1:55? you drew a completely straight line right down the middle of that board, and i did not see you use a tool...
***** neat trick, thanks for the prompt response!
Thoroughly enjoying your work, Mate.
