    This has been a great piece of security tech to add to the house. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the video that I have gotten out of it, and how easy it is to use. Might have to pick up a second one to watch over the shed.

      @@danielvillegas7980 Nope. I downloaded the app and created a login, obviously, but I have not paid a dime. I am able to check the camera whenever I want, record and everything.

    I have now installed Two of the Solar Battery Cams over the last 2 + years, and the problem is the Batteries go bad at 1 to 1.5 years. Since the batteries are not replaceable on most of these type Cameras, they become a throw away item. I won't install any more Battery security cams unless they have a way to replace the battery. There are a few of these available, but I have not bought one yet.

    How does it do in the rain?🌧️ if what hits the camera does it malfunction?

    • @Milledge.Austin
      @Milledge.Austin  2 дня назад

      I have it under the eaves for most protection. It does get a little splash when rain gets blown hard, but it’s still working great. I just clean the lens every so often.

    I have the same camera but 4g/LTE capable also. Where can I find help in setting up the camera for Cell phone access? Thanks.

      Oh man, that’s slick. I’m not really sure for that part. The new security camera I just was sent came with a “calling card” where it has like 7 days worth of data for me to test it. Once I do that setup, maybe I’ll have an idea for how the Viziuuy works

    I bought this and like the camera. However, I can’t get it set up correctly to get notifications? Also, it’s doesn’t record cars, etc., coming up my lane consistently? I’ve got notifications set up but not getting alerted? Any suggestions? Thanks.

    • @Milledge.Austin
      @Milledge.Austin  4 месяца назад

      So, this could be a couple of things. For the notifications, check your phone to make sure it is allowing notifications from the app. If that is fine, let's get into the app:
      When you first open CloudEdge, there is a gear (a nut or bolt), you click that and then there is a section near the top that says "Receive Alert Notifications," make sure that is selected.
      To get it to record cars that are going by, next to the notifications box "Alarm Management" and click the three dots and make sure that "Motion Detection" is selected at the top, and then set your sensitivity just below that. 1 is not sensitive at all and 10 is super sensitive, I think.
      Let me know if that all doesn't work or if you have further questions.

    Do you have to pay a monthly fee for motion detection and other features?

    • @Milledge.Austin
      @Milledge.Austin  7 месяцев назад +1

      Nope. I don’t have a subscription for this and have almost full access to it. If you want unlimited cloud storage, then that is a subscription, but that’s what the micro SD card is for, as well.

    How far away from my house can I install this and still get reception? I need one for my driveway which is 300 feet from my home. I have excellent wifi.

    • @Milledge.Austin
      @Milledge.Austin  7 месяцев назад +1

      It’s definitely more about your WiFi connection. Do you mean you want it for the end of the driveway, which is 300 feet long? Part of it also is not having a lot of interference between the WiFi hub and the camera.

      I have excellent wifi thru Starlink...I live in a remote area. An Amazon reviewer states the cameras work well on their remote outbuildings. So, question answered, Thank you.

    How about rain in day?

    • @Milledge.Austin
      @Milledge.Austin  4 месяца назад

      I have mine positioned so it’s protected from direct rain (the solar panel is fine in the elements). If the rain is hard enough and clouds make it dark enough, the camera goes into night mode and it’s still fine, you can make it color with the lights. The rain has never tripped it, if that’s what you mean, though.

    Does it record 24/7?

    • @Milledge.Austin
      @Milledge.Austin  9 месяцев назад +1

      It caches everything and I have it set up for loop recording. So, if something happens, as long as I get to the memory card before it records over the footage, I’m good. But you can record to your phone from the camera, as well in case you’re away.

    Just got this camera, and it's going right back into the box! It is a fixed mount camera. If I have to remove it, I have to destroy it to unmount it. There is no quick release from the base. The release tabs are hidden in the base plate and are only accessible before you screw the base plate into the wall. After that, it's a wrap and it's mounted FOREVER! NO THANK YOU!

    • @Milledge.Austin
      @Milledge.Austin  5 месяцев назад

      Not the case. I had my roof redone, so I removed the camera from the mounting plate, then removed the plate and once the new roof was on, I put it in a new location. Still working great, and I feel confident I could remove it easily again and place it somewhere else. Only problem would be leaving the screw holes in the building when I put it somewhere else, but a little caulk/silicone and no worries.
