Finally you made a tutorial I've waiting for soooo long now i finally start with my gradient colour fur and sew it will all my heart and effort Keep up the great work
i've been looking for a sewing tutorial for so long but this is the only one that's actually taught me how to do it 😭 thank you so so much this is literally a life saver!!!!
Very nice video! I'm learning to sew faux fur and this is great material. I want to add the back stitch in hand sewing, it's what I use for most of my work and it's sturdier than blanket and whip stitches. Keep up the good work!
Thx for the hand sowing one when my mom was 15-16 someone broke in her apartment and stole her sowing machine cause she aaid they were popular back then
I just got started with furring a dino mask and this will help me so much.if I do good with this dino mask, I might open commissions, thank you so much
either magnetic eyelids, craftfoam, or just shave down some fake fur in the shape of the eyelid and hot glue it on :) those are the ways I do it, at least.
Thank you this is great but im just wondering when your useing a pattern like when you duck tape the head do you cut out the fur larger then expected so when you sew wigh the machine the part that get cut short isnt a problem or is it not a problem at all in general??? Dose that make sense 😅
Heyo ik this video was a long time ago but could u tell me what needle I would need for a sewing machine to sew faux fur? I had one recently snap on me smh
Thank you so much for the tips. I do have a question though. I have 2 sewing machines and both do the same thing. I have it threaded and all that but for some reason it does not actually use the thread. It works normal but the fabric never is stitched. The needle is threaded and it does go through the fabric evidence by the small holes left behind. I have tried to figure it out with no luck. Any ideas? Thank you to anyone who reads and or responds
i eh have a question i am researching for a dragon arm puppet i want to make which will have a band of faux fur all over the top with a different color fabric for the rest of the body my question is : what would be easier for a first timer to do A sew it on the other fabric ( aka make the whole thing out of 1 fabric and then sew the faux fur to that ) B attach it to the other fabric ( as in cut out the part where the fur sits and sew it there ) in my head A sound more logical since then i can hide the seam from the base fabric under the faux fur. i know its a little different maybe from fursuits but i thought you could maybe help >.
Heya! So I was wondering how easily the fur goes through your machine? Whenever I try to sew faux fur, the machine kinda 'stutters' and eventually just slows a lot. Also, what foot do you use on your machine?
Fake fur is a bit difficult to sew so you have force it a bit though. And I think it's a normal foot? (Sorry, I'm not an expert on sewing machines x3 )
I need to know how to hand sew this? I don’t have a sewing machine and I recently got my first fursuit head base.. I don’t have money to have someone put the fur on for me; so I’m trying to learn this, and tips?
What size/type of sewing machine needle do you recommend? I was thinking of purchasing denim type needles since they’re meant for hefty fabrics, but I wanted to ask first before buying them.
do you think its fine when you hand sew it?(completely) because i dont have a machine and I cant sew on that or control one.... also i dont wanna do a full suit just paws, tail and a head. so what ya think eh? sorry for the weird question.
Okay, you have no clue how much this helps me. I can’t find any good tutorials on how to sew it. You helped me sooooooooo much! Thank you!!

Cool! I was just about to sew on my machine x3
I blanket stitched an entire fursuit head on a tight deadline because I didn’t think you could machine sew faux fur. thank you for this tutorial!
How long did that take? Blanket stitching takes forever O-O
Addison Heming like a week including breaks
Cant wait to use this knowledge to finish my suit
This helps so much thank you for this tutorial you did a wonderful job!

Thank you this is very helpful
How to make angry fursuit eyes or happy or sad?
Just shape the eyes angry or sad, or add magnetic eyelids
either magnetic eyelids, craftfoam, or just shave down some fake fur in the shape of the eyelid and hot glue it on :) those are the ways I do it, at least.
Woah super useful tysm!! ❤❤❤❤
This is really useful
Can u do a tutorial on sewing patterns in the fur bc I’m confused on that part
Wow this is so helpful tysm
Thanks for the video ^^
This is a weird question but what is the best way to store a Fursuit or just fur with out damaging it?
Ping Dragon I just wouldn’t fold it because of wrinkles in the fur
I personally use fabric racks to store fur, and I hang my full suits up in a closet or just on a rack
If you have a fursuit maybe use a clothes hanger and hang the suit on the hanger?
Thank you this is great but im just wondering when your useing a pattern like when you duck tape the head do you cut out the fur larger then expected so when you sew wigh the machine the part that get cut short isnt a problem or is it not a problem at all in general??? Dose that make sense 😅

Sounds like it's something in the bobbin area on the sewing machine. Maybe a setting there or it needs to be oiled
Mugiwara Cosplay Thank you I will double check. One is an old machine the other brand new so we will see. Thank you again!!!
I found it!
For sewing machine do u have to use stronger thread
Is it recommended not to use the ladder/invisible stitch for the entire fursuit head?
Amazing video! Just a quick question, will the seams show once you shave if when you used a sewing machine? Thanks!
Yes
Mine keeps getting jammed with naughts any tips to stop this?
Question! I have the seams always showing when I use the machine. Is there a way to fix this?
After you shave it?
Is it possible some sewing machines aren't enough to sew fur? Mine doesn't seem to get them together and it gets stuck every 2 seconds if i do it
So should I use minky fur instead of shaving shag fur? For the like front of the face?
1. No, sorry. Bad idea.
2. It not minky fur. It minky. Just that.
3. I liek ur profile pic

Not sure if I understood that xD but I would say B then
sorry i am terrible at explaining things xD
Cool

My sewing machine won’t sew it and I don’t know why, I have a heavy duty sewing machine
yay!!
So you made a video on how to sow so you can show us how to sow fur so you can make life so much easier?
(That's a lot of so)
TO BE CONTINUED...

This video also shows how to hand sew
So if I hand sew it right, the stitches won't be visible after shaving the fur?
If you don't shave it super short, they shouldn't. You should also go through the seams with a pin or needle and carefully free any trapped fur.
What type of thread is the best for hand sewing the fur for a fur suit?
Depends on which part
Does it work/look better with a sewing maschine or per handsewing?
It depends on what part. For bodysuit, machine sewn is best, while parts like the face of the head, it's best to hand sew that
@@MugiwaraCosplay thanks so much❤
What size/type of sewing machine needle do you recommend? I was thinking of purchasing denim type needles since they’re meant for hefty fabrics, but I wanted to ask first before buying them.
I've always just used the universal ones
How are you doing?
Good.
I'm good thanks, you?
Good and you?
Great!

Yes, it just takes a long time x3
@@MugiwaraCosplay actually I don't care. I just really have a problem with machines XDD bit thank you
Ooooh so I was doing it right, lol
Just one question, Do i need to use a sewing machine for the fur?
It depends on what parts you are making. It's possible to hand sew an entire fullsuit but it will take a loooong time xD
@@MugiwaraCosplay would it be more brittle too?
What kind of sewing machine do you use
Major 2000 you can't buy them anywhere anymore
what sewing machine do you use? Sorry for the question i'm sure they get annoying
It'a Major 2000 but it's so old that you can't get it anymore
thanks!
Could you make a video on raptor tails? Like Raze's, I have no idea how it stays up and cannot find anything on the subject.
Most people use pool noodles and they cut them in sections to keep them wiggley and straight.

Gaming With Spicy Memes oh! Much thanks :) That tail in the video is gorgeous
Melonlor: Yes
Gaming With Spicy Memes: That's a moving (dragon) tail, not a raptor tail. For at raptor tail you need another type of belt to keep it up
I just wish i could get my sewing machine to work right
What brand is it I will link a helpful vid
Cute😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
😃☺️🙂
👍👍😄
Yer dah bist XD
Oh I thought this was a hand sewing thing I use a hand in a needle I don't like sewing machines
