From a humanitarian point of view, their are Israelis that does not want war, they want peace with the Palestinians. Israel should relocate that people prefer Israeli rule, building them new homes. So its going to take some time. In the meanwhile they will be under the Palestinian authority.

Unfortunately unless Israel accepts jurisdiction, ICJ's advisory opinions cannot be binding. However, as the Hague speaker just said, aspects of the judgment ARE binding just by virtue of it being international law

If the court ruling is not legally binding, then what makes the ruling legal? In my opinion going to ICJ is a mere waste of time and resources. A town hall meeting between Israeli leaders and Palestinian leaders to resolve the issues is far better.

Since this new ICJ announcement means that countries around the world must not recognise Israel’s presence in the Occupied Palestinian Territories, shouldn’t this by default mean that these countries are required to recognise the state of Palestine in those territories??

Can someone help me out. How will Gaza and the Westbank be linked together. Was there an agreement in 1948 or 1967 on a road linking the two territories of Palestine together. Please note, I know the whole area was called Palestine for somewhile after the Romans destroyed Jerusalem in 70 CE. But I'm revering to the era of 1940-1960's. That would be interesting to know. But I suggest building a tunnel or railway corridor.

Hi wife is Jewish. I think his party has been rattled by the level of support for Gaza at the ballot box though. Unconditional support will become more difficult as resentment grows from an increasingly impoverished people regarding all the taxpayer's money that's given to Israel and not people in need in the UK.
