Great job in covering the "what's" & "Why's" on this speaker! As a Mac owner myself, I have yet to match my MC2105 to a comparable pair of speakers. I have some good speakers but they don't even approach the quality of the ML1 MKII. I decided that I was going to buy a pair of speakers that fell in the $10K to $15K range. I've brought it down to either a pair of Klipsch Heritage AK6 or the McIntosh ML1 MKII. But the only thing holding me back is the fact that I plan to move. As much as I'd like to buy a pair of these speakers now, I need to consider the fact that I'll be buying another house and then moving from this one within the next 3 to 4 months. Of course, everything I have in this house needs to be moved to the new house and that's really what's keeping me from buying them right now. They'd be that much more I'd have to load on the truck on 'moving day'! However, I have the ML1 MKII speakers and the Klipsch Heritage AK6 speakers included in my short list of 'need to buy after I move' list. Considering how large the AK6 speakers are, I may want to go with a more 'compact' but equally high performing speaker. Once I've moved, I'll be able to better judge the size of the speakers that I can fit in the livingroom. Thanks again for the great video! Rich
You are very welcome Rich. We're impressed with the ML1 Mk II's performance vs. the relatively compact size of the cabinet. Some great sounding speakers are just too big for most folks

Gramophone Could you answer a question for me: If you have a speaker with an impedance of 6ohms, which post should it be connected to, the 4ohms or the 8ohms???
Hello Aldo, assuming you have a McIntosh amp with 2, 4, and 8 ohm taps, they are intended to make sure the amp can deliver full rated power no matter what nominal impedance your speakers are. Impedance fluctuates, so the speakers never actually stay at one impedance. Your 6 ohm speaker should work out fine at either 8 ohms or 4 tap. We suggest starting at the 4 ohm tap. Since your speaker may dip with low bass, I would use the 4 ohm tap. I've run into your situations few times and always used and been happy with 4 ohm taps on my Mcintosh.
