You are a magician! I haven’t used my printer in a year and I guess something there got either dried or just not working. I changed the cartridge and repeater the process three times and it finally started calibrating and working! I’m so thrilled! Thank you!
I got this error and tried any number of suggestions from the web. Read where it might be an issue with the print head jammed. Flipped the printer on the right side and turned it on. It made a big clunk and started right up.
This video while it did not correct my issue lead me to a solution that worked for me. After the reset I took all the cartridges out. This lead the printer to tell me I had no ink cartridges installed. At this point I gained access to the printer via a web browser and its ip address. I clicked on the tools menu and selected ink gauge. I then installed the ink cartridges. The printer returned the same ink system failure. I then refreshed my browser and there it was... it told me my cartridge magenta was damaged. I replaced it with an HP cartridge and the printer went back to work. My office jet is an X476.
Usually, in the Hp display menu you can get the IP address and just type that into the http:128.169.x.x if memory serves Or Google how to access printer via it’s IP address
I have a problem on the black color on my x451dn, maybe because the cartridge went fully empty. Even with a full black cartridge, the quality report is not printing black. I read somewhere else this maybe air in the printhead. Do you have a solution for this?
I do not have a 100% solution, but I would try removing all ink cartridges from printer, turning printer off and back on again and install cartridges. That may prime some ink into the printer.
