Laced records finally putting this on vinyl made me so happy. Snake eater rightfully gets a lot of attention but this song right here is just beautiful
When I played Snake Eater for the first time on PS2 in 2022, after The End killed me lots of times, I simply fucked around with frequencies and tried to stumble on something random and this was the first song I discovered. Safe to say, it's one of my favorite tracks present in any of the MGS games and I love that the radio replenishes your stamina. It's such a cool in-game feature and this song has provided quite a bit of solace during the breaks from The End.
Okay so I'm a huge fan of this game but I do need to vent about something that made me relate to the lyrics "Why can we start all over? How long can we go on feeling this loss of love? Why are you so afraid to feel the pain of love? Why are you so afraid to feel the joy of love?". I'm Biromantic/Asexual. And keeping a relationship has been hard for me. I've three this year and the longest one ended on Friday. This song and these lyrics hit hard because I'm now terrified of falling in love because I know that it'll only end in heartbreak again.

You have to fight to live. Fight your shadow that tortures you from the inside. Don't let it control you. Accept it and work to change yourself. You can find love. I truly believe it. I don't think dating apps are good for love. In my experience, befriending someone without gross intentions is the best way to find love. Girls are really easy to be friends with. As long as you aren't a pervert or sex pest. Any relationship built on sex will end in heartbreak. A relationship built on friendship is very durable. You probably won't find a nice girl at a bar or club unless she is with her friends and got dragged along.
