I dont get it, really. As a kid, I found it impossible to complete because I didnt get the hints or the way to get to the next areas, I absolutely hate the music loop and the use of a password system frustrated me to no end But I still like it.
FINALLY Battle of Olympus at a GDQ!! With all the love of classic game music I'm surprised this game with its wonderful soundtrack is almost totally ignored. Such an underrated gem!!
Remember getting this back in the day, as is was pointed out as a hidden gem which didn't get enough love in a Q&A section from a magazine. Loved it, and sat for a whole weekend until a beat it.
This game was so hard as a kid, it was the only time I took a picture of the ending after I beat it, and sent it into Nintendo Power to get my name in it. Being a fifth grader who had his name in Nintendo Power was like being a god at that time. Speaking of which, what a great game this was...
I remember having this game back when it was new and I also remember that I was never able to beat it. This run gives some closure to my childhood lol.
I loved and dreaded this game as a kid! Great run! I can still remember that There was a very misleading commercial for this game that likened it to Zelda 1 and 2.
A friend of mine had this game when we were kids. I loved it, even though I never got to play it properly. I was used to games you just picked up and played, not games you had to sit down and take the time to actually get anything out of, but I loved the greek mythomology, and the adventure and explomoration. Hard AF! I remember chatting in the chat while watching this live, and a guy said something about there probably not being monkeys on Crete at the time in history this game is supposed to be. I answered "Haven't you heard of Greece monkeys?". I just think I deserve some credit for that pun O:)
Man this was THE game of my childhood! I never beat it as a kid, but I remember seeing the final boss fight and the ending when my dad beat it. Actually, I was just looking up the boxart of the game (cause its actually pretty badass boxart) and google's auto complete came up with Battle of Olympus Remake... Someone is remaking this game!
I played the hell out of this as a kid, 100%-d it multiple times. ...and I never knew you could play the harp to summon Pegasus in front of the sun statues. DAMNIT!

One of the best Zelda II clones out there. I still love the music.

My friend changed when she became a vegetarian, it's like I've never seen herbivore.

I sure miss Nintendo Power. I used to love looking at the artwork that fans sent in.
I remember trying to take a picture of the end of Startropics and sending it in to Nintendo Power to see if I made it in. Sadly, I did not.
love the dude at the start being totally hyped by the music
Probably my fav NES soundtrack. This game captured my imagination as a child and filled me with awe for ancient greece.
he was like that for a few days
Twitch chat dubbed him Dance Dad, kept us all cheered up in between runs!
Fantastic work karma! You and your couch made this a fun and accessible run!
I guess you could say that early screen where you can grind olive drops is a godsend.
He's way beefier in the credits than in the game
The game is what made him beefy LOL

That clutch moment at the Minotaur tho!
I played the hell out of this as a kid, 100%-d it multiple times.

Olive farming simulator with snobby Gods. Pog
I’m gonna record the song from the song of someone’s nightmare!
This game looks sick it's like a Metroidvania.
Great run! BTW, her name is pronounced "yoor-rid-a-see".

The main character is Jotaro. That's not the best one but Johny would be a bad name for a greek guy.
Best music is Phthia music!
