A chipset explained. This is an animated video tutorial showing what a chipset is and and how it works. Northbridge and Southbridge chipsets are explained. #chipset
thats why when teacher ask why aint we looking at the board, that is because the board is the same writing in the book. vision learner like us, that just screw us up.
Yup this video help solidify the concept. And provided some background history on the old chips help me remember the north and south bridge situation lol
great vid, but today the northbridge practically does not exist, at least not on the motherboard, it is located directly on the CPU to shorten the length of the link between it and CPU
Modern motherboards chipset is just the south bridge. The CPU has a direct bus for the RAM, PCIE X16, and south bridge. The first CPU to eliminate the north bridge is the very first intel core i7z
In just 5:03 you learn what it takes in exam books 50 pages and 2 hours to read and you don't get the full picture of how it works in your head. This animation is easier to memorize and a massive time saver so you can learn even more. Thank you for the video. subscribed from your other good videos.
stan broniszewski lol you're getting FREE lessons from a guy who has half a million subs, imagine how many comments he gets, he can't reply to every single one of them. That's not being a dick. He spent all this time trying to teach you for free, you can be more grateful
the main benefit of books over videos is the depth at which you can go. this comment is for anyone past present and future. if you want depth, always seek the trenches. excellent video.
I could not understand this topic since people are terrible at summarizing their words, but in this video finally i got a more clean idea of it. Thanks man.

I'm studying IT right now to get certified, and this video is the best explanation I've seen so far. It's the only actual explanation. All the other videos just name all the components without explaining them.
You've helped out this newbie quite a bit in just about 20 minutes of watching various videos you have uploaded. Thanks for the tutorial, you're very articulate and understand what a new person is going to ask.
This channel is absolutely fantastic, I train a lot of people in my work and I decided to try something, I’d like to recommend you do the same as me, watch this video without sound on, then listen to this video without looking at it, it’s the same on all three fronts, this is really, REALLY, effective since some of us take information visually better than audibly, and vice versa, when you listen to the audio track and look at the visual presentation they are both arguably perfect and they marry together very well. As someone else in the comments said, this is the future of education, it’s also the future of communication, it makes something that sounds (and is, don’t get me wrong) very complicated and confusing simple to understand, by presenting it in a very simple and easy to understand way. Absolutely superb, subscribed and liked, full credit due.
stan broniszewski well, congratulations on passing your course I guess?! Sorry I don’t mean to be rude but I fail to see any correlation between my post and your reply
Thank you so much for this generous effort! Thanks to your most generous and detailed content, I was able to fully recover my PC from a severe malfunction. Once again, thank you all for these wonderful videos!
I'm currently going through my A+ studies right now. Found your channel and subscribed immediately. You helped animate and explain CHIPSET for me in a way that made is so simple. Now I'm not sure why I didn't understand it before. Thank you. I will share your channel with whomever needs a little extra help.
Thank you so much for your videos, am more of a visual learner, the visualizations/animations, and the way you break down the topics make so much easy to learn and understand.
Great stuff, again, i read an A+ chapter and then watch a few videos to make sure the concepts are clear, the animations really help, thank you and keep it up!
Love to videos man, the animatons make it easier to understand (Especially for people who learn faster visually the audibly) and it's straight forward, you just got a sub :)
omg thank you for your illustration and explanation...I read the notes for a while but yet I dont understand the concepts but yay I got my concept clear in this video!
i wish education was like this too. so much more intuitive for us visual learners. i had to read this 100 times over in the book
thats why when teacher ask why aint we looking at the board, that is because the board is the same writing in the book. vision learner like us, that just screw us up.
And after 100 times you forget that faster than you learned it
The difference between Centralized/ Decentralized education.

Bro me too
great vid, but today the northbridge practically does not exist, at least not on the motherboard, it is located directly on the CPU to shorten the length of the link between it and CPU
Yup, this video is outdated by 10 years at least. The memory and PCI-express controllers are now inside the CPU.
thanks for the update.
Modern motherboards chipset is just the south bridge. The CPU has a direct bus for the RAM, PCIE X16, and south bridge. The first CPU to eliminate the north bridge is the very first intel core i7z
yeah!! and also for faster data communication or transmission!!!
Also funny thing: EPYC Rome has everything integrated on the CPU package. Looks like the SoC future became reality.

I learnt this concept reading two paragraph in a book... and I am not some sort of a genius.
