It wasn’t immediately clear what happened but it appeared that seven horses bolted from their barracks in central London and ran amok. All the animals were contained shortly after.
“A number of military working horses became loose during routine exercise this morning,” an Army spokesperson said.
“All of the horses have now been recovered and returned to camp. A number of personnel and horses have been injured and are receiving the appropriate medical attention,” the spokesperson added.

It sounds like they were able to get treatment and will recover. My heart breaks for them. Horses can scare easily, and as they are generally suspicious individuals, they bolt.
Suspicious in the sense that they will consider a thing as animate even if it is a non-living object just because it moves, stuff like that.

Since they, or the one, crashed into cans, a bus, one incident had windows broken, I don’t feel the injury was that “superficial”. Poor animal.
So if you've ever wondered why people are so obsessed with horses and their welfare and abilities, etc....this is why. When they run like that so free and wild, it's one of the most beautiful things ever created. I know they were scared too which I feel bad for, but it's just so....majestic.
Horses Escape From The Circus
One ran into a huge bus windshield. Poor things were terrified. They were in Hyde Park barracks area doing usual early morning exercising and got spooked and threw off their troopers or reared up being extremely dangerous which that many at one time is highly unusual. These Kings House Hold Calvary troopers are skilled. The horses are considered troopers too..they have the best of care. This is a most unfortunate unusual circumstance for the horses. Some troopers were taken to the hospital for non serious injuries. Horses are highly sensitive herd animals that will flight. The dismounted horses fleeing was a chain reaction? Someone said some construction concrete scared them. They are accustomed to crowds, traffic, band music however some strange unaccustomed noice may have spooked them. The troopers come last..the horse always comes first in care.
I do hope that the workers who frightened the horses are required to pay for all the hurt and damage which they caused.
So according to a barracks rep, someone on the construction crew knocked something over and it landed right next to the horses, which caused them to get spooked. I feel like there might be more to this story, as the horses are supposed to be trained to be used to city sounds/gunfire noise. But, I digress.

in fact ironically 4 horses in total actually escaped in this story (the other 2 must have run in another direction) - all found now though - one made it as far as limehouse in london (several miles).
