Just genuinely helpful and informative, only thing is that in x1c the c stands for carbon not for combo. So you would call it the a1 combo and not the a1c, because that would mean a1 carbon
Great video and exactly what I needed. Many thanks for this. I just received my A1C. My 1st mod is to build a complete mobile station for it, woodworker hobbyist here 😊. Will have space for tools, spare spools, plates, dehydrator and a low-moisture storage.
Before i watched this, i had already printed the top mount, the same poop bucket, hot end cable management cable, ptfe remove, xyz tools. I didnt print toolboxes, went for gridfinity instead. And had no need for a tapo camera upgrade. Id agree with your recommended prints. 👌🏻
Awesome info! I have somehow missed seeing the Z-Axis stiffener for the top mount, so I've been hesitant to do that. Now I have a new project! Thanks for a great video!
How did you know I went out yesterday and bought an A1 Combo to add to my collection? How thoughtful of you. 🙂 All joking aside I'm really glad to see you are continuing to release high quality and detailed videos w/o a lot of fluff. I'm happy to continue to sponsor such content. 💚
So awesome much appreciated! I had a 1 week vacation with my family then we all came home with Covid. I am sure you can tell in this video my voice was a little tired. Thank you for your continued support!
I think the best one for AMS Lite is a filament cover with a hygrometer. AMS Lite is not a good design because the filaments absorb all the moisture from the air, which leads to printing errors. In the P/X series this was solved excellently with a sealed AMS, but in the A1 it is exposed and this is a big problem.
I agree with that. For me in AZ we don't have a moisture problem lol. I feel I have to spray my filament with water because they are dyeing from dryness haha
I’ve printed the ultimate filament spool enclosure and it’s been working great for me. I use iiidmax brand spools and they just fit. The only thing that could be better is air tightness. I’m thinking about using a can of clear spray paint to help the desiccant last longer. In the future I’ll probably just add a couple solid state dehumidifiers.
near Perfect video, but, the speeded up fiddly removal of the spool arms doesnt work. I cant see exactly whats going on if you can re-do that, this would be, the best, key upgrades to a new A1 on you tube :) thanks for the time and speed to value ratio you put into this. Regards from Scotland.

I printed the same spool lock holders but I think you have them on backwards, no? The three prongs should point towards the spool to keep it in place I think. Great video tho my friend thank you! ❤
@@captainstress no fumes ever. The A1 is very quiet and the P1Ss are a little farther and only slightly louder. Not enough to distract me from my work.
The fumes will depend on personal sensitivities and the filament. PLA is supposed to be one of the least offensive, but when printing with my A1 using Bambu PLA, with the printer not quite 6 feet away, if I don't run our little air purifier full tilt I start to get a headache from the fumes. Can attest to the quietness of the A1, unless it is calibrating or doing a fast print, I hardly notice it.
@DionV I must not have a sensitivity as I sometimes run 4 printers at a time with PETG and never experience any symptoms. But that is definitely good to know in case I do notice headaches. Appreciate the response.
That totally comes down to your preference and what you plan to print. Now just because you have the AMS doesn't mean you have to use colors. It is also a great way to have backup filament of the same type in another slot so when filament runs out the AMS will kick in and reload your hotend and continue printing all with having to change out a spool. This along will save you a ton of time swapping and a ton of time when prints are just sitting on the build plate waiting for you to reload. I think this feature alone makes the AMS worth it.
