Thanks for preparing this fascinating video tour of Sebastien Josse's yacht. Thank you Sebastien for being so generous with your time and for your detailed responses, in a non-native language, to what were good questions. Yes, the audio recording was low in gain, but things go wrong sometimes when impromptu interview opportunities come along. This wasn't filmed inside a studio! When I saw the daily rations of packaged food, my first thought was, 'I hope there's an audit of all the packaging at the end of the race. We don't want to see that tossed over the side.'

I wondered what the "2-star cooker" was which Seb mentioned in connection with his freeze dried meals. Turns out he was referring to Julien Gatillon, 2-star (Michelin ranking) chef of Le 1920, the restaurant of the prestigious Four Seasons Hotel in the ski resort of Megève.
Here's a selection of dishes for the Route du Rhum on EdR:
Ragout Nicois avec cepes, soft polenta
Cabbage stuffed with veal, gnocchi with Menton lemon
Fricassee of Breton lobster, creamy risotto in Rimapere wine
Farm veal in white sauce, steamed potato
Caribbean lamb Colombo, quinoa with spices
      Minestrone with basil and garlic
      Velouté with mountain cepes
Compote of banana flambéed in Rum
      Nice-style sweetened Comté de blette
If you were negotiating Seb's terms and conditions it would pay to make sure he realised he didn't have to hand in any uneaten rations if he finished early!

Great video, very informative. 35 minutes to prepare a tack, then 15 to clean the boat. Sébastien, I love your english accent :) What is the brand of the navigation software you use?

What sucks about this is when they hit something, it could be giant wildlife and your boat is finished in the sea and it appears they go out without carrying a giant squid dispatch mechanism

Nigel Doyle agree. Especially with the loud ads in between it is really annoying!

Better check your ears then, or just turn up the volume... Not even hard to hear on a cellphone...
