Alexios is so bad as the hero and I really dont like Kassandra as the villain lol. Truly the best way to play odyssey is Kassandra as the hero and Alexios as the cheesy grandiose villain.
Like this game or not, we all gotta admit Kassandra's voice acting was amazing. Be it Kassandra or Deimos, she really captured the essence of the character.

Wow... I played as Kassandra, and every time Deimos came on screen, I thought of him as a annoying brainless idiot. But watching Kassandra as Deimos feels so much more menacing and evil. I now understand when actors say the way you deliver your line can make or your break your character.
OG version is cassandra as main protagonist and alexios is the bad guy, and you can see & feel it. kassandra VA does not sound evil or menacing at all. Poor people who played as alexios. SHe should have watched Eva Green in sequel of 300.. thats how she Kassandra should have acted.

All mocap was done by Kassandra's actress, thats why some cutscenes feel weird (femine like) if you play as Alexios, also voice over was done later, also voice over feels kinda off from time to time

Frankly, I played the game as Alexios. Because the figure of a brother who saved his sister from the hands of the sect drew me more into the game. I think Kassandra suits Deimos better. The figure of a strong woman, whose mind was manipulated by the sect, thrown down the mountain at a young age, and who fights all this in her mind, was more attractive to me. There is also a warrior older brother figure in Alexios who wants to save his mother and younger sister and destroy the cultists. She is also compassionate. Kassandra is a strong, wild woman who questions her past.
Alexios is a fearsome Deimos, but there's something about Kassandra that makes me like her more as Deimos. She's cold, unsettling, and seems unpredictable. It's like you'll always get into an anxious emotional state whenever she's around because you can't read her demeanor. You won't know whether she'll kill you or praise you, and that's what makes her truly menacing. Plus, her tall and imposing stature makes her all the more intimidating.
It's a great death though. Impaled by his own spear, hanging like that. I loved brasidas man, but i went HA! At that cutscene, but then I got sad. I also went HA when the tree fell on deimos.

I started replaying as Alexios from the beginning after finally completing the entire game (all DLCs included) as Kassandra...taking nothing away from him here, but her talent range is, IMO, vastly superior. She has a much deeper range of emotion and subtlety which makes the Misthios' story far more compelling.
17:41 is the best line in kassandras part as deimos... the animation lines up perfectly by the maniacal tone by the VA... this is the best part of her as Deimos just because the flow of emotion is just perfect
The guy actor does Deimos passably, but fell flat as a protagonist. Got through maybe 2 missions on NG+ as Alexios and decided that the acting sucks compared to Melisanthi Mahut, really flat and not nearly as charismatic as Mel, switched back to Kassandra.
Like the other dude said alexios just comes off as more of a brutish asshole and almost completely devoid of any empathy. Kass is more emotionally driven and almost out for vengeance after she knows who you are. They both were great villains and cultists in their own ways

The weird thing is, I played as Kassandra, got to know her, feel close to her, live many things with her. Because of that I can't take her seriously as Deimos. To me, Alexios looks more like the kind of person who would throw a tantrum, get mad, kill someone out of rage... plus he's scarier as Deimos. I love that we had that option though, and I really hope that AC will keep giving us the choice and create badass female characters.

I played 130 hours as Kassandra and I still think she is the best Deimos. I even considered playing as Alexios once just to get the feeling of seeing her as the hot villain, but thankfully this video exists.
Kassandra is my favorite AC character after this game (120 hours) and man I just can’t see myself playing as Alexios for even 3 hours. Kassandras VA just gives so much life to her that I just don’t see myself getting as invested into the game if she’s the villain and not the MC

I played as alexios and think deimos is much better as kassandra since ive got over 100 hours into thinking that way around, anyone who played the other way would prefer it like that. obvs there are going to be a couple of people who think that it should be the other way round to how they played but it wont be common

It's really interesting, how the two characters are so different in the same role with the same writing. One angry and unstable, the other scheming and unsettling. I love them both quite equally, both do brilliant jobs in the role. Though, I have to admit, in every scene but the first, for me, Kassandra takes the cake.
I like that Kassandra has a more subtle delivery as Deimos, but Alexios was made for the villain role. This part is definitely more effective with a loose canon. That and I also played as Kassandra for more than a hundred hours and she is one of the few female assassins we get to play as so I kind of have a bias.

I really love the banter at the end when you place the family as Lieutenants in the ship 😂 like true siblings. One thing bothered me though is that with the whole family alive- that should be considered “the perfect ending”. But the first DLC indicated that Kass/Alexios either had the “Tragic ending” since they subtly implied that they didn’t have a “home” and also that one choice dialogue “I don’t have a family” when they were talking to Neema/Natakas. So it is either the Tragic ending with all family members dead that is “canon” in this story OR the DLC is an optional ending to our protagonists. But then, we all know that Aya is a descendant to either of them. So wtf Ubi....having the family hinted dead in that DLC doesn’t sit well with me honestly.
I think the good ending is canon. I think, and call me crazy, that Ubisoft wanted to give us one Assassin's Creed protagonist whose entire family wasn't dead XD

Why did Ubisoft even give us the choice between a man and woman? Kassandra is clearly a better hero and Alexios is clearly a better villain. It just felt more natural with him "turning to the dark side." At least in the first Deimos scene. Been watching theradbrad and I only got to Deimos' debut.
I came back to this after the AC Valhalla crossover and I just had to remember how much more interesting of a dynamic Alexios and Kassandra had when Kassandra was Deimos. She was a phenomenal villain in every sense of the word and I loved playing against her and eventually having her as my really mean sister that's on my Spartan ship
I played through the story with Kassandra but I still think that both characters are pretty good as Deimos. also I love the acting at 17:43 really creepy ^^
Kassandra is the better hero AND the better Deimos. Alexios makes a better Deimos than he does a hero though. Anyone who decided to be Alexios made a mistake.
I took the time to line up the two scenes and surprisingly they are actually pretty different. Some of the "transitions" when they are walking across the circle seem pretty identical, but the two scenes are different enough that it's clear that they each did their own mocap. It seems in my opinion like Kassandra's actress went for a more "composed" performance, while Alexios' actor wanted him to seem somewhat unhinged, which I think was a really good move. I would've liked it if they had given them more breathing room to do their own thing with the Deimos intro, but I'm not a game dev so maybe that wasn't a possibility.

I played as Alexios and somehow Kassandra fit so much better to be the deimos for me (and especially when Alexios tried to persuade her to went back into family)
Somehow cultist Kassandra still comes across as the smarter of the two. Also her armour, it's a man's torso. In fact all but the cloth and amazon armours are, some of the helmets even have moustaches. I wish they'd made slimmer female versions of all the pieces. Not overly sexy, just feminine.
The scene where you upgrade your spear for the first time and Deimos appears before you: any thoughts on who delivered the emotional lines better? Such as ‘c’mon little brother/sister’ or ‘we still found each other’ and then the slap afterwards 😂
This game is honestly so great. It shows how you can tweak simple parts of a game and creat at least 2 time the content for probably 1/10 of the work. I just finished my play through as Kassandra and have yet to touch Alexios. So interested in what this will be. I LOVE everything about Kassandra's character so not sure how I'll feel playing against her. Seriously shout out to the writers and voice actors for making such great characters.
Nah, I think the problem here is the voice actor. Kassandra's voice actor is PERFECT, both as Deimos and Misthios. Her voice brings the character to life, you can hear all the emotions, the anger, the fear, the affection, the joy. Alexios' voice actor sounds like he's in a play... No emotions, or rather, very forced.. Nothing against the man, but he's terrible in both roles. Since Kassandra is canon, I played her as Mithios and to me that's what makes the most sense. It's strange to see her as Deimos, but she turned out much better than Alexios in the role. Oh, and don't forget the animations, the animations are awfull. Ubisoft did them dirty...
I play as Kassandra, and Alexios as Deimos was a wild, violent, but immature man, who was always angry and waiting to punch everything in front of him. Now I'm seeing Kassandra as Deimos.... And she is quite cool, dry, composed, and cold-blooded. She is the most scary when she is laughing or being sarcastic.

It's really interesting, how the two characters are so different in the same role with the same writing.
One angry and unstable, the other scheming and unsettling.
I love them both quite equally, both do brilliant jobs in the role.
Though, I have to admit, in every scene but the first, for me, Kassandra takes the cake.
this is why I think it's better to play as Alexios, I know Kassandra in canon, but her portrayal as Deimos is soo much more powerful
The last scene of Kassandra arguing with Alexios is such a relief for me... Feels like I just have a little sister thinking that I'm too bossy.

I like that Kassandra has a more subtle delivery as Deimos, but Alexios was made for the villain role. This part is definitely more effective with a loose canon.
That and I also played as Kassandra for more than a hundred hours and she is one of the few female assassins we get to play as so I kind of have a bias.
I am currently doing Kassandra as good, and I am then going reply to play Alexios as the good. Seeing Kassandra as evil is hot.
Lol, this just hits so wrong! 😂 I’ve played through this game three times and never could do Alexios as the Eagle Bearer. I gotta admit though, she makes a hellva Deimos as well! Melissanthi Mahut is just reaaaalllly good!
after seeing both versions of Deimos, i think Alexios portrays the better madman. his anger is more brutal and he feels more intimidating in the combat scenes.

I really love the banter at the end when you place the family as Lieutenants in the ship 😂 like true siblings. One thing bothered me though is that with the whole family alive- that should be considered “the perfect ending”. But the first DLC indicated that Kass/Alexios either had the “Tragic ending” since they subtly implied that they didn’t have a “home” and also that one choice dialogue “I don’t have a family” when they were talking to Neema/Natakas.
So it is either the Tragic ending with all family members dead that is “canon” in this story OR the DLC is an optional ending to our protagonists. But then, we all know that Aya is a descendant to either of them. So wtf Ubi....having the family hinted dead in that DLC doesn’t sit well with me honestly.
I think the good ending is canon. I think, and call me crazy, that Ubisoft wanted to give us one Assassin's Creed protagonist whose entire family wasn't dead XD

Why did Ubisoft even give us the choice between a man and woman? Kassandra is clearly a better hero and Alexios is clearly a better villain. It just felt more natural with him "turning to the dark side." At least in the first Deimos scene. Been watching theradbrad and I only got to Deimos' debut.
I came back to this after the AC Valhalla crossover and I just had to remember how much more interesting of a dynamic Alexios and Kassandra had when Kassandra was Deimos. She was a phenomenal villain in every sense of the word and I loved playing against her and eventually having her as my really mean sister that's on my Spartan ship
I played through the story with Kassandra but I still think that both characters are pretty good as Deimos. also I love the acting at 17:43 really creepy ^^

My option here is that Kassandras VA both a amazing lead and a amazing Deimos, however Alexios VA is a great Deimos but a exceedingly mediocre lead
You can tell the mocap stuff has been done by a man and they've just re-used it with Kassandra's character model. it looks unnatural.
I took the time to line up the two scenes and surprisingly they are actually pretty different. Some of the "transitions" when they are walking across the circle seem pretty identical, but the two scenes are different enough that it's clear that they each did their own mocap. It seems in my opinion like Kassandra's actress went for a more "composed" performance, while Alexios' actor wanted him to seem somewhat unhinged, which I think was a really good move. I would've liked it if they had given them more breathing room to do their own thing with the Deimos intro, but I'm not a game dev so maybe that wasn't a possibility.

I played as Alexios and somehow Kassandra fit so much better to be the deimos for me (and especially when Alexios tried to persuade her to went back into family)
Somehow cultist Kassandra still comes across as the smarter of the two. Also her armour, it's a man's torso. In fact all but the cloth and amazon armours are, some of the helmets even have moustaches. I wish they'd made slimmer female versions of all the pieces. Not overly sexy, just feminine.

It doesn't feel right this way, its way better playing as kassandra.
This game is honestly so great. It shows how you can tweak simple parts of a game and creat at least 2 time the content for probably 1/10 of the work.
I just finished my play through as Kassandra and have yet to touch Alexios.
So interested in what this will be. I LOVE everything about Kassandra's character so not sure how I'll feel playing against her.
Seriously shout out to the writers and voice actors for making such great characters.

Nah, I think the problem here is the voice actor. Kassandra's voice actor is PERFECT, both as Deimos and Misthios. Her voice brings the character to life, you can hear all the emotions, the anger, the fear, the affection, the joy. Alexios' voice actor sounds like he's in a play... No emotions, or rather, very forced.. Nothing against the man, but he's terrible in both roles. Since Kassandra is canon, I played her as Mithios and to me that's what makes the most sense. It's strange to see her as Deimos, but she turned out much better than Alexios in the role.
Oh, and don't forget the animations, the animations are awfull. Ubisoft did them dirty...
I play as Kassandra, and Alexios as Deimos was a wild, violent, but immature man, who was always angry and waiting to punch everything in front of him.
Now I'm seeing Kassandra as Deimos.... And she is quite cool, dry, composed, and cold-blooded. She is the most scary when she is laughing or being sarcastic.
To see Kassandra as Deimos 😭💔 I'm a chick and I still feel the need to save the female characters 😄. It's heartbreaking to see her as Deimos...Alexios not so much.
