The Ungodly God have you played god of war 4? Kratos didn’t kill himself, he actually couldn’t even if he wanted to, he killed the god of death AND hades. But the blade of Olympus is so powerful that it was able to spread hope after impaling kratos.

@@kevinsuleymanov1951 Right, I specifically have a save to open just for the fight with Zeus because the accompanying song just gets your blood pumping. Makes it feel even better when you get the controls down to where you just feel like Kratos rampaging. Something to be said about beat em ups like this, you dont see nearly as much nowadays.

Overall I agree with you but my favourite is the first 1. It had stunning graphics for a PS2, was very innovative with its controls and puzzles and the storyline was amazing.
Airo144 gow 2 was the best in my opinion at least in terms of exploration, you traveled all over Greece and in gow 3 it's just mount Olympus, which is nothing bad, if gow 3 did something best it has to be the attention to detail and the beautiful environments, at least before kratos fucks them up lol
It's the most fair GOW. Only unfair fight is the Scorpion. But God of War 2 is the best
God Of War 3's ending really makes you feel like Kratos had finally got the peace he deserved, in a sick & twisted way that is.
remember that he does have Hades soul, which is somewhat immortality in the dead

I really enjoyed the story. Personally, I don't think I could play these myself (the brutality in some of the scenes makes me a little uneasy), but the story is still fantastic and creative. Would watch again.

it began with Kratos falling off a cliff and now it ends with him falling off of one once more.
Great game. The graphics were some of the best i've seen.
The game was the best story mode I have ever played. But blood disappointed me. It wasn't so real. But this game is my whole childhood and the themes cause me tears because of nostalgia.
Still the best god of war series

In God of War 3: Remastered (PS4) the credits is twice longer than this. Like rather a post-credit scene, it is like a mid-credit scene as another set of credits appear afterwards.

Kratos is alive, go to the end of the video. And also check Kratos' page at GOW wiki - 'Kratos status: unknown' which means he's alive. Don't know if there will be a fourth one though.

But those who played gow 1,2 psp games and ascension know His life was cruel by the gods
Its 2021, i love this game
The game is perfect. The best story mode game ever. But the blood disappointed me. The way that the blood was shed after the "death" of Zeus in front of Gaia's heart, was awful. But when Kratos killed himself, the graphics was so good, especially when the hole on his body was showed up with a lightning's help. The game is my whole childhood and as a Greek I am very proud that such a game trilogy is based on my country's mythology and culture.

I have a half-assed theory, man. Hades is dead and everyone in the underworld is out, right? That means his brother is out too. His brother might have dragged him off the cliff. I mean, The remastered games for the PS3 give you a trophy just for watching "Birth Of The Beast". I dunno, man. I just hope to see more sibling rivalry like Hercules and Kratos. Kick ass walkthrough :D.
I see what you mean there but I don't think things would have worked out that way at all. It appears like even the soul of Deimos is dead now...would have loved to see him come back to life and actually be the brother he was meant to be once.
I came here after finishing GOW 3 Remastered cuz I wanna check something. and lo and behold Mark Cerny is actually doing some support while cooking the PS4. and I only knew him with his GDC's and Knack but damn little did we know Mark is actually in the company before he was big

it's a dramatic ending... the entire world is in chaos, humanity there is no more, all that left is athena, that weird rain (hope i think it is) and a half dead kratos... is this the 2 years expected final for the game??
by the way, has anyone noticed that a tornado is formed just when kratos stands up?

After the credits you see the imprint of the Phoenix where his body is supposed to be. That should be more than enough of a hint that we'll see Kratos will rise again.

i dont know if u guys have noticed but after the credits u see the seus sword but no kratos and the blood lead to the ledge like his draging his selve and u know he just couple of times before

Yeah, I was surprised by all of the hints involving Kratos' brother in GOWIII. Non-canon becomes canon, it seems. It also seems like some of the details about Kratos' brother are different than the original video would have us believe, though.
The note from Kratos' mother suggests that Kratos did something horrible to his brother. There was also an adult voice that Kratos heard when he was in his mind. In the original video, the brother died as a kid. No brother in adult.
The first credits song is awesome, but it seems to have been omitted from the official soundtrack CD. Anyone know how it's called? Jeez, I hate it when they screw up like that. Same shit with the cutscenes - after completing the game, you unlock only the most boring ones. In God of War 2 they actually let you view ALL in-game cutscenes in order, which was insanely cool.

there's a blood trail leading to the end of the cliff right, remember at the beginning of god of war one kratos jumps of that same cliff
I closed the game when the credits showed up and then opened it again to see what I got after completing the game but it didn't dave do I have to play it again and watch 9 mins of credits😭

Actually there's quite a bit of gods and goddesses alive. Kratos only killed the ones that got in his way, hence why Aphrodite was left alive. Eos is around still, so is Morpheus I would assume. I would imagine Demeter is alive too, what with Persephone existing. Really there's potential for another game in the series, but I don't see Kratos being the protagonist. Also, I'd like to see something done with his brother, since his existence is hinted throughout the game.

@molee01 they left the ending open for people to decide. At the end of the credits, there's a blood trail leading AWAY from where Kratos collapsed. Leading others to believe Kratos might still be alive. But either what, what I said was a response to another comment and what I think might happen if he IS alive :)

@dasupasin you're wrong the first 3 god of war games are the trilogy about kratos story the guy behind god of war 3 already said there will be another god of war just not with kratos has kratos story ends in this one BUT with the message of kratos brother in the underworld and even Zeus mentioning him has "the other one" its obvious the next god of war games will be about his brother you might want to check out the video god of war - birth of the beast

@usualbikegtgt but there is a reason. When a God dies, the powers he held are released to the world. Kratos held the power of hope however he knew he couldn't use it effectively due to his anger and apathy stifling it. He also knew he couldn't trust Athena with it. His only option left was to release hope to the world by killing himself, giving the remainder of mankind the strength to survive the chaos he brought to the world.
@dlteodorian Kratos and Hercules are only brothers in that their father is Zeus. In the Birth of the Beast, Kratos was born with a brother, who wasn't Hercules, who gained power in the underworld. Not sure how they would make that into a new game though, I kind of liked the way this trilogy ended.
