Great buyer’s guide. Can you do one on the D4 S8 and S8 Plus? Other cars I am considering are C7/C7.5 RS7 and W212 E63. The 2013-2017 Audi 4.0 TFSI engine also has a big issue with turbo failures. Due to lack of oil caused by blocked oil feed screen/strainer. A lot of activity has occurred on this issue since you made this video. There is a NTSA safety recall for the screens and and extended warranty on the turbos from Audi.
So let me know again why I’d consider driving a German luxury sedan . Everyone of them across the badges have serious issue’s. A beautiful car to sit in and wait for AAA tow truck.

Im actually in the market for one of these got a couple questions. Between the 4.2 V8 from 2011-2012 model vs the newer models with the 4.0t V8 which engine is more reliable if you know. Been researching the 4.2 and the only problem i can find is the carbon buildup

That sounds like a fair deal especially since it has all the options. The low miles makes it super appealing you'd just need to see how beat it is in person, as in how long its had the mods done, and if the tune has any type of warranty.
I’m considering buying it soon but I’m very hesitant between the reliability between V6 , V8 and W12 of all kinds. I will just pick the less problematic one . Can help me please ? Which engine among these is the most reliable ? Please help
@@AnwarAndCars yes , I mean the less maintained one , the less headache 🙂 especially in the very hot summer that reaches 50 Celsius .The one that can live longer and can resist and defy hot summers
I saw some of those cars and also some reviews and many people are complaining about vibration around 3000rpm. Do you guys know anything about it and how to fix it?
the 4.2fsi used in s4 and s5 is utter garbage in those models they used plastic quides for the timing chain. and we all know thats up for no good. but on A8 they used metallic ones.

engine wise the 4.2 has issues with injectors and carbon build up also timing chains is something to keep an eye on.. its an engine out service

supercharged v6 will be the most reliable as well as economical if that is what your main focus is.

Yes it’s a down pipe issue. It was a factory recall. I had mine fixed before I purchased it
