the song is iine, it's a capital i, not a lower case L, pronounced like ee-nay. I lot of people mistake the spelling, fear not. It's always nice to see people highlight thier early music and their beginnings.
Correct. The word iine means that's good or sounds good or good job, something along those lines. I think Heemz caught on after hearing them say it about 20 times in the song. 😁
⚡ 💀 💕 / 👍 This song was first released on a joint single with the death pop band Kiba of Akiba. The single included BABYMETAL's cover of 'Kimi to Anime Ga Mitai', the Kiba of Akiba song 'Party @the BBS' and a Kiba of Akiba cover of the BABYMETAL song 'Doki Doki ☆ Morning'. A really strange cover of 'Doki Doki ☆ Morning'. : ) This is the probably the ultimate, "Do you like music genres? We smooshed them all into this one song for you." My favorite EDM Dance Rave electro HipHop Kawaii Metal song of all time. : ) They hadn't performed this one since they toured the Southern USA with the Red Hot Chili Peppers in April of 2017, but they brought it back in 2023.
Great reaction. Well done for paying attention and nearly getting out of the 'Line' trap. It is a bit of an in joke now, but that first letter is a capital i, so it is 'iine' (ee-neh). 'Iine' means 'so good' like a thumbs up emoji.👍 It was only the second song they released, so 2011 I think (it was their third song but IDZ, which was the second song they performed, was released later) and they were clearly establishing very early on that all the usual rules of what you can do, what genres you can mix into one song and so on were not going to apply to BABYMETAL. So EDM, a bit of hip hop/rap and then that drop into death metal (they did warn you - "Yo yo yo yo. Microphone check, one two one two. Are you ready to mosh? Kitsune da o!")🤘🦊 Quite possibly the best drop into death metal from hip hop ever - and then back to the EDM to finish. As the song title suggests - it is so good.👍 In most live versions they swapped the rap and it became a call and response (they kept it in some live performances of course - "BABYMETAL in da house!") ... but that drop is still there. In this instance the growling vocals in the death metal part are explaining the hand sign is not the traditional metal devil horns or maloik, it is the kitsune (fox🦊).
Grington welcome back appreciate you coming through as always It was definitely a close one but then when I started to hear it I was like okay had to switch it up. Please feel free to drop another suggestion for babymetal or if you have another artist or group in mind I would love to hear your thoughts on them
Babymetal well known for their seamless transitions from the start. 🙂
