NEW EDITION! Roosevelt Campobello International Park's- Witapehtiyik ‘tawtimuwa - Friendship Trail

This is the video I filmed and produced for the Roosevelt Campobello Island International Park! It premiered at the Parks recent 60th Anniversary Celebration and played all day along with the video all about this amazing park that actor Sam Waterston narrated. Coming in late 2024 is the Roosevelt Campobello International Park Commission's most exciting project to date. The Friendship Trail or in Passamaquoddy, Witapehtiyik 'tawtimuwa, has been several years in the making and will be completed in late summer 2024.
This one-of-a-kind trail has been engineered specifically to ensure no permanent negative impact on the Park's unique wetland bog. An extensive Environmental Impact Assessment has been independently undertaken over the past 2 years and will guide the design and installation of the trail following established best conservation practices.
With over 1,700 ft of engineered floating walkway/cycleway, this 3.5-mile trail will open up access to an additional 1,000 of the Park. The trail will provide a unique opportunity for education programs to study the importance and diversity of a wetland bog ecosystem. An engineered bridge takes hikers and cyclists over the Lower Duck Pond, a bird watchers delight.
Installation is being undertaken by Flood Brothers Engineers with an opening ceremony planned for May 2025.

That's beautiful. I don't know anything about Campobello except for the connection to the Roosevelts. Beautiful drone work, as usual. That must have been a fun opportunity for you.
