I think #8 is a regional thing. In my area, throwing both shots in a frame during warmup is completely normal. It's rare someone doesn't take both shots.
In the beginner league I was originally in, everyone took 2 shots during practice. In the sanctioned leagues I'm in now, it's in the rules to throw only one ball per turn during practice. Even though it's in the rules like that, my team will tend to ask the other team how they prefer it, "One ball or two balls?", and we go with their answer.
Haha! In my bowling league, there is at least 1 person per each of these pet peeves. The best is the person who spends 20+ seconds fidgeting on the approach just to throw a shot that misses the head pin on the first ball or miss a 5 pin spare.
My biggest pet peeve is the person that spends 10 minutes on the approach and the second you decide to go, they go at the same time. I can block out people, but their synchronized timing throws me off. Worse when you wait on purpose and it still happens.
@SirJones357 i step onto the approach, setup my posture, look at where I am aiming for (breakpoint), take a breath, then go. It shouldn't take longer than a few seconds.
@CliftonDon74 .... For you lol.. I'm the same way, but what does that mean.. that's like saying because I go up take a quick breath and shoot my free throw, Jason Kidd shouldn't be blowing kisses to the air 😂 everyone's different
In my league there are a lot of older folks who can’t hook anymore and throw the ball slow and they always get peeved when their balls bounce off the pins instead of carrying
💯 this. Just throw the dang ball. People need to spend time practicing next to a kids birthday party. No better way to learn how to become more focused.
Didn't see my #1, being a lefty and someone on the lane left of me giving body english to a shot and ending up on the edge of my lane. Beyond self-absorbed!!
I'm guilty of the #1... I just get mad when I make all kinds of adjustments to just leave the same 10 pin. Move left, move right, move forward, or move back, ball change, 10 pin. Beer more beer... Another one that's missing is the wet shoes from free play bowlers. Huge pet peeve!
Of course every shot should strike! I chose the pattern and I oiled the lanes myself! What fun is being a lane technician if you can't artificially inflate your own average!?!
Standing on the approach is what a lot of new bowlers do. They throw their first shot and then they stand on the approach waiting for the ball to come back. Sometimes in league I’ll say something. Usually, I just let them finish. Let someone else tell them. Lol.
Oh I see all of this and more in my league haha However im gonna permanently borrow Dashas smirk/grin when asked why dont I smile more Along with the flex an yay converting spares I’ve already perfected the short steps head snapped back pouting as Nick showed haha Excellent video you two!!
How many throws did Dasha have to make for that last segment? That one was funny, because a friend of mine once said he had 27 perfect pocket shots but couldn't get any carry - barely broke a 500 for the night lol
@RobertThroop-gp9cs 🤣 The different characters at the bowling alley are what make this place interesting, but the most annoying are the ones who celebrate every strike with a loud war cry of some sort. It can be distracting in the middle of one's approach, even 2 lanes over. All in fun
I've gotten into whipping my slide shoe with my hand as a pre-shot routine. Started after leaving my shoe cover on once. I can tell you it's saved me a bunch of times since.
Is it a bad thing to be standing up ball in hand waiting while the lane next to you is going through their pre shot routine? Not making noise, or giving off any hurry up vibes. The alternative would be sitting in your chair waiting for them to throw their shot before you get up and grab your ball. Your #2 gets close to it, Im talking about standing well off the approach, not showing any signs of wanting to bowl.
@@brunsnick Im getting back into bowling after not bowling for 10+ years. Absolutely having the time of my life. Ive always been a "no you go ahead" bowler. Never in a rush, try and tell people good shot etc. Lately Ive found Ill get a dirty look when Im standing behind the ball return, back by the computer, waiting for the person next to me to finish their turn. Its mind boggling. I legit thought something must have changed. Appreciate the answer.
@tommarlow8277 🤣 the farthest I have run out a shot is 10 lanes!!! 🤣 but we were a league who took only half the alley and the rest was empty. Plus, I was in high-school.
-Bowler #1 completes their 10th frame in game 3, waits for their ball to return, puts it into their bag and is out the door before bowler #2 finishes their 10th.
Taking 2 shots during practice is the norm at my bowling center, however we'd ask next in line if they wanted to shoot at a particular spare, but I'd understand the one shot rule if only 5mins were allotted for practice
Guilty of #4 lol. My highest is a 212 and occasionally I end up doing low 100s because I just can’t get my aim right. It’s just frustrating to not perform your best sometimes. However, I need to learn it’s just a game and I am not competing with anyone.
the most annoying one is if you have a split and you go for it and miss. Theres always that guy who says "you gotta hit one to hit the other," really I didnt think so!?!?
There is a league player at our center that always laughs when you make a bad shot. Yet he has offered me good advise and asked if it would be okay before offering it. So I am patient with him. He also laughs when he makes a good shot, so perhaps it’s a nervous tick of some sort. Either way a lot of bowlers really get unnerved by him.
I might upset a few here…. How about most bowlers expecting 2 lane courtesy when the official league rules say 1 lane. Then you have all the guys standing on the approach over a 6 lane stretch looking at each other trying to decide who goes first. When they do that… f’m… I just go. 😂
I think #8 is a regional thing. In my area, throwing both shots in a frame during warmup is completely normal. It's rare someone doesn't take both shots.
For my league we don’t take both shots because we only get 5 mins of practice
I mean, in my high school league you get 5 mins on both lanes, so we just throw one shot each, trying to link up our strike shot

I can’t stand it when people take 2 shots in practice. Should be made into a USBC rule and leagues should mandate 1 ball only!
Great video, made me laugh! Love Dasha, one of my favs, hope she has a great year
@@marks2193 I agree. Dasha can be funny.
-Anchor bowler has to finish their 10th and then go back and write everyone's scores down on the recap because everyone else is too lazy to do it.
All the leagues around myself everyone takes 2 shots like a legit frame in practice. But we get 10-15 minutes depending on the house.
Ha! I think I see people do 9 of these every week lol. The leaving the alley to get another bowl and BrunsNick falling asleep is hilarious. 😂

@JVette82 are you talking about two lanes?
You can't really condemn someone for trying to get comfortable and their ritual consistent lol.. But I get it

Our League everyone takes 2 shots for practice. In my mens league many years ago only the 1st rack was full after that it was empty pit.
Amazing little series, keep it up!
Def an amazing series...nothing lil about it
Giving and expecting lane courtesy during the 10 minute warmup is a pet peeve of mine. That, and resetting the rack if you don't have a full one.
💯 this. Just throw the dang ball. People need to spend time practicing next to a kids birthday party. No better way to learn how to become more focused.
I will throw at anything anytime in warmups.
Did #9 last week almost caused me to do a #2 scared the crap out of me

What about when someone brings 15 balls to league and averages 170... Anyone here know cupcake Larry from northway? ;)
Oscar-worthy performances! All of them were "Oh, so true!"
Don't know her personally but Dasha is pretty darn funny!
#1...definitely. OMG.That one. Right there.
How many throws did Dasha have to make for that last segment? That one was funny, because a friend of mine once said he had 27 perfect pocket shots but couldn't get any carry - barely broke a 500 for the night lol
Unfortunately i experience most of these situations where i bowl

So what is up with the re-release? This happened with volume 1 also. Love the content regardless :)

-Absolutely having to be the first person to roll a ball when the lanes come on for practice
Ok but #1 is definitely every bowler I know lol.. I know ppl who only hit the 7 pin expecting it to strike lol
I am guilty of #10 and proud of it.
Absolutley love these
No wonder I simply adore Dasha! Have bowled in a pro am with her. A definite one of a kind! An awesome lady.
everybody takes both shots in warmup in my league.
Although I completely agree with the one shot in practice, I have never seen anyone do it. When I suggest it, I get weird and confused looks.
-People who reset the machine because a pin is missing during warm up...wasting everyone's practice time
#4s, ugh....'Buck-40' avg. ball-return kickers/towel chuckers 🤦♂️
You left out sitting at the tables way behind the pit then sauntering up when it’s their turn slowing the momentum down.
-Throwing a ball down the lane when it's off because the desk person is 1 minute late in turning the lanes on
Is this a repost
3:02 is my biggest pet peev unless both teams agree upon taking two shot.
Why though. It doesn't save any time doing one shot
@@novinnovations4026 my issue is when you don't communicate/ask to take 2 second shot. Has nothing to due with time at all.

I never knew #7 was a thing and looked down upon. Everyone in my leagues throws double shots. Lol
I used to have a teammate who thought any ball that touched the headpin was in the pocket and therefore should have been a strike.
Holy hell. It seems you have quite a bit of snow where you are.
Should it be one lane courtesy or two in league?
One lane. unless you're in the Metro Detroit area where everyone expects two lane always

It would be great if the # were first then the visual description. Ugh...😅 Great job by the way!.

Both shots during practice should be the norm. It is in my Big Money leagues

I agree with all except the 2 shots during practice. I was taught you only get 2 shots per lane and then you sit down

fell after i left my shoe cover on today because the ball return kept breaking so i had to change lanes a ton of times because bowlero is the devil.

As the Germans say.... nine 😂😂😂
if you are so easily distracted by any of these you need to work on your mental game and focus...
what is wrong with taking 2 shots in practice, been in many leagues like this, if this bothers you , strengthen your mental game
