I had a really good time at the clinic there in Des Moines. Ever since, I feel like my physical game has been the best it’s ever been. It was nice to have a lefty to lefty talk, I’ll keep our discussion in mind for future tournaments and find some success in some Regionals next year!
I am happy to be averaging 140 after a year of practice. Learning something new everyday. Lots of smack talk when Packy is probably at the lanes at least 6 hours every day. These kids are phenomenal though with being in high school and being so high with averages.
Packy rolling that White Dot Diamond ! The best spare ball i have owned i love mine. But they talking trash to packy about missing a 7 pin 😆 !! Future high school coach packy 😆. Reminds me of league night why i quit coaching the other team during league play. Ive learned to be quiet until it's over. Great video
I average almost 210 at a house with notoriously bad carry. Based on my form most people would guess I’m 10-20 pins below what I actually score. What somebody “looks like” doesn’t necessarily translate into how successful they are
This was back in the 60s: I had bowled a fair bit as a kid with house stuff. I went to college and joined my first league. I got my own ball (hard rubber Brunswick), shoes, bag. I did tolerable well in the league, but somehow, had the high game, a 256! Later on in years, I managed a 300. The moral is: everybody starts somewhere and you learn. One day, the stars align and you pop a big score, making everyone's jaw drop. You can do this, just relax and believe in yourself. Happy bowling.
Packy if u are ever near or in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Me and my boys would love to challenge u to a match at our local center. No plastic. A straight up game of bowling 😁
@TaylorBingham-l2b haha, neither are we just your avg league and tournament bowlers. But we like a good challenge, we'll i do at least. Can't speak for everyone else 😂
You should try challenging a bunch of high schools from each state. Or states near by. But it’s so crazy how those high schoolers average such high averages.
Man I wanted to attend your camp! Considering the lanes is only 10 minutes from me. Life happens though. I’ll make sure to catch ya when you come back to Des Moines though, one of my favorite bowlers Packy!
Packy was super kind to them with the opportunities. I hope the 240 average comment was sarcasm because for all that smack and the results I think he may be dyslexic. :P
The moment he said they weren't on house and the highschoolers wernt throwing the purple hammer, I said, "Why in the world aren't they throwing it?" If it's not a house, just throw a purple hammer
we all know bowlingballs have changed over the years packy, but whats not talked about that i think is extremely important and thats how bowling shoes have improved. talk about the type of shoes you were and how its improved your game. thanks
Before yall pick on the kids, they probably do average what they say they do on house shots, problem is theyre playing on a professional pattern which is a lot harder
Tungsten? That’s on the easy end of the challenge pattern range. But they’re obviously talking smack and packy is a nice guy, no clue why so many seem to miss that.
Classic overconfident house shot bowlers. I know a lot of 220-250 average bowlers that can't break 200 outside of their home center. You must strive to bowl on many many different shots at many centers, it forces you to learn to read the lanes and actually get good. There's no replacement for genuine experience bowling at a lot of different places with different patterns.
House bowling competitors gotta boost their average by at least 30 pins whenever they show up cause I know a high school bowler isn't averagine 240. that's fucking nuts.
As a two hander, these kids made the same mistake i always make on sport. Going in too deep from the start anticipating the breakdown before it happens
i really wonder what the hell is up with the averages over there in America? the one dude that says he averages 240 and looks like a 150 average bowler to me, just house shots? just 1 center? i really don't get it, i been playing league and tournaments all over Europe with National players and no one is close on any ranking to 220 to 240 and they play 300-500 registered games a season. is it with handicap? i really don't get it.
Packy is always willing to give back to the youth. He's definitely one of the many carrying the bowling community into the future
Thanks for the opportunity!
Everyone is dogging on Damien in the comments
Jolly ahhh 🥷(happy 4 u slime)
Your Bowling Skill has been surpassed by your coaching and engaging with these highschoolers. Well done, Packy, well done.

Love that you didnt just let them win. Thats the only way they'll get better. Respect.
it's always nice seeing pro bowlers help others and get involved with the community. Great Video!!!
I appreciate that! It's always fun to give back to the sport!

Packy is such a good dude and obviously cares about the youth, love him for that!
pac you are fun to watch throw dude. appreciate you showing the next generation the right way to read the lanes.
Great idea on getting the youngsters involved and great to give some advice how to shoot those shots. bravo and encore!
So nice to watch Packy basically coaching the youngins 😀
That's great you're helping out the young lads..
They’re the future of bowling!
Nice job boys! Very cool to see the coaching from a professional and the boys growing from it!
They were super easy to coach, and it helped that we had a clinic right before hand for 4 hours :)
Great coaching! I recently donated my bowling balls to high schoolers! Let's raise up the next generation together!
lol i cant lie i dont believe kid averages 240 lol. Thats right i said it
Yeah doesn’t seem right lol
If you bowl on a singular house shot everyday you can average 240. I still don’t know if I believe him.
Yeah I average like 210 on house pattern and about 170 on sports shots. Those kids just need more practice on challenging patterns.
Why yall hating on my boys
A highschooler that doesnt have great speed control yet and not a ton of sport experience? Yeah i could buy 240
Packy rolling that White Dot Diamond ! The best spare ball i have owned i love mine. But they talking trash to packy about missing a 7 pin 😆 !! Future high school coach packy 😆. I would say some people fit into that same boat! Some people average 230 but on sport shot 170 where you average 210 but might average 200 on sport!
@ I’ve bowled challenge and sport at other houses and I’m about 190-195. A drop off definitely but not as drastically as other people
I broke 100 in league and got 114, finally😅. Nice video

@@user-fd2dc8us8n Thanks 🙂😀😎
Good job Noni, keep working and you'll be a 200 scratch bowler before long. This internet stranger is proud of you
entertaining house video and watching the packers beat the bears in the same video. double win
Packy if u are ever near or in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Me and my boys would love to challenge u to a match at our local center. No plastic. A straight up game of bowling 😁
Shit I’ll come challenge yall lol I’m not a pro but bowl in tournaments all over the state I bowl out of Russellville and Cabot
@TaylorBingham-l2b haha, neither are we just your avg league and tournament bowlers. But we like a good challenge, we'll i do at least. Can't speak for everyone else 😂
You should try challenging a bunch of high schools from each state. Or states near by.

We'll have to do more high school challenges!
Packy Hanrahan the Kids destroyer & the Kokamo Champ! great bowling Packy!
Great video. Nice of you to mentor some youngins!
Gotta say, I haven't bowled for a long time and never did so at any serious level, but these videos are super addicting
We appreciate the support!
“I average 240” but proceed to miss the pocket by miles lol
House Avg does not equal Sport Avg, those sport shots are no joke.
Teaching these boys how to bowl!
I love seeing that he’s a lefty! I’m a lefty too, in my league there’s I think only 1 other lefty! (Which is to my advantage)
Really thought Pack would sandbag big time in the 2nd game. No mercy!
Packy is actually winning multiple challenges now this must be a lucky end of the year!
Gotta lock in come the tour season!
Man I wanted to attend your camp! Considering the lanes is only 10 minutes from me. Life happens though. I’ll make sure to catch ya when you come back to Des Moines though, one of my favorite bowlers Packy!
It's obvious that these kids are creatures of the typical house wall shot.
That was very fun to watch.
no way you were in my community. hope you come back
I love watching cocky house shot bowlers find out what it’s like to bowl on a sports shot. Nothing is more humbling than that..
Packy was super kind to them with the opportunities. I hope the 240 average comment was sarcasm because for all that smack and the results I think he may be dyslexic. :P
Kid who talked smack.. needs to bowl Packy one on one.
you gotta come down to Missouri and give some of us a try
Fun video 😊
Great vid brother love to see helping the future of bowling
bruh is that game day lanes?? would have been insane to see PACKY in dsm!
Thanks for the fun challenge, might need a rematch later on
Good job helping the youth, but at the same time Packy should have shown no mercy. Welcome to the real world mf's.
Man wish I would have known Packy was coming to DSM
The moment he said they weren't on house and the highschoolers wernt throwing the purple hammer, I said, "Why in the world aren't they throwing it?" If it's not a house, just throw a purple hammer
My high school actually won the 2024 Iowa state championship😁
I like watching your videos
Every one of these videos I see pros doing with others, they always say they average 200+ and then doesn't even come close to 200 lol
Packy THE MAN! from KOKAMO PBA national championship WIN!
we all know bowlingballs have changed over the years packy, but whats not talked about that i think is extremely important and thats how bowling shoes have improved. talk about the type of shoes you were and how its improved your game. thanks
I love bowling
What Pound Bowling Ball do you prefer on your Spare-Ball ?
16, 15, or even lower ?

Tungsten? That’s on the easy end of the challenge pattern range. But they’re obviously talking smack and packy is a nice guy, no clue why so many seem to miss that.
Must also be nice to have parents to drop $1,000 on your bowling equipment.
@@steve4880I spend my own money on my equipment. Some of us aren’t familiar or haven’t bowled on tungsten often
@@jannthomsen2760i agree with you these guys don't seem that good like in the beginning it looked like most of them were using a purple hammer
@@steve4880those boys buy their own stuff. I know because I work in the shop.

I am not really a bowler, What is special about the purple ball? Is it better for strikes? also are they all using 16lbs?
They are all throwing 15lbs and urethane in general creates a smoother reaction on the lane that is more predictable!
Urethane just has a more controlled predictable hook unlike reactive which has a lot more tail end hook and plastic has little to none
Not one person is a one hander how times have changed 😂
thats the alley i bowl at every sunday, im not the best at it but im pretty decent as a beginner
Sent you a challenge but just had my rotator cuff surgery so might be a little bit before I can bowl again
Oh no , heal up quick!
Using the illegal Michael Jordan ball and doing a challenge like this would also be a great idea😂😂
I bowl in Springfield MO and will make you look good for the RUclips channel
Need it!
as many time as i see the single pin id be flipping it off every single time
Would be dope if you came to milwaukee and bowled against some of me and my college teammates
That would be hype! What college?
@@TheHouseBowling UW milwaukee
Im a lefty too, this is how I normally bowl reactive is just too strong for me
Have you tried some super weak reactives like a raw hammer solid?? Or a Nu Blue Hammer?
@TheHouseBowling I would love to have a nu blue hammer I prefer that type of ball, all my balls are vintage now...blue dot clear wolf quantum helix.
Brooooo you were at merle hay!?!?!? I live a block away fuuuuuuuuudge
Damn Packy... you almost lost that
I’ll challenge you! Come to Russellville,Ar I average a 263
Go to Ionia in Michigan
yo paky whats the best pattern you ever played, thats the most easy for purple hammer you have ever played on
Thanks for supporting youth bowling Packy! Love to see this kind of stuff.
White Dot Diamond is the 🐐
MAN WISH I COULD HAVE DONE THIS
please bowl carter soulzback one of the best bowlers in high school now he goes to iowa state i wanna see that please
Not the old man in the back like 😮
Those are not the best, but the compliment was nice.
Mike Erickson, isnt that the guy who bowled a 300 in the game against a subscriber?
Yes it is!!
Why not Kendall Bell? He was state champion last year?
Wasn’t at the clinic
My varsity 1 averages a 260 in iowa and we have a freshman who averages about a 220
House bowling competitors gotta boost their average by at least 30 pins whenever they show up cause I know a high school bowler isn't averagine 240. that's fucking nuts.
He actually does on his league shot!
He does i bowl in the same Saturday league with him he's the highest average he's really good
@@TheHouseBowling well.. is it one week in? because a 240 average bowler doesn't miss spares this much and split, granted it is sport.
I don't believe any of these kids average what they say they do
same like 240 average is insane (i bowled 238 average in no tap)
@@sleepyvalval0he absolutely does in the junior league at bowlarama in Des Moines.
They don't... their equipment does.
yeah I think it's roughly 30-50pins higher than they're actual average.
they all have purple hammers for their intro then they bowl with something completely differant
"if i miss this, i'm going home"
hahaha
He does bowl 240 I go with him all the time
I didnt see any 185 ave bowlers in this video
Give them the dang bowling balls, they killed it out there.
Gave them a ball a piece for helping out!
@TheHouseBowling My man 🕺
Bro not averging 240 😂
Do any young bowlers go 1 handed anymore?
When the bet bowler over the last 2 decades has bowled with two hands a lot of kids want to be just like him!
Is that a sanded down Radical The Spy?
Nope just a regular white dot! hahaha
As a two hander, these kids made the same mistake i always make on sport. Going in too deep from the start anticipating the breakdown before it happens
It’s the bowler, not the equipment (usually)
Nothing against it. But is putting your thumb in the ball a dead concept?
most of my local bowlers are throwing 1 handed, just depends where you're viewing the game i guess
That kid yanks on purple hammers on a house shot and averages 240?!
Sport shot is a pain!
Its tough for sure!!
i really wonder what the hell is up with the averages over there in America? the one dude that says he averages 240 and looks like a 150 average bowler to me, just house shots? just 1 center? i really don't get it, i been playing league and tournaments all over Europe with National players and no one is close on any ranking to 220 to 240 and they play 300-500 registered games a season. is it with handicap? i really don't get it.
