New Engine Knock Sensor from 1AAuto.com 1aau.to/ia/1AEK...
A knock sensor monitors your vehicle’s engine for unusual pulsations caused by things such as engine knock. If a sensor is damaged or malfunctioning, the engine may run poorly, inefficiently, or only in a low speed safe mode, and may also trigger diagnostic codes. This video shows you how to install a new knock sensor in your 2006-2012 Honda Civic.
This process should be similar on the following vehicles:
    2006 Honda Civic
    2007 Honda Civic
    2008 Honda Civic
    2009 Honda Civic
    2010 Honda Civic

The knock sensor has been keeping the engine light on in my car for over 8 years now. Finally had enough and decided to fix things.
I am so MAD that Honda decided to hide this stupid little sensor so deep into the engine. Can’t believe I have to disassemble so many things to get to it. But I thank you for making such a thorough how-to, it is very helpful.

You can't go from underneath? This seems ridiculous for a $40 sensor

Or just remove the starter, it's two bolts! Also, maybe mention you're replacing an after market sensor, the OEM looks much different. Work smarter not harder, why risk the average home mechanic causing some vacuum problems but to each their own.

So go from the bottom to get it right?

I'm going to guess that Mike K has not removed the starter on this particular vehicle.

You do realize the knock sensor is on the back of the engine, under the intake manifold? The stater is located on the opposite side of the engine. Also, unless you order one straight from Japan, and pay $40 + on shipping, you're going to use an aftermarket sensor. They are up to OEM specs.
