What can I say that hasn't been said before as always she killed it nock it out of the park. Looked like the singer was impressed with her playing also or in shock at how good she is.

No rehearsal, no soundcheck. YOYOKA really does play with that power. Her right foot underpins so well but is fast too. Watch other vids for the ease with which she plays Bonham triples. At 6 years old dhe was teaching you how to play them.

The Hokkaido hammer strikes again! What a great life choice for her and her family to make! She is getting a resume of playing live venues with so many different styles, sounds and performers! She will always be in high demand. One of the greatest ever.... and she's only 13.....Incredible... And kudos to the rest of the group. She inspires everyone she plays with. :)

RUclips deleted my previous comment. Probably because it started with "ki" and ended with "lling it."
Has this club developed in her homebase, and any old fart cover band count themselves lucky to get her behind them (we've always dreamt of such a hard hitting beast), only to totally ignore her precise drumming (that's why those guys never have gotten past cover band status with their wishy-washy guitar strumming)?

I'd sure like see some other young musicians playing with Yoyoka, instead of all these old white guys. (I'm not saying they're bad. I'm an old white guy myself.)
She does when she can. She actually prefers to play with people her own age. But the logistics are kind of tricky, I suppose. I mean, the kid is only 14 and she has the full backing of her parents who moved her all the way over from Japan to pursue a music career in the states. Other kids might not have that same flexibility unless they're already in a band. And then some of her musical counterparts live out of state and out of the country. But go look on her page, you'll find several videos of her playing with age equivalent peers. Not many, but there are some. She's played and recorded with Lisa-X and Ellen Alaverdyan on several occasions. Tom Morello's kids. A few other kids from Japan and her old performing arts buddies from Oakland when she lived up there. I think she would jam with other kids more if they were able to link up.
Unfortunately there are not many at her pro level. She will happily play with any one regardless of age. Also there are not many parents willing to go to the extents the Somas go to support her journey. She has stated that many Friday evenings she goes to Tom Morello’s house to jam with his son. Hopefully there will be some “kid” sessions from that.
