There is this guy who sounds like Elvis, ofc originally doesn't sing like that alot. His name gene Vincent. In his song bop-a-lula he sounds exactly like Elvis, but Elvis never sang the same song. Instead of gene vincents song i believe elvis rewrote it because copyrights and it became rock a hula. Dont quote me on it though.( When gene Vincent was on the radio once Glady thought it was Elvis. Which is wild for someone to sound so close to elvis)
I tuned in to this on a whim and right out of the gate you make a stellar observation about Elvis' unique style/approach in the reference to the strong/weak style. I need to watch the rest now. Thankyaverymuch!😊
Good stuff man. Subscribed and plan to watch other vids. I have a similar voice as you but have never sang and struggle with vibrato and controlling it.
@@neal9467 No one can sing exactly like Elvis other than Elvis himself… How about you teach me your way of singing like him and I teach you how to type/write in english
Presley. Had a full range of vocals. Not a silly deep voice. But. I listen to his recording and there is definatly some tweeking going on in the recording mix. Im very very curious what was done to the recording to get his signiture sound ?? . Not trying to take anything away from him. He was brilliant When im singing sometimes i sound brilliant sometimes very average. ????
Those are some great observations. Definitely had a full range of vocals, and I think that the “silliness” comes from that vibrato and strong, weak sound. These days it’s almost cliché, but when he was singing it, everybody was doing that, at least the crooners. He definitely had the best recording engineers, equipment, everything at his disposal, so the recording mix was really geared towards getting the best sound (obviously).
Thank you for your video 🙂 I'm curious and I learn about voice on my own without a teacher. Please be kind for my question. 1.) What is the reason of this razor'like timbre ? 2.) His volume is low and soft to a microphone. I'm confused now. I was thinking that proper singing is loud and filling a room ?
Hi! Thanks so much for watching. When singing with a microphone, it is possible to sing much softer and have people hear you… if you were singing in a large room without a microphone, one would need to project more in order to be heard, of course. The overall concept of the singing technique is the same, you just vary the intensities, which can affect the volume of the singing.
The way i learn Vibrato is to Learn singing during Full-Time Job and just don't care what my Colleague think. I mean after 3 Year's it's happening automatically.
This was a very informative video Josh, thank you! I have some Elvis covers I've done on my channel if anyone's interested, I would appreciate any feedback, positive or negative.
Hi Josh, I recently moved to Arvada, CO and am looking for some paid jobs where I can use my voice. I currently sing in my church's choir. Your video on "Oh Holy Night" helped as I sang it for Xmas. Appreciate any suggestions you might have-Andrew
I have a very deep voice and I’m tying to get my voice down like Elvis but I’m having trouble on the really high notes my voice trys to break up when I do any other tips

I randomly subscribed, I dont even wanna sing, just Elvis maybe, in any case I think this is a great teaching for a short video! Bravo.
Thanks for the sub!
Personne ne peut chanter comme Elvis
Your voice is a little higher pitched (no offense) like mine. how do you lower you’re voice without it sounding bad??
It’s all about the falsetto/head Voice coordination when you are trying to add more “lower” sound to your voice.

Nobody can sing like Elvis
I just want to know how he does the crack thing that he does..... like in "don't be cruel"
Oh, great question. I’ll make a video about that!

Please make a Tom Jones tutorial 🙏
Oh man! You got it!!
Its hopeless. My vocal chords are too damaged. Any tips on how to repair vocal chords?
Hey, I’m so sorry to hear about that. I suggest going to an ENT doctor to be assessed.

Try working the falsetto… eventually it will make it easier to access the high notes. You got this!
A. Matter of time pls
You got this!
I learnt to Sing 🎤 a Long Time ago and People would tell me that there was a Truck Driver in Memphis who sounded like ME ! WHO knew?
Love it!
Does anybody agree or or if you lowered his voice it would more sound like Elvis
You might not believe, but i actually have the same voice as elvis
I believe
Not remotely close
Thanks for watching!
Sorry, you don't sound like Elvis at all.
Thanks for watching
The title is "how to sing like Elvis" not "how to sound like Elvis".
Think about this for a few minutes and the you will see what the difference is.
@@jasond869 Exactly, well said!

Dont be rude.
Elvis sounded like OTIS BLACKWELL and ROY HAMILTON. Let's g to the real SOURCE, respectfully. Don't "copy" Elvis, be "original"
Thank you for watching! I’ll do some more research 🔬
