I wish I had figured all this out about relationships in my early 20s, it would have saved me a lot of heartache. It wasn’t till my late 20s when I had my first healthy relationship and now it’s been almost 10 years. We have the best relationship and we also still have our own lives! I am only 5 mins in and agree 200% that doing your own thing is normal and toxic is if you can't do anything without the other. If your relationship is not being able to do your own thing then you shouldn't be together as there are trust issues. I love your relationship with Braxton it is exactly how I like mine to be. You have your time together, your time together with friends and family and then your own time apart. Totally healthy and normal.

as someone who is struggling with this right now, it sucks. my best friend has been in a relationship for a while & her & i live together. BUT just because we live together does not mean our relationship is strong by any means cause it’s not. she’s constantly with her partner, her partner is always over at our house. there is never a time where her & i get to hang out, just her & i & this is what i’m struggling with. it’s to the point. that i feel like if i didn’t live with her, i wouldn’t hear from her. it sucks!i need to communicate to her how i’m feeling, but i don’t articulate my feelings very well AND i know she’ll immediately become defensive!
