Wonderful expose on Francis. I bought some Cerdanyola-A x Francis seeds from you a few years ago and they are all doing well with a few growing particularly fast

Great to know, thanks for the information! I've never put mine to the test because it never freezes where I live!

Here in Texas we had a cold one. It made my Francis hard as a rock and nice blue/grey dusty look.

Hello, nice to meet you, I recently discovered this channel and it has interested me a lot, since I have been collecting cacti and others for many years, but it was just this year when I got my first San Pedro from a cutting and when looking for information I discovered you , and I was amazed that he also grows in Spain, like me in Costa del Sol. Sorry for the text, but my question is, is it still a good time to germinate seeds or better to mature the already germinated ones? I also have a led grow room. Thanks a lot.

My: Francis/pac1 x Francis Pac2, Francis x Cerdanyola and Cerdanyola x Francis are coming into their 3rd year. It's awesome to get some background and great to know that it is the preferred ceremonial plant for your customer. That kind of info can be hard to find. Looking forward to seeing the Cerdanyola history and reputation because I have Credanyola x Costas too.

Hi Jerry, a few months ago, I accidently mixed up the ratio of peroxide:water and turned out around 4%.. (aimed for 2%) prayed that on top of all seedlings.. as you can imagine all of them have burning marks.. a part died to mold growing on the rotting skin or just rotted away by bacteria. A well, I hope some will survive...

Sorry to hear that, Tim. I have used the 3% solution neat on seedlings and none were damaged, but now that they only sell 6% solution at the local pharmacy I'll be sure to dilute it!

what is the best way to keep San Pedro's during winter? I live in Colorado and do not have a space with enough sun light during winter months. Can I keep them in the basement around 58 F with minimum sun light to avoid thin grow? Thank you very much

You can keep them in complete darkness and dry during winter. Try to keep it above freezing.
