I don't have insurance in the states. I used all my PUA unemployment money to have 4 crowns, a root canal, 15 fillings, 4 wisdom teeth out, extra x rays, a full dental mouth scaling, and I even got a special made night guard in California. For me if I may be so selfishly indulgent on my very little feelings the acceptance of the treatment came down to a realization that my mouth was not just totally fucked, it was a ticking time bomb that could result in infections, extractions, oral surgery, cancer, and eventually having all my teeth extracted and being fitted with dentures. I had the money, I knew exactly what I was doing with it, and I went insane to the tune of around 12k lol. The alternative is where they put four bolts in your upper and lower jaw and screw in fake teeth. Oh lord I wish I would have brushed more when I was younger.

Very interesting. Good tips. Do you have a video on getting patients who are overdue to schedule?

You can do send the pre determination and call the patient in two weeks to see what happened with pre determination. If insurance accepts, make an appointment. If not, bring them for another consultation to talk about the importance of getting the treatment done and consequences of not getting it done. At this appointment, present the payment options. If patient really understands the importance and to do the treatment, they will accept it and make an appointment. If not, you cannot do anything.
