I miss seeing the watertower at the park, it made it feel like it was a film studios. I also miss the animation section where you tour the animation department of how they create the film's we all know and love.

Runaway railway is trash should of been at magic kingdom the great movie ride was top 5 best rides in disney world at the time i still miss it😢

I just went yesterday and still refer to it as MGM. Even though my roommate works there😂
One of our favorite memories is going on the Backlot Tour while Lights, Motor, Action was going on - one of the stunt performers waved at us from beside the grandstand before he drove out and I got a pic of him.

Definitely honey I shrunk the kids me and my dad would be there all the time sometimes like 4 to 5 hours just in the park. It was crazy. I’m sad that they got rid of it but Star Wars galaxies edge is probably my favorite in all the parks anyway. 😢😢😢
I remember playing there too when I was around 4-5 yrs old. I still have pictures when you were able to sit on the ants. I had good memories there. Great times.

Used to ride the backlot tour at least three time every trip. I love the new Hollywood studios tho. With TSL and Galaxy Edge. Such a fun park

I agree with this list. The park is unrecognizable from what it was when I first started going there. The parades were the best because they had the absolute BEST ride vehicles! I couldn't get enough of either the Back Lot Tour or the Great Movie Ride. As much fun as Hollywood Studios is, I really miss the old one.

Omg the honey I shrunk the kids play area was my FAVORITE we would play there while waiting for the car show to start and I made so many friends there and we would pretend we were in the movie those were the good ol days

I know the attractions are still there, but I miss the decorative touches that made Grand Avenue feel muppety. The paintings, the MuppetVision 3-D sign, even the original name "Muppet Courtyard". I've never actually been to any of the Disney Parks, but I still miss 'em.
Yess and another thing I miss is the animation place that was by the little mermaid show where it had all the things where you could learn how to draw Disney characters, I don’t remember the name of it but it was so cool! Also the Indiana Jones stunt show and the honey I shrunk the kids playground, I loved that thing so muchh
Aww, I miss all of those. I grew up with the great movie ride, and it was always my favorite. I remember my parents going to get food while me and my brother would play in the honey I shrunk the kids play area. The back lot tour was so fun and I remember when my aunt and uncle were chosen to be part of the first scene. And the car show was just… *chefs kiss*

The Great Movie Ride was one of my all time favorite rides. I was crushed! Still would rather have that one but I'm also getting old. Lol

I think I miss the huge model of the blue sorcerer hat that used to be in front of the Chinese Theater there. I remember seeing it in person when I visited Disney’s Hollywood Studios way back when I was little, but now it makes me sad not seeing it in any videos of the park from nowadays.

I am so crushed because this was amazing. I actually went on the great movie ride before they turned into Mickey and Minnie runaway railway. I love the wicked witch animatronic, but when I was small, I thought it was actual human😂😂😂😂😢😭

I experienced all of those when i went to disney when i was younger. Now i dont remember when they got rid of all of those but i def remember the tour and the honey i shrunk the kids playground. I’ve been going to disney world since i was really little and me and my family are going back there in January, my last trip i took was 2019 and i always look forward to going but i still miss all the older attractions that used to be there

I remember seeing the play area on the Disney Channel as a kid. When I finally got to go at 15 years old, I had to play in it. My family was confused, but it was the one thing I wanted to do, lol.

Broooooo I miss the Great Movie Ride so much! It used to be one of my favorite rides at Hollywood studios. Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway is very different, but fortunately it's still fun.
When my kids were little, we would always go to Honey I shrunk the kids at the end of the day and they would spend hours there, playing and running around. And they were always “Power Rangers” around that area for photo opportunities!! The good old days.❤

All of these are so nostalgic 🥰 I miss old mgm even though I love galaxies edge considering my favorite character Armitage Hux has an animatronic and considering that he gets nothing, it makes me all happy❤

Mickeys sorcerer hat. I know people hated it for blocking the theater but then when they tore down the hat they put up a stage and a bunch of other crap still blocking the theater. Lol
I went to Disney’s Hollywood Studios in 2016. At the time I was 2 and a half years old so I don’t remember, I went on the Great Movie Ride. It just happened that I went to Hollywood Studios EXACTLY ONE DAY AFTER THEY REMOVED THE WATER TOWER (earful tower) so I didn’t get to see it. And I had gone a year after the hat got removed.
I miss all of them, but love all of the upgrades to the park.
Lights Motors Action and Moteurs Action were the best attractions to ever grace a Disney park with their presence

My parents met working at the Great Movie Ride so I have lots of GMR memorabilia all over the house
All of those and maybe the muppets walk around characters with the Coca Cola misting in front of backlot tour entrance. Can't forget the Osborne lights and great muppet store
The people of Hollywood that roamed around the city area near the front of the park. They where great! Sad they have not come back.
One time I got lost when I was little in the honey I shrunk the kids and it’s funny because in the movie they are lost🥹

I miss the great movie ride, lights motors action, backlot tour, mickey’s water tower, the giant sorcerer Mickey hat, and that giant wall that was a painted hill in San Francisco. Oh, I also got to see Power Rangers one time at Disney. So cool. I miss it all so much. 😭 I remember for the backlot tour, they made a mini movie with a few volunteers and when I’m the que after that, you could see actual things used in movies like that little shed used in the Hannah Montana movie.

What I miss is whenever you would go down that area in Hollywood Studios, where toy story mania used to be, and it would be crowded
man backlot tour, great movie ride and lights motors action were some of my favorite go to attractions at hollywood studios... the only reasons i ever went other than rock n roller coaster

I went to WDW in February 2022 & they had a Pixar parade in Hollywood Studios!
The first 2 were awesome! I miss those.
When did parades stop I remember going to the parades it was fun I would just walk around and then randomly Mickey and Pluto would appear and then a parade would start
The real live working animation studio where they made actual Disney animated movies. As a kid I dreamed of working there one day. Alas it wasn’t to be.

I remember riding Catastrophe Canyon last time I was at Hollywood studios in 2011 11 years ago.
The new stuff just isn’t for me, the old stuff I feel was much more spectacular and impressive.
I have a funny story about the great movie ride. The ride broke down when we were in the alien segment of the ride, but we all thought it was part of the ride since it’s, Y’know, alien.
I only got to go to Disney World once back in 2013 and I loved that car show that was so dope and then of course the movie the Hollywood ride that was cool

Man, I Really Miss the True Disney-MGM Studios Theme Park
I miss the big old Mickey’s wizard hat they used to have over one of the old stage areas. That was back in like 2009.
I swear to god when i was 5 or 6 i got a ride on a golf cart backstage at mgm studios to transport me to the medical station so i could do my treatment (i have cystic fibrosis and needed to do 3 breathing treatments per day at that time). On the way i got up close to the water tower and saw some set pieces from the haunted mansion movie as well as a herbie vehicle cut down the middle with a plastic sheild covering the open side. I remember this vividly but my mother says it never happened despite the fact i remember the cast members name, Randy, who told me the area we were in was an extra lot for props that were soon going to be shown in the backlot tour.
The lack of parades at MGM was the biggest shock during my recent visit.
To this day they haven’t made a ride that has filled the crater the great movie ride left behind in my heart.
