Awesome captures! May I feature the Asiana A350 landing in one of my next episodes? Of course with a link back to your original video. All the best to you!
It’s usually done to cool the brakes. Sometimes the brakes get really hot from a lot of taxiway stop and go. It could’ve been a particularly hard stop from the prior landing that just hasn’t had enough time to cool down before being warmed up again on the maneuver to the runway lots of reasons for it, but it’s perfectly safe.
@2:00. The windsock shows it's not much crosswind. I landed a B737 at night in a gusty 90-degree crosswind in EWR. Maximum gusts at our airline's limits.
Awesome video. The SWA divert at the end was a reminder that sitting in the cockpit and flying these machines comes with great responsibility.
Amazing videos ✈️🛩...thank you Sal 😊
This is an awesome vantage point for reverse ops. Bonus with go around. Great stream, Sal!
Man, they were just parachuting down in that wind. The 47 forgot the gear???

What ended up happening with the Lufthansa 747 gear down situation?
They ended up re tracking them out of camera view and continued to FRA
Thank you Sal for sharing 🎉❤
