Doesn't make sense when you think about where they were, near the Lincoln Memorial which is just south of George Washington U hospital ("GW"). They'd be going in that direction anyways to get back to the WH, either by Constitution Ave NW or E St. NW.
I’ve seen some people say it doesn’t look believable, are they kidding me? The Presidential limousines are completely bulletproof, they can probably even withstand an RPG attack and have steel mesh-reinforced / reinflatable tires, but they’d keep those kinds of capabilities classified. When the President travels abroad, one is flown ahead, along with Secret Service support vehicles, on a C-5 Galaxy. There are probably a dozen Secret Service drivers, if not more, trained to execute this exact maneuver in a split-second.
It's true. I actually saw video once of them doing it with a real secret service limo. A lot about the presidents car is classified but that part is apparently fairly open. I think they like showing off lol.
@@Elthenar It's not whether it's possible, but whether it actually is true here. It isn't, because it's a splice-together, so we don't get to see what the limo can actually do. It's teasey.
@@heddalee It's TV, every shot is normally composed of multiple cuts, often of different things. Some movies will often interject a cut from a reshoot that was done months later. Honestly, I don't care. On a side note, I went looking for that clip of the Beast doing a handbrake 180. Instead I found a documentary that went into a lot more detail than I thought was available. The limo is actually build on a heavy truck frame to carry the weight and the armor is 8 inches thick. That thing might well be tougher than a Bradley APC
I thought it was George Washington (hospital) the closets to WhiteHouse and Blue is medical emergency. When the guy says they're going to memorial - Sibley Memorial Hospital
@@abzzeus yeah, seems like Memorial is the destination where they're transporting out the nonessential patients to secure the place. So I agree that GW probably means the hospital - and they'd probably say GSW for the injury anyway.
I love this episode. I love watching a bunch of people work together and do something amazing
That limo doing a U on the road always gets me...
it was actually done on an airport runway

A beauty
Me too
@@acer3573Not if they had past 23rd street which right over the bridge. They would have to uturn to get back.
That's an "Oh F!" moment if there ever is one.
You can hear the woman at 2:07 mouthing "oh shit"

And they are sealed to prevent biological or chemical attack
It doesn't look believable because it's two separate filmings spliced together, and it shows.

this is from when Reagan got shot. The SS guy had to do this for real when he saw the president do this exact thing.
Her mouth at 2:07: "Oh Sh*t!"
Then she really sold it when she got on the intercom. You could hear a bit of panic creeping into her voice.
1:12 GW! BLUE! BLUE! BLUE!
Its GW! Move! Move! Move! Its the nurse that says Blue!
@@Bodybuilder1945 No, it's BLUE! BLUE! BLUE!
don't do that. You are going to make me panic and run everywhere 😨
My favorite two episodes of the show
Great scene. The car scene is based on Reagan was shot
They should have shown the whole motorcade doing a u that would've been something
that is what they are trained for
"...get some light out there." As if they wouldn't have already dealt with that during the planning and drills!
ho shit man
"GW BLUE! BLUE!"
Gunshot wound, blue forces (Friendly forces AKA the president.)

Who is here after Trump news
What a wild world huh?
Done that with Reagan
The nurse annoys me- not listening and just blabbing. I know for drama but ugh
