The shimmering interlaced look has its own charm. I've heard it said the defects in old media are what we become most nostalgic for. We forget that scanlines and shadow masks are artefacts of an imperfect technology, not stylistic choices, and yet we strive to recreate them faithfully. I do love the CRT look though, even the shimmer. Playing an old game and it looking authentic to the era is like time travel
As someone who uses component>OSSC for my PS2, this doesn't seem all that different. Perhaps the stream compression is to blame? Either way, I want this. If only to get rid of analog connections in my setup and gain access to more deinterlacing options.
Was watching the Klonoa part, and you have to try PMAP for laser calibration if you haven't. I just started messing with it tonight on some PS2s I have and my new lasers are working better than ever. Still though, my KHS-400C lasers aren't quite as fast on older models as they are on my 5000x systems, but it definitely allows for calibration that far exceeds what can be done manually.

Nicely worded, I can relate 👍

We forget the gbs-c had lagless motion adaptive deinterlacing first 😅 you guys premiered it live!
Missed the stream. As always love your enthusiasm guys :)
Love the detail you guys put into this stream, another great live hardware demonstration.
3:12:39 ... the sarcasm is real 😂 ✌️

Exactly.. I sold my CRT, older consoles and cables. I want to dump everything analog. This is a great option
It'd be so sweet if Konami releases a complete Gradius collection 😊😊😊
True, unfortunately Konami only thinks of MGS these days.

Your CMOS-Battery is empty and the time not set. ;)
1:08:00 Get an SD2PSX! ;)
Can you guys play PS1 PS2 PS3 Games on PS3 Hardware on the RT4K through HDMI? That'd be awesome
You should use component and disable 480p in the system settings. This disables the bad ps3 deinterlacing for ps2 games at least.
1:43:30 You don't know of Widescreen cheats yet?? 👀
Open world games are too erratic.. They become headache inducing after awhile... Is it just me?
Don’t have the guy on the bottom screen on ANYMORE!!😡😡
