Miss Maddy, Thank you for sharing your Stage 1& 2 race. Stage 2 looked like a butt kicker. Fantastic effort even with the flat. Killer motivation. Please keep up the killer work.
What a race Maddy, especially on day 2. The speed on the downhill sections looked insane 🫣 Shame about the flat, but still a decent finish. Remember never give up, you always have a chance🏅 And now we are waiting with bated breath to know what happened next………….
Maddy - you really captured the speed of these events - wow, gravel bikes are amazing bits of kit! Are you using a different camera, that was so sharp and stable - great work.
Your pacing for the climb was spot on. Any harder lower down, and you would have been off and running on the rocky section. Don't be too hard on yourself
Holy hell climb Maddy wow!!! You weren't joking on that steep technical section. Still early in the year, so you have plenty of time to work on your race fitness. Rough luck on the tire issue yikes. Incredible event and great recap of it too Maddy. You are stronger in the single track than most of the other ladies IMO. I didn't like the ending bit???? A bloody Maddy Nutt is not making me smile. I can't wait to see what you do this year Maddy whooo hooo!!! You were holding on with some very strong women.
AHaha I do think a lot of riders walked it. It was a little bit insane!! Ending bit will be explained in Part 2...! Hoping this slight setback doesn't hold me from building fitness towards key races where I want to perform!
@@maddynutt Ah, I understand. I’m not a race nutritionist, but it seems like there needs to be a balance for all the carbs, possibly more protein? Maybe we’ll see the return of rice and yogurt?
@@petesjk typically around racing you really stick to only carbs and then a little bit of protein in evening meal. If people do stage racing they have like a fresh juice right after the race so they can get the vitamins etc from veggies, but on the whole you’re basically just eating rice for days! (Oats also have too much fibre). It feels weird because it’s not balanced, but I try and really veg up before and after I carb load!

Another awesome video, not only really captures the essence of the rides, but also the whole lifestyle. Good effort. . So fast! Boom 💥💪🦵🔥🚴
It’s a pretty random but fun lifestyle 🤣🥳
Best race roomie ever!!! 🔥🔥
Right back at you !!!
My God that looks treacherous. You’ve got some special stuff going on Maddy.
Wonderful video, thanks for posting!
A great watch! Well done apart from puncture!
Sorry I’ve missed your latest videos. Although now I can binge watch after this morning’s ride.
Great footage and great video!!
Thank you!!
What a great VLOG Maddy. Also great to see so many ladies racing so well. Chapeau to you all.
Super high level of racing for sure!
What a rollercoaster Maddy! Hope you're healing up fast
Cheers!! :)
Great film, thanks. That S1 climb is brutal, but those trails look excellent.
Brutal is definitely the correct word!
Great video Maddy that gives people an idea of just how fast you guys ride and how much concentration is needed, just to stay upright!

I definitely have learnt never to give up…part 2 hopefully won’t be too long til the upload …!
Nice effort on the single track!
Wow excellent footage on a tricky and technical course unlucky with the puncture😢
thank you!!

Super speedy aha! Same camera, think I’ve just worked out my picture quality better on iMovie ahah
Ah, such a lovely ride and you're off with an injured elbow 🥺...Good recovery 👍
Thank you!!
seeing that climbing at 5.00 makes me thinking back about the Worlds in Italy with all those ridiculous inclines :) #sufferfest
Absolutely insane gradients like Italy ahah
The race looks really cool. Would you think about running the foam insert inside your tyres.
I was running foam inserts! Just didn’t quite stop me from puncturing sadly

@@maddynuttgood training for Nannup😅
amazing you are so lucky in europe there are so many gravel races! Here in Australia we have 4-5. you should do UCI seven gravel race. Near Perth :-)
I would love to! I think maybe next year :)
2025👍
Great footage Maddy. How much of this is in the Traka? and are you doing it again this year?
I don’t think any of it!! Maybe a tiny section. And yes :)
What's your recording strategy/what are your settings? I feel like I can only get about an hour max out of mine at 1080p
I only record short snippets so can record at 4k. Just keep pressing on and off throughout the race.

Speaking of Unbound, what’re the chances the Ribble crew makes the trip to good ole Kansas this year?!🎉
Might be on my calendar 👀
What tyres do you use ? Are they Panaracer gravelkings ??
Yh gravelking SK
@@maddynutt do you find them draggy on tarmac ?
@@Miner0150 they are super speedy on tarmac!
@@maddynutt oh ok 👍 I’ve
Got the sk+ tyre and find it really draggy must be the thicker side wall have you tried the sk+

I like rice, and all the work to season it. But where are all the vegetables?
limit veggies around racing to limit fibre!

@@maddynutt Possibly use a juicer to get fruits and vegetables?
@@petesjk yeah that’s the way to do it :) decrease the fibre ahah
Omg how does your wheel not slip climbing that steep?
A very good question. You just shove your weight forwards and push as many watts as you’ve got left
@@maddynutt oh is that all lol
Super impressive. I need more practice to do that.
-2 for no Swany cam. + 2 for kicking butt. +1 for ambulance ride. +3 for Charlie

What are all these cyclists doing on your Food Channel? 🍝😁
hahahha a high bikes to food ratio in this video
I've passed other riders more aggressively in my morning commute than those guys passing you from the right.
Hahahaha. I’ll take that as a compliment to the speed I was going 😂
@@maddynutt I'm sure you girls and guys we trucking along full speed.
