    This is the basic side escape position we have been practicing at the beginning of each class for the last 20 years. What I found here is the belt grab and roll from the right side instead of over the back on the left. I'm going to work on that reversal. Very nice, Thank you!

    This is a game changing move. How many people you go up aginst are going for guard retension from side mount. Almost all I bet. If Rickson thinks its smarter roll out and come on top, its all I need to know.

    I had the good fortune to train at Rickson’s place on Pico. The concepts I learned then I still use today, 25+ years later. My only regret is not realizing at the time how lucky I was to be having that experience. Thank you, Rickson (and Mauricio, Louis & Arthur)
