@CarolAnnDPTT Yes, I corrected your text for clarity and grammatical accuracy. Here it is again for reference: I am very grateful to you. Yes, you are absolutely right, but there is a reality behind this that I want to share with you. Honestly, a day before, I bought this tjanting tool and tried it for the first time ever on a piece of silk. I was surprised that I could do it and amazingly, I did it. At that moment, I realized the greatest truth: I am blessed, and the talent which Allah gave me is my beautiful gift from Him. The next day, I set my mobile on a stand, started using this tool, and made my video. I know we need lots of practice and retakes during video making if we are starting from zero practice. But fortunately, I completed all the painting. All thanks to Allah for all I have. By the way, welcome to you from Pakistan.
@@casslikesfood3858 Peace be upon you. Thank you for the beautiful response. Can I add caustic soda only because I did not know the second substance, sodium hydrosulfate? Does it have a name other than this name? Can I add salt to the dye or can I dispense with salt and just use soda? Thank you.
Peace be upon you, my question to you is: Can I add only caustic soda to the dye and dispense with the second substance? Why is the wax, when placed on colored fabric, its color exactly like the color of the fabric? Please reply.
Yes, you can use caustic soda (sodium hydroxide) with certain dyes, especially fiber-reactive and vat dyes: Fiber-Reactive Dyes: Used for fabrics like cotton and silk, fiber-reactive dyes form a strong bond with the fiber. Adding caustic soda helps change the pH, making the fiber more receptive to the dye, which improves the color’s strength and durability. Vat Dyes: Vat dyes, like indigo, need to be made soluble before dyeing. Caustic soda helps dissolve the dye so it can bind to the fabric during the dyeing process, producing a stable, intense color. Regarding wax: When wax is applied to colored fabric, it acts as a resist. This means it protects the fabric's original color underneath by preventing further dye from penetrating, keeping it exactly as it is.
Do you know if there's a way to use non-petroleum wax and materials for batik, as petroleum is not environmentally friendly. I'm curious if this technique also works for 100% cotton fabric. Thankyou for showing the beauty of batik. I'm proud that this is part of my heritage. Love from Malaysia.
You can use soy wax for batik, which is made with soyabeans, and it's a non petroleum wax. Yes, you can do the batik on silk and cotton, too. I am happy to know that you are from Malaysia. Thank you so much for your love ❤️

Hello, sir! Thanks a lot for your videos! I have a couple questions: can we recycle wax? And do you wear protection? If so, what do you wear? Thanks again!
You're welcome. No, you can not reuse wax because after painting the fabric, you must iron it with the layers of newsprint sheets, and those sheets will absorb all the wax. 2nd yes you can wear the gloves if you feel you can not handle the hot wax.
