The EU make it very clear, Leia had the exact same potential as Luke it’s just a matter of priorities. For the majority of his adult life Luke was solely focused on being a Jedi. Leia was focused on being Chief of State, A Wife, a Mother and a Jedi. Luke also had a head start of course he was always going to be more powerful but Leia is no slouch!
Here's the thing though, Leia never uses the force or knew anything about it aside from what Luke may have told her about it and it's still mind boggling that she somehow ends up using it during the sequels , yet at the same time disney contradicts itself when Ahsoka even mentions that Grogu would eventually lose his force powers over time when he doesn't use them. He was a youngling and Leia was a grown adult who hadn't used the force prior. Not to mention even if she did knew and trained why didn't she try using the force and abilities prior to the sequels ? Like wtf, she could have aided Luke in her own son's training and could have won the war AGES ago even before kylo or Snoke showed up lol. This is just dumb.
They showed her being trained shortly after return of the jedi. I think she'd be like luke. If she didnt use it in the sequals i think id be let down. Girls a skywalker and never tried to space wizard?

I actually always thought this, considering out of the 2 Leia shares more in common with Anakin than Luke does. Shes a leader, a go getter, doesn’t really care what others think of her, and out of the two kids was more easily attached to others. However that being said, she carried alot of Anakin’s negative traits aswell, such as being driven by her emotions, and general arrogance. She had the potential to be even more powerful than Luke, but between the two, she almost certainly would have turned to the darkside, as we see multiple instances of her being unable to control her emotions, leading to outbursts.
I think given her homeworld being obliterated by her bio father and she fought against a genocidal empire, they were not outburst or lack of control. That’s called processing grief. Luke had far less trauma in his life so he was able to have a relatively healthy childhood it’s even best to say that both of the twins they would have been equally able to use their emotions to their advantage than control. The OG Jedi failed and would fall to darkness because you can’t control your emotions instead you must understand them and work with them. That understanding would allow a better grasp of your emotions thus they won’t runaway from you. Also she’s Padme’s child who had a great understanding of her emotions and was also a dignitary. I think Leia if she had chosen to be a Jedi, she would have been a sentinel. But I think the biggest reason she didn’t go there (apart from Lucas being a tad sexist) is because the Jedi indirectly led to both sets of her parents dying.
@@benjaminacuna8013 yeah i had respect for you opinion until you called Lucas sexist, it shows you do not understand this story at all. Furthermore Leia is prone to outbursts and arrogance. Ffs just watch the way she speaks to Han, or worse Chewbacca, Chewy did nothing to her and yet in intense situations she still had a tendency to yell at him for no real reason. When she’s speaking with Luke about their heritage she’s the one who breaks down and starts crying. There are multiple instances throughout the story of the OT that don’t involve her planet being blown up.
Luke and Lea has same midichlorian Count 25 000/23 000. The rest is knowledge. training and understanding of the force. She could became equal to Luke but not stronger.

Blade colours were an RPG mechanic to give the player a sense of agency when choosing an RPG class in a video game. It was never meant to explain the variety of colours in the broader universe.
Dude just stick to legends who gives a fuck what some Disney shmucks do honestly...Legends is still canon to any real fans who cares what wokes and suits think. @@Ceriu Legends is my favorite canon and I am thoroughly and proudly woke. Plenty of EU stories had all the same diversity the Disney era does. Leave politics out of it: Legends was better.
Luke shouldn’t be more or less powerful than Leia. They are twins and children of the jedi with the highest midiclorians ever. Of course both of them would be extremely powerful. Obi-Wan even says in Episode 6 that the emperor thought Anakin’s children would be a threat to him.
I think Leia would have essentially been a light side mirror image of Palpatine, in terms of abilities. Using the force in politics but for righteousness. Perhaps calming people down at opportune times and having them see reason. Also I think she’d be form 7. Perhaps vaapad if it’s possible for her to learn but not necessarily, maybe another form 7 variation.
the reason she didnt was becuase in her training she was constantly drawn towards the darkside due to her feelings towards vader, imperials, and various other tragedies that happened in her youth. She was scared that she would slip back into the darkside so she chose to stop training
I see her more of a form 2 or maybe 3. choosing to save her energy for negotiation. She would most likely be a lightside counterpart to Palpatine. Vader was likely the worst choice to be a true sith lord. He may have been able to use the force the strongest, but he hated politics, and hated most politicians. His organization skills is one of his greatest weaknesses.
i think Lea and Rey given their own pysical and mental capibilities are best sutited to the form 4 acorobatic style if only a singluar style is to be chosen. Body of them already pocess a very agile build and being able to think on the fly ontop of their already high intilect, make a form that focuses on forced enhanced movements, speed, and geral agility a dangerous prospect in their hands as much as it did a prime qui-gon and of course Yoda. Quickly ending fights with decissive movements before many can see what happened, even without the ened for bloodshed as their opponets are blindsided by their speed and quick wits before they have a chance to act accordingly.
I think she would have done well learning from Mace Windu. Her childhood knowledge from her “father” mixed with the ability to focus her aggression would have made her very powerful… nearly unstoppable in my opinion.
this is very awesome !!! thank you so much for posting this!! I think she would have had powers similar to anakin as well. i also think she would have used them for more better then good.
i think she will be very fit with vaapad. she is more like anakin then luke. luke is more like padme. i think his best power is in organizing battles Battle meditation . Force lightning and more. for the sake of the galaxy she refuse to train to become a master.
I remember reading a comic where Leia never pursued her Force training because the pull to the dark side became too strong for her, anyone know about this? Maybe it was a "What if" story
I mean it does make sense, she was raised as a dignitary and an individual plus after learning who her father was it makes sense she didn’t want to potential be a dark lady of the force
I'm sure we've all asked this question at one point or another, but I'll go ahead and ask it again anyway. What would have happened if Luke was raised by Bail Organa on Aldeeran and Leia was raised by Owen Lars on Tatooine? How different would the events of the Star Wars universe have played out?
As much as I would like form 5 to be her style, as it's my favourite, alongside form 3. I personally think form 6 or 7 would be Leia's style. Form 6, because I feel she would want a style that can balance her work as both a politician and Jedi. Or form 7, because of her dark side.... Probably similar to Mace Windu
I believe princess Leia would have embraced form five with form three.. I believe also that he had to pick only one it would have been form three and it would have suited her better.. This is the one reason why Obi-Wan was able to beat Anakin because form three allows for somebody to block all shots until someone opens up with a mistake.. And I think she would have been ever just as good as Obi-Wan Kenobi, if not better or more proficient..
Because she didn’t use the force consciously at that point. Luke wasn’t detected by Vader until he used the force consciously to blow up the death star.
Disagree here, she NEVER gets any serious training until VERY late by any Force User standards. She woulda ultimately become a low or mid Master at most probably. Or at least a strong knight. But she sure WASN'T about to become on the Order of Luke, Yoda or her father. That's just real world Disney BS an trying to make her a "Rey" before there was a Rey. She wasn't trained at birth or even at early 20s like Luke she was nearing her 40s or 50s even maybe. At least 30s when she started her training. Being exceptional with connectivity doesn't guarantee a super Force User.. her father proved that.
I don’t think she would have become more powerful than Luke but rather equal. Like come on, they are twins and the children of the chosen one. Anakin passed on his midiclorians to his children. Anakin’s midiclorians were higher than any other jedi; to think she would have become “low master” is absurd. The excuse of “she was old when she started training” doesn’t make sense because Luke started training when he was old too, even Yoda said it, but that didn’t stop Luke to unlock his potential. Anakin did had the potential to be the powerful. However, he wanted to have everything right away and didn’t have patience to train; that was Anakin’s problem.
@@lordoffaiyum9727 only because she didn’t train. In both old canon and new, she basically chose not to become as strong in the Force as she could have been.

I always find your videos to be entertaining, intelligently thought out and 'spiritually' insightful but I do NOT always agree with you and I did not do so here: I do not quibble with your facts but I do disagree with your opinion that Leia, did not actually make the right choice because I think it was actually the only correct decision to have Luke, the milder, play the role of Jedi. Leia is self-aware, proud, wonderful, fiery and beautiful and in this SHE is closer to Anakin 'the anointed one' than Luke is. Leia was raised a princess while Luke was just another nerf herder kid growing up in exactly the loving secure home Anakin had lacked. Qui Gon's insight (the first to see the deeper threat) was the very point you make here yourself. Later Obi Wan understood the Jedi's mistakes and his own with Anakin, that Qui Gon had earlier instinctively seen, being unclouded by dogma. Give the kid some love and like you say let him ventilate and learn to control these passions as we all must do! Luke has no expectations and so is more open to the moment. He is as Anakin SHOULD have been! Naturally humble and loving. Not trying to repress his negatives but as with a fountain of many colors, let them (the force) flow as it should NATURALLY! The reason I liked little Leia so much, is because the brave little girl already has that sense of entitlement as a 'Princess' that Hans Solo would later so lovingly and mockingly refer to in S.W. 'V'. Luke is just your regular guy but ala Tolkein, the best are not always 'the most powerful' because that strength is modified by the amount of concentration, awareness and focus which like a lens multiplies things which is why the arrogant fall the most often. Leia's aggression tempered her diplomacy. Luke's mellowness tempered his warrior spirit. He was less tempted and MORE forgiving, like Padme whose bravely gentle son he truly is!
The Jedi from the Prequels could have learned from Leia! Qui-Gon would have loved to train her! Dooku would have respected her. Palpatine wouldn't stand a chance politically or combat wise. Like Qui-Gon, she would refuse a seat on the Jedi Council. Force Abilities: mind trick, lightening, force speed. She would have contacts in Jedi Order: Yoda, Windu and Kenobi. With the traits of Padme and Anakin, Palpatine would have great difficulty taking her down. And she would be able to match wits with Mace Windu when it came to certain matters. In the Skywalker rankings, #3 Anakin, #2 Luke, #1 Leia.
If thats the case then why wasn't she trained instead of Luke?? In fact why weren't both of them trained?? It just seems that the Rebel Alliance would have been near next to unstoppable with two Skywalkers and other powerful Jedi like Ahshoka and Ezra. I mean the whole fact that the Rebels didn't begin a new Jedi order to aid in the fight against the Empire just doesn't seem very realistic to me. Yoda and Obi Wan could of had a dozen or so Jedi trained by half way through the Empires rule. Its very hard seeing the Rebels not using the Jedi more in the fight against the Empire. Look at what the Rebels did with just a handful of Jedi. They might have cut the Empires ruling time in half if Luke and Leia had been fully trained by the time they were 17 backed by a dozen more fully trained Jedi. Who knows maybe Vader would have returned back to the light side to become Anakin again. Idk
Make a What-If with Luke and Leia switching future. Make Luke an Organa and send Leia to Tattoine. What would the Star Wars Univers look like if this happened?
Boo clickbaity title. Star Wars didn’t “CONFIRM” anything, neither new canon nor old. This is fan theory, you didn’t even really cite a single source, be honest about it. Do better. Let people decide whether to watch the video based on what’s actually in the video.
This will sort of seem like I'm just going opposite of the video, but I sometimes wonder if Leia would have been willing to do some of these things? She might have had the potential to be one of the most prolific mental Jedi in history, able to use her power to see future circumstances, and steer events in the direction she'd prefer, but would she be willing to? I tend to see Leua as good, and capable, but she often resists tyranny, and even the best, most well-intentioned people can become such when they start deciding that they know better, and take away other people's choice, simply because they don't want to let those people make what they see as mistakes. Even if she thought she knew better, would Keia be comfortable forcing her opinions on others, especially via mental manipulation? There's something to be said about having your own beliefs, making a passionate, informed argument, and actually persuading other people to embrace your point of view, but it's a different experience when you basically deprive them of it by using powers, and either duping them, or forcing them, to take up your beliefs by force. That starts to smack of what Palpatine did; using his knowledge of the future, and shaping events to get what he wanted. We hold it against him, but not simply because he's evil; we do it because the illusion of choice, or of acceptance, are still just illusions. As for forms, I like to imagine she could embrace Makashi. In the role playing systems, it's attached to Charisma and Presence, which is Leia's primary attribute, allowing her to forsee, juggle, and steer the fight until the enemy majors a mistake, upon which she capitalizes. It's a form that starts expecting conflict; it can be defensive, but it isn't defensive by nature. It also uses a lot of thinking, strategy, and a certain amount of elegance; these are some of the reasons I feel Dooku gravitated to Makashi.
Just like anakin said we need someone wise to rule republic at picnic we need anakin father the wise one plagues is kang the conqueror plagues is wiser and he everywhere clone of plagues everywhere still alive he to wiser

not convinced at all leia's would be stronger with the force or as a duelist. still convinced anakin is the chosen one (bring balance, not to unbalance the plates to the light side) and that luke, with the same starting potential of her twin, was a fast learner and much more interested in the force and not biased on politics, like anakin an leia were. as you say leia grew on a familly with a lot of attachments, I think that's a very weak argument as luke did too (being poorer and in a less adavanced state of the art crib, it does tell nothing about the deepeness os attachments. plus, luke was far more humble and cocky than her sister, as seen in the movies and other canon material, which for my analysis standpoint luke had a clear edge over her sister. This theory lacks a lots os ground. it seems more a I wish approach than a factual an rational one.
I would love to see them do a series on Leia growing up and the years between all the movies of her life. Leia is not a Jedi Knight. There are Jedi of many kinds. She is a leader, defender, and politician. Words are her swords that cut sharper and deeper than any light saber can in your heart and soul. She knows if she were to become a Jedi knight she would turn over to the dark side. In many ways, she is the total opposite of the Emperor himself. Somehow Anakin is of the emperor's blood and Skywalkers too. This is why Rey was so powerful. Somehow she has both as well. She fights with tactics and ranged weapons. Leia can read people's minds, hearts, and souls. She knows their weakness and can use them against them. She can crush you with her mind alone. She needs no weapons. Only uses them as a last resort. Mistake that she is a woman and underestimate her and you will regret it. She is much like me. :P
Luke makes a far better Jedi than Leia. His inherent gentleness prevents him from going overboard when his temper flares up. He ironically takes after Obi-Wan quite a bit. Leia is the more aggressive of the twins, which works to her advantage when she's up against belligerent males in politics, but also makes her more prone to the Dark Side, especially in her moments of apathy. Luke was the one who insisted out of compassion that they keep trying to save Anakin when Leia didn't care to do so on Endor.
I mean, to be fair, he forced her to watch her homeworld blow up and extensively tortured the man she loved. If she had a harder time sensing the good in him, I wouldn’t necessarily say it’s because she was apathetic or less compassionate. Just clouded by her totally reasonable feelings.
From the video, it sounds more like Leia would be the light side version of Emperor Palpatine. More political than fighter/guardian but without shooting wamp rats in a T16, could she have flown the X-wing and destroy the 1st Death Star? Even with the fall of the Empire, she was not as political as this video makes her sound because she was not able to take control and recreate the Senate that she was a member of in A New Hope.

Thats total bs...i love Leia Like everbody else but shes no padme...shes defently no luke and for sure sie will never be close 2 annakin... and thats the bottom line
I don't think so and here's why. Once Luke was trained into Jedi ways he fully embraced the force and sought to become better. Not only that Luke was always looking for adventure and loved flying. He has the disposition to be a warrior almost seeking combat. He also has the will of his father to become the best. Mind you I don't like Luke's character very much however, I see him for what he is which is one of the best Jedi ever in Star Wars lore. Leia was trained in Jedi ways and she just didn't care and went back to leadership as a commander in the rebel alliance not taking direct combat action. Would she have been great YES, would she surpass Luke? Not a chance in hell!

How long have you hated women?

Her lightsaber design is beautiful

We already have that in yoda
I see her more of a form 2 or maybe 3. choosing to save her energy for negotiation. She would most likely be a lightside counterpart to Palpatine. Vader was likely the worst choice to be a true sith lord. He may have been able to use the force the strongest, but he hated politics, and hated most politicians. His organization skills is one of his greatest weaknesses.

How did Palpatine or Vader not notice her force sensitivity?
Same way Darth Plaguies couldn’t sense Palpatine’s force abilities
Rather sure Vader did. That was what made Luke go apeshit in him in RotJ
because plot twist, and also star wars signature lazy writing
Because she didn’t use the force consciously at that point. Luke wasn’t detected by Vader until he used the force consciously to blow up the death star.
Oh give me a break.
If Leia was on the dark side of the force she'll emulate her dad's first choke ability
I wish in a scene where Leila would been otherwise kidnapped she uses her forces abilities and pushes everyone away

She was emotional and therefore would have been in constant danger of slipping into darkness. \m/
I have no doubt she would've been a vastly superior Jedi than Luke just because she has so much more wisdom already and connections in the galaxy.
If it's Disney's reasoning, then this is automatic for this very reason; she's a woman. Wait. What is a woman again?
hmm I'm not sure form 5 is the right one for her but I'm not sure which one is
Star Wars didn't confirm anything, the title is (as usual) clickbait and this video is full of assumptions.
The most powerful force user. A birthing person.
Makes sense that she'd be more Mind and he'd be more Body.
Idk
Lmfao!!!!!!!! Of course

Read the legends material
