I live in a 2-story home, and I can look out a prominent window upstairs and see my neighbor's pool that is constantly neglected. It looks like this every winter ... and sometimes during the summer when they aren't maintaining it. I took care of it for them last summer when they went on vacation and I got the pH right after several days of hitting it with chemicals and watching the pool strips. I let my kids swim in it like the 3rd through the 10th day once everything was crystal clean and in-spec. It hasn't looked like that ever since. And yep, they have frogs, leaves, and algae. And they put it underneath a huge tree instead of putting it in the sun. Oh, and they just let anyone jump right in ... no spraying off, no shower ahead of time... it's just a free-for-all when they do use it.
I love how some of the most seemingly boring and useless tasks are so interesting and important. Makes you a little more grateful for the little things others do every day.

before you fill in the sand on the filtraionunit pull in some water (till the white construction inside of the tank at the bottom is under water)!!! expecaly on older filtertanks the filterfinger (white things on the ground) can break under the sand drops on them... if they break you have to put out all the sand again and put new once in, if possible... i do this for a living. greetings from germany.

XD, I watch this at 02.26 btw XD
That fact that this guy is able to do this without gloves is amazing
seems like a cool job. it's like one of those things the owner is like "there's no way to get this thing clean", but then it's like not that bad and will look 100x better that they dont mind the hefty price tag.
Damn, those frogs were living the life in that mat of hair algae
This reminds me of Spirited Away when Chihiro has to clean the Big Tub.
Maybe if they had NoFace around to give them a bath token they’d have been done faster.

Yup
That’s what I was thinking throughout the whole thing
Yess
Oh dear god I nearly forgotten about Spirited Away until you mentioned it-
0:17 i genuinely thought a group of kids would make a huge dirty cave under that pool until i had realise it was just the camera angle until the next shot
It's no wonder the pool is like this, who's using an outdoor pool in England 😭
Me :)
Haha
I’ve never been interested in cleaning something I can’t afford, this video changed that. Just asked my wife if we can get a house with a pool. She said only if I clean it. Jokes on her, this video taught me how.
Bro how much money u got to get a pool
@United Shame of America why wouldnt you ask your wife if you can buy a house with a pool? That seems like a pretty big life commitment that your partner should know about

Who knew watching a guy clean a pool could be turn out to be an interesting experience! Gotta thank RUclips algorithm for suggesting the right kinda weird videos
The noise of that shovel just bring nostalgia to me😅
Why...
@@cleve6482 I used my grandparents at their house in the backyard a lot and the shovel noises give me memories of being with them. We don’t do it as often though so it was a small glimpse of a nice memory for me.

me watching this while lunching and idk how to feel about it
Okay same though
Must have made you imagine eating algae leaves and frogs, yum.

thats why if i ever get a pool i will get an indoor pool, not outside. insects, leaves, dirt, its just a matter of time until the outside pool gets dirty. also inside you can regulate the temperature much better not just of the water but also of the air around you
You can also enclose it in a greenhouse.
It’s the same for a pond
Why getting an indoor pool when you have a bathtub?
@@tyionist can't swim in a bathtub my g
@@tyionist fitness and more fun at parties, also its great to teach your kids how to swim but i agree with you on some things because for some reason pools ain't that cool anymore.. with all the other entertainment thats available these days the pool became more and more neglected or superfluous
Sounds like fun! (And I don't mean that in the sarcastic sense.)

- Start at noon
- Dry the pool
- Water + ceramic cleaner (dunno how to call it in English)
- MOPING ALL THE WAY
- Pull some pranks
- Night come
- Just finished cleaning
- Didn't swim but all fun

before you fill in the sand on the filtraionunit pull in some water (till the white construction inside of the tank at the bottom is under water)!!! expecaly on older filtertanks the filterfinger (white things on the ground) can break under the sand drops on them...
if they break you have to put out all the sand again and put new once in, if possible...
i do this for a living. greetings from germany.
i really hope there weren't any spare frogs left over in the algae that they didn't find- the frogs were just too cute
Good job! And thank you for saving the frogie friends🐸, they were just tryin to live the best life too😁💚...
Much respect to this guy. Not an easy job from someone who isn't a fan of washing dishes.
