Another plus for Warsaw is the fantastic public transport system. Metro, trams, buses, you can get anywhere you need to go in the city within minutes. Not really sure how this compares with large American cities, but it’s way better than Melbourne and Sydney.

Another great thing is the amount of green areas, children playgrounds and in general children's activities. You won't find that in any other European countries. It's quite typical of ex-Soviet countries really: you will find the same in Moscow or in Kiev or Budapest. I think that is the great plus of Warsaw: it combines the best of Soviet countries with the best of Western countries, trying to avoid the excesses of both. Weather is what it is of course but still not extreme. It rains way less than in the rest of Europe on average for example. Wind is rare, snow is not abundant. I mean if you like hot countries it's not the place for you obviously but all in all, today Warsaw (together with probably Krakow, Gdansk and Wroclaw) beats all the French, British and German speaking countries in Europe by far, for quality of life and opportunities. If you are thinking to move in French or Germany or Netherland, think twice and consider Poland instead.

Not exactly, it's truly look beautiful on this material, but u know, that many thinks u just don't know. Idk if u hear for example about situation women and abortion. Like, a men can rape 13-years old girl, and this girl just NEED to born this kid, and the doctor can't do abortion, cuz he can get 15-25 years to jail (this is a new concept of law) . We have one scary situation. We have woman, and her child inside her was sick (truly sick, actually he was dead), doctor couldn't do anything, they was waiting. This women should born by yourself her dead child, they couldn't do abortion and this woman died too. Soo, idk this is chaotic, my english isn't very good, but u can do research on internet and try to look about this. Truly, as a woman, I'm scary to living in this country, with this fuckin law...

As a Pole and a Varsovian, I can say that public transport, which is clean and modern, is definitely a big plus. Warsaw, as the capital of a country of 38 million people, is also relatively safe. There is something for everyone in Warsaw, be it modern skyscrapers, business centres, shopping malls etc. as well as historical places of pre-wars era and... socialist realist architecture, which some can find interesting ;)
There is a lot of greenery, parks and charming places to relax. The big downside is, of course, the traffic jams, so I definitely recommend the metro and trams. I hope your time in Poland and Warsaw was good for you. Regards.

"Exactly, I haven't seen a 'maluch' or fiat 125p [by far the most common cars in the 80s] on the streets of Warsaw for a few years. How do I remember? Because last time I saw one about 3 years ago, I was so shocked, I can still remember it. In 2005 a friend gave me a ride in a 'maluch', and even then it was totally old-school and people were turning their heads on the street. And now I even don't really see cars from the '90s either, I don't think I've seen any polonez, cinquecento/seicento, lanos or tico lately :), not in Warsaw anyway".

Yeah, it's said that in the LA live 200.000 homeless people. It's like the 2/3 population of Gdynia or Katowice. Like - the whole city. Mindblowing.
But I think it's extremally easy to be homeless in the USA, it's just about to have a bad situation, getting ill and you have no place to live.
In Poland (maybe in some other Europeans country too) you'll become homeless only when you're an addict with no will to be cured...or (small amount of %) if you're really lost and depressed with no perspectives - that's rare but it happens so everyone should be aware of it and offer at least some help. IN other situations you'll get some minimal help to start your life back. That's actually one of the few things I like in my country. It won't get you everything for free but it won't let you to starve and you'll have the cure uf you need it (formal documents later). Gives the basic nat all in one.

Sami to sobie robimy.

@@lordfather2888 kompletne bajki i legendy tu napisałeś.

Even with the currency exchange difference and accounting for salary difference, BRB deals in Poland are a lot better than what I have seen in Canada. Here you have to spend a lot more to get that quality and even then it is not guaranteed. BTW the minimum wage in Poland just went up to over 19zl or around 3000zl per month. In Canada, you will never get $3000 on minimum wage. Poland has a very good standard of living now.

To put it bluntly...there is less crime in Warsaw, less junkies, less homeless bums, streets are cleaner, etc...because there are far far less so called 'minorities'. You can't not to notice. And yes, Warsaw has its 'arm pit' too...but even it is getting gentrified since the cost of living on the left bank of the river is getting out of hand, people are moving to the right bank and lifting up the areas that were sort of looking like the Bronx.

Sure it has it's flaws (rooted in politics mostly), but it's still one of the better places to live in on the planet imho. The feeling intensifies the more I visit other countries (although I was pretty amazed with certain ones, Slovenia for example - for such a small nation, their country seems really well developed and just plain pretty in many ways). Which doesn't mean we should stop trying to improve it.

Minimum wage in Poland with nowadays prices should be like 3200-3500zł NETTO. especially small towns , villages mostly beautiful Eastern part. Warsaw is strong , Poland is beautiful ,just little bit more money for less skilled workers and nobody will move or go abroad to some warehouses or factories with MD diploma. Poland is really well balanced anyway and still progess. P.S. I reeeeealy hope so that Center square of Warsaw will change....Its not looking good at all...There are some plans to rebuild in near future thank god...Take care and waitin for describe of all 16 voivodeships of Poland . hey
