    Thank you, thank you, thank you for bringing Volkl some love. I have played with Volkl for about 15 years. People often disregard them because very few pros, if any at this point, play with them. I played with the V1 Pro for years. Have a C10 Pro, which I love, but I'm just not able to play with it. Then they put this out! It's my current racket. I love it. Although have a difficult time with drop shots sometimes. Just not getting over the net at times. Other than that, I love it and am so glad someone else has finally realized the greatness of this racket and Volkl.

    I finally got a chance to hit with this stick. Your review of this racquet is so spot on. This is a spin monster. For such a thin beam I expected this to be a control oriented racquet with low powered and low launch angle, but I was blown away that how much spin this racquet produces while still retains great precision and control. It has a very stable and has great feel when volleying. I’ve watched the review of this racquet on other channel and noted this racquet suits best for flat hitters, but I found opposite to be true. This one is also great for guys like me who suffer from TE as it is very arm friendly.

    • @TheSklizo

      Such an underrated spin monster. I got more spin from this than I did from the extreme tour! honestly reminded me of a softer and more arm friendly aero 98

    I tried this and the vcell 10 320. Both racquets really awesome going with the vcell 10 320 though...its great I recommend it. Its like butter on slices and volleys...so crisp. Very impressive.

    I agree. It’s a great racquet. I couldn’t believe how stable and power/spin it had despite so thin. Unfortunately my upper limit for competitive tennis is 305gr…… it’s not slow but on serves and on volleys it shows it’s weight. But kudos to Volkl for producing such a well connected modern stick with amazing feel/ball feedback.

    • @TheSklizo
      @TheSklizo  Год назад +2

      It's a shame there isn't a 300g version of the frame as well, I feel like there would be a huge market for it!

    Great review. I have chronic tennis elbow and I have to be careful with what I play with. This Volkl c10 evo is one on my list to try out. As u mentioned in this review about Dunlop cx 200 being harsh on the arm, I do have the cx 200 and I have to agree with u. It does have a relatively low RA and nice feel but it is not very arm friendly racquet. I think a lot of people are deceived by racquets’s RA rating. From my experience Low RA doesn’t necessarily equate to being arm friendly or high RA doesn’t necessarily mean its gonna be harsh on the arm. I think what really makes difference is the technology racquet companies incorporate. For example, Pro Kennex and Volkl racquets are very arm friendly even at high RA ratings.
    I hope you can review some Pro Kennex lines, such as Black Ace, Q lines, and Ki Lines. I’d love to hear from u what u think. Thanks

      I am sorry about your tennis elbow, but I will have to say that this racquet is a must try for you then! I found it extremely comfortable for my sensitive elbow. I will definitely try to get my hands on some Pro Kennex frames, I was highly interested in them when my elbow was giving me more trouble. I am sure that Volkl and Pro Kennex can help a lot of people with similar issues!

    Welcome to the world of the flexible racquet :) Once you go flexi, you'll never go back :) Though personally, I disliked C10 for its totally spongey feel, if you say this is no C10, then it definitely deserves a test drive :) Thanks for the review.

    If I remember right, this racquet felt like it had a small sweet spot when I demoed it. Couldn't dial it in on my forehand side for some reason. I liked it on serves though and good on my backhand. Volkl is a heavily slept on brand. I think for most people the v8 pro with some lead would work best.

    • @TheSklizo
      @TheSklizo  Год назад

      Yeah that v8 pro looks really cool. I think the sweetspot is a bit lower in the head in this frame, so I get what you mean by it being small. I also think that the thinness of the beam also contributes the the sweetspot being smaller. Fun playtest though!

  • @alastairtheduke
    @alastairtheduke Год назад +1

    Love thin frames for the comfort. I'm currently playing with a prince phantom pro 100 to heal up my wrist. That's the beauty of these comfort frames. You can still hit even though you're healing from an injury and that's why I keep the prince racquet. It falls apart on slices or against heavy hitters, but for a fun social play and practice, it's great. Also, totally know what you mean by that long dwell time, it messes with me too.

    • @TheSklizo
      @TheSklizo  Год назад +1

      Yeah the dwell time is super strange. I think a lot of players that come from a thicker beamed modern frame will have issues with it. However I think if we can get these types of frames into people's hands earlier in there career, we could get rid of a ton of unnecessary tennis elbow and other arm problems. Bring on the thin beams!!

    Great review of a really interesting frame. You did not feel you had to put some lead in the hoop to slightly increase the swing weight? Also, how would you compare this to the new Vcore 95 you just tested a few weeks ago? Thanks,

    • @TheSklizo
      @TheSklizo  Год назад

      I didn't feel like I needed the extra weight. I say this, but understand I like a lower swingweight so that's just a me thing. This racquet is way different than the vcore 95. The c10 evo is much more flexible feeling, but also produces more spin and power. A very weird combo but it is a ton of fun to play with.

    Yes, I have always use VOLKL frames, and this C10 EVO is my last, I have two fames, same weight, and agree what you say how it plays, it is very comfortable, helps my worn out shoulder like no other Raquet, I was demoing a TF 40 305 TECNIFIBRE, the C 10 EVO is a more maneuverable stable Raquet and has much better dampening properties, better all around...it is a keeper for me.the two frames I have came at 305 grs,unstrung perfect for me, they advertised at 310 unstrung. It is a much more user friendly experience. The c10 pro is quite heavy for the modern game and for most players. In my opinion, this is a better frame and since it is lighter, it offers some room for customization if you want to add lead in different spots. Give it a try!

    • @TheSklizo
      @TheSklizo  11 месяцев назад

      I played with a v1 pro a while back, and I will tell you that it is completely different from the c10 evo. The v1 pro has a much more direct response and is much stiffer. It is like a rocket launcher of a racquet. Lot's of energy return but a great playing frame. The c10 evo is much softer in feel, still offers decent power but I found it to be more controlled and produce a crazy amount of spin compared to the v1 pro. On serve I prefer the crisp feeling of the v1 pro, but from the baseline I liked the control and spin of the c10 evo.

    Also furi arma pro 98 in the future?

    • @TheSklizo
      @TheSklizo  Год назад +1

      I'm not sure what to compare it to because it doesn't fit cleanly into any category I have played with. The best thing I can think of is imagine the flexibility of the old generation of clash, with the spin and power somewhere between an extreme tour and vcore 98.
      I would love to review the arma pro, but I am having some difficulty getting my hands on one. If I cannot get one before I switch, I may not review it.

    • @TheSklizo

      I tried it earlier last year with another guy who is a user of the previous gen 310. We both absolutely hated it. Now I have a long history of not liking the vcore pro line, but he has always played with it and we both agreed this new one doesn’t play as good as the last gen. But, just our opinions and I’m very biased against that line to begin with, so I’m sure some people like it.

      @@leonardoramirez7667it’s really odd with Yonex, it seems that because they always change things and innovate that they sometimes leave behind players that liked the previous generation of the frame, but also introduce new players to the line who like a different feel. It’s just one of those Yonex things, and I’m sure there are many others who like the new 310!

    • @TheSklizo
      @TheSklizo  Год назад +1

      Hello! It is slightly more muted, but you can still feel everything that is going on at contact. Volkl seems to have it's own feel that is very unique. The best way I can describe it is that the racquet is speaking a "different language" then what most racquets speak. But when you learn to understand that language (feel on contact) then all of the things it is telling you will make sense.
