I remember watching Taker and Shawn at WM25 with my dad, I was 9 years old and after watching I remember telling him that was the best match I’ve ever seen. Now I know I was only 9 years old but 15 years later that statement still stands. A masterpiece
So much of what makes a match (or anything) great, is when you originally saw it and the feelings it made you experience at the time. You'll never lose those feelings, and on some level you get to relive them each time you rewatch it. Taker v Shawn is great regardless of course, and because you experienced it at a special moment it just lifts it into the stratosphere.
I was 17, had been watching on an off since I was 5 but then in a more engaged way when I was 11 and, same. I took a break after the streak was broken until this year's Mania and the only match I watched was this one.
Everyone is allowed to have their own favorite matches for their own personal reasons. The emotion attached to a match you saw as a child is an excellent reason for it to be a favorite.
Great list, it’s so hard to choose only 10 but here’s my list: 10 Shawn Michaels vs Mankind (In Your House: Mind Games 1996) 9 The Undertaker vs Mankind (King Of The Ring 1998) 8 Shawn Michaels vs Kurt Angle (WrestleMania 21) 7 CM Punk vs John Cena (Money In The Bank 2011) 6 Shawn Michaels vs Chris Jericho (WrestleMania XIX) 5 TLC II (WrestleMania X-7) 4 Edge vs Mick Foley (WrestleMania 22) 3 AJ Styles vs John Cena (Summerslam 2016) 2 The Undertaker vs Shawn Michaels (WrestleMania 25) 1 The Undertaker vs Shawn Michaels (WrestleMania 26) Honourable Mentions: Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn vs The Usos (WrestleMania 39) Triple H vs The Rock vs Kurt Angle (Summerslam 2000) The Ultimate Warrior vs Hulk Hogan (WrestleMania VI) Cody Rhodes vs Seth Rollins (Hell In A Cell 2022) Adam Cole vs Johnny Gargano (NXT Takeover: New York) Shawn Michaels vs Ric Flair (WrestleMania 24)
Just on the "favourite match from your childhood", the one that lives in my memory the most is NYR 2006 Chamber match and Edge cashing in straight after. Not one match but easily something I can go back a rewatch anytime
Being someone born in ‘05, and growing up during the hated PG era, the one that sticks out that evoked the most emotion from me, was Punk v Cena at MITB ‘11, but about a year later when I better understood wrestling matches, their bout on Raw before Cena took on Rock at WM29 was the best matches I had seen around then.
My 10 fav WWE Matches: 1. HBK vs Angle WM21 2. Flair vs Rousey Survivor Series 3. Daniel Bryan vs Brock Lesnar Survivor Series 4. Cody vs Seth HIAC 5. Belair vs Banks WM37 6. I believe that was one of my favorites too but imo I believe Benoit was murdered cause he was gonna turn Vince McMahon in for what he was doing I will always believe it was a professional hit
It's so hard to pick my favorite match of all time but my favorite build-up has to be the Mega-Powers Explode. That day I became a lover of the heels and Macho Man became my favorite wrestler and Hulk Hogan became the "Pukester"
After thinking about it.. I came up with mine: Shawn Michaels vs Triple H - SummerSlam 2002 The Undertaker vs Jeff Hardy - Ladder Match Raw Hulk Hogan vs The Rock - Wrestlemania X8 Randy Orton vs Cactus Jack - Backlash 2004 Shawn Michaels vs Kurt Angle - Wrestlemania 21 Edge vs Mick Foley - Wrestlemania 22 John Cena vs Edge - Unforgiven 2006 TLC Match The Undertaker vs Shawn Michaels - Wrestlemania 26 CM Punk vs John Cena - Money In The Bank 2011 Roman Reigns vs Cody Rhodes - Wrestlemania 40
Taker vs Shawn at 25 is my all time favorite match of all time it was the first ever wrestlemania I got bought for me with the 3 disc set the near falls and the crowd the commentary everything was perfect it still gets me even though I know the finish every time that’s how u know it’s a damn masterpiece just perfect
10. Angle vs Lesnar - 60 minute iron man match 9. Bret Hart vs Razor Ramon RR 93 - first wrestling show. 8. Bret Hart vs Piper - WM 8 7. AJ vs Cena RR 2016 6. HBK vs Angle WM 21 5. It’s considered a cliche answer now but my mind hasn’t changed since 09 in it being the greatest match I’ve seen. Honorable mention to the Dudleys vs the Hardy’s at RR 2000 in a tables match.
3:00 Thank you for vouching for this match. The Undertaker hitting a top rope leg drop through the commentary table is an all-time favorite spot of mine.
John Cena vs Shawn Michaels on raw, april 23 2007. Was my favorite match growing up, and even today.. it's still one of the best. New years resolution 2007 DX vs Rated RKO is another old favorite, even though Hunter tears a quad, i think they completely changed the matches finish BECAUSE of that, and it just worked so well it was amazing.
One of my favourite matches was Taker Vs Jeff Hardy ladder match on Raw, not a 5 star classic, but I loved both of those guys especially Jeff and the emotion in that match had me screaming at the tv, especially JR'S commentary, still gives me Goosebumps
There’s so many matches that I love but when it comes down to it these are matches that involve my personal favorites that I can rewatch over and over again. It still feels new every time I watch it. 10. The Shield vs The Wyatt Family Elimination Chamber 2014 9. Shawn Michaels vs John Cena Wrestlemania 23 8. Roman Reigns vs Cody Rhodes Wrestlemania 39 7. Brock Lesnar vs CM Punk Summerslam 2013 6. Kurt Angle & Benoit vs Rey Mysterio & Edge No Mercy 2002 5. Triple H vs The Undertaker Wrestlemania 28 4. Kurt Angle vs Shawn Michaels Wrestlemania 21 3. (The entire Summerslam 2002 card) 2. Roman Reigns vs Cody Rhodes Wrestlemania 40 1. Shawn Michaels vs The Undertaker Wrestlemania 25
So glad you put perfect v hitman. That is a work of art. Mr perfect was awesome and super underrated. In modern times CM Punks hell in a cell with Drew should be one there. What a died and what a pay off… amazing.
Love the list - 2 quick ones come to mind and like you Bret and Stone Cold are 2 of my 5 favorite wrestlers ever… Chris Benoit vs Bret Hart and Eddie Guerrero vs Brock Lesnar.
Man, speaking of being a kid who was seriously emotionally invested in Steve Austin winning, I will never forget Jericho beating him to become "The first ever Undisputed Champion" lol. God, that was absolutely abysmal seeing it live.
My favorites (in no specific order): Macho King vs Ultimate Warrior (WM7) CM Punk vs Jeff Hardy (SS09) Edge vs Mick Foley Hart Foundation vs Rockers Brett Hart vs Roddy Piper Taker vs Shawn Michaels (WM25) Brett Hart vs Stone Cold Stone Cold vs Shawn Michaels (WM14) E&C vs Hardy boys vs Dudleys (WM17) The 1st match I ever seen: HH vs Iron Sheik
My Top 10: 1. Cody Rhodes vs Seth "Freakin" Rollins (Hell in a Cell) 2. Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens vs The Usos (WrestleMania) 3. 2 out of 3 Falls (No Way Out) 4. Triple H vs Shawn Michaels vs Chris Benoit (WrestleMania XX) 5. Edge and Rey Mysterio vs Kurt Angle and Chris Benoit (No Mercy) 6. Charlotte Flair vs Rhea Ripley (WrestleMania) 7. Edge vs Kurt Angle (Judgment Day) 8. Chris Benoit vs Kurt Angle (Unforgiven) 9. Chris Jericho vs Shawn Michaels (No Mercy) 10. The Shield vs Evolution (Extreme Rules)
Rock v hogan, yes the crowd were amazing, but the way the rock and hogan switched it up on the fly and changed the match. For me it was absolutely perfect.
As far as favorites go.... 10.WWF Champion Hulk Hogan vs Andre The Giant (Wrestlemania III) 9.IC Champion Mr Perfect vs Bret Hart (Summerslam 1991) 8.Razor Ramon vs Shawn Micheals in a Ladder match (Wrestlemania X) 7.IC Champion Rick Rude vs The Ultimate Warrior (Summerslam 1989) 6.IC Champion Randy Savage vs Ricky Steamboat (Wrestlemania III) 5.Macho King vs The Ultimate Warrior in a career ending match (Wrestlemania VII) 4.IC Champion Bret Hart vs The British Bulldog (Summerslam 1992) 3.The Undertaker vs Shawn Micheals in a Hell In A Cell match (Badd Blood 1997) 2.Bret Hart vs Steve Austin (Submission match, Wrestlemania 13) 1.WWF Champion Hulk Hogan vs IC Champion The Ultimate Warrior (Wrestlemania VI)

My 11 (in no particular order, PPV/PLE matches only): Women's 3-way, WM35 WM20 main event 3-way Jericho/ Michaels WM-19 Rumble 92 Savage/Steamboat WM3 Bret/Bulldog SS92 Bret v Owen WM-X Canadian Stampede main event Austin/Hart WM13 TLC-2 WM X-7 Savage/Warrior WM7 (my favourite WWF/E match ever) Yes, they are all older, but that's where my favourites exist. Most of my newer favourites are from NXT (especially women's matches) and I didn't count them as NXT feels... different.
Undertaker vs Edge, Chris Jericho vs Shawn Michaels, the first Elimination Chamber, the 1992 Royal Rumble, TLC 2, Punk's first MITB, Jeff Hardy vs The Undertaker, Bret Hart vs The 1-2-3 Kid, Randy Savage vs Ricky Steamboat, and the first Hell in a Cell
My favourite match is a bit left field but you should definitely go out of your way to give it a watch. It’s Triple H vs Chris Jericho last man standing at fully loaded 2000. The ppv itself is fantastic from top to bottom. And it was the first VHS I ever had.
fav all time is brett v shawn iron man match. the build was so good with the vignettes of them training- brett in the dungeon and shawn in the desert with jay strongbow. their acknowledgement of the conflicting in-ring styles and personalities but the mutual respect for each other's abilities in a way that was not at all campy ('i don't like you but i respect you.') the match was actually pretty full all 60 minutes with not that much time wasting. brett was my fav and i hated shawn so when they drew and brett had to walk all the way back to the ring and he lost a minute later i was crushed. also high marks for RVD v Cena in the ECW arena, Angle v. Joe for all the belts, punk and bryan had some classics as well as omega & osprey.
here are some of my favourite matches in no particular order: Bayley vs Sasha Banks (Takeover: Brooklyn) Undertaker vs Mankind (King of the Ring 1998) Eddie Guerrero vs Rey Mysterio (Halloween Havoc) Sasha Banks vs Bianca Belair (WM 37) Becky Lynch vs Asuka vs Bianca Belair (Hell in a Cell 2022) Undertaker vs Shawn Michaels (WM 25) Undertaker vs Shawn Michaels (WM 26) Razor Ramon vs Shawn Michaels (WM 10) Randy Savage vs Ricky Steamboat (WM 3) Owen Hart vs Bret Hart (WM 10)
1. Bret v Austin 2. Shawn v taker 1 3. Benoit v angle - rumble 4. Hogan v warrior ( as a kid) 5. Punk v cena -mitb 6. Shawn v diesel - no holds barred , in your house 7. Hart foundation v demolition summerslam 2 out of 3 8. Umaga v cena - rumble 9. Savage v steamboat 10. Angle v Shawn - mania
I used to go to my Grandma's and I'd rent videos at blockbuster for it. They didn't have the biggest selection for wrestling so I'd always come back with Summerslam 98. I've seen it SO many times 😆
1. Undertaker vs HBK, WM25 2. Hart vs Steamboat, WM13 3. Angle vs HBK, WM21 4. Steamboat vs Savage, WM3 5. Brock vs Cena vs Seth, Royal Rumbe 2015 6. Roman vs Sami, Elimination Chamber 7. Punk vs Cena, Money In The Bank 8. HBK vs Undertaker, Bad Blood 9. HBK vs Razor, WM10 10. Bret Hart vs Diesel, Survivor Series 95
1. TLC 2 Wrestlemania 17 2. Undertaker vs HBK Wrestlemania 25 3. HBK vs Ric Flair Wrestlemania 24 4. War Games 2018 5. Mustache Mountain vs Undisputed Era NXT TAKEOVER 2018 6. Daniel Bryan vs HHH Wrestlemania 30 7. Triple Threat Match for the WWE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT Championship Wrestlemania 30 8. London & Kendrick vs The Hardys vs MNM vs Regal & Taylor Armageddon 2006 9. Rey Mysterio vs Eddie Guerrero 10. John Cena vs Edge Unforgiven 2006
Honourable mention: Jeff Hardy ladder match with Taker. Also I have a love/hate relationship with WM-18 because my step dad bought front row tickets to the show...but they double booked. We ended up with house show tickets in Kalamazoo
Of course I’m old enough to remember the Hart Foundation as heels under Jimmy Hart and hating them. Demolition switching from heel to face was probably the least expected change I can remember as a kid (obv Hogan going heel for the NWO obliterates that but I was almost 20 then)
Cena v. Styles RR ‘17 Gargano v. Ricochet Takeover Phoenix Flair v. Ripley WM39 Omega v. Osprey FD ‘23 Are the four that always come to mind when I think favorite matches
Sir Mr Miller...... you didn't mention Shawn Michael's vs Razor Ramon.....Wrestlemania X....Intercontinental Ladder Match...... just saying....... thank you sir for all that your doing for the wrestling community......keep uping those downs
One of my favourite matches ever is the team authority vs team Cena at survivor series I could watch that match 100 times, everything about it felt perfect
I had just gotten into wrestling in the 2010’s and knew about John Cena. So I looked him up on RUclips and happened to stumble up cross John Cena versus edge from unforgiven 06. My favorite match to this day and what got me hooked on wrestling.
One of my favorite matches that no one mentions was Austin vs Triple H 3 Stages of Hell. I was so invested and wanted Austin to beat Triple H so bad. It was a great emotional roller coaster ride
I echo Hart vs Perfect From SummerSlam. Also, Bret vs Owen from WM 10. Still the best opening match to any WM. Royal Rumble '91. Even though I hated Ric Flair at the time, the story is brilliant, Heenan on commentary really puts it over the top. Best Rumble match. Also, either/both of WALTER vs Dragonov from NXT:UK and/or GUNTHER vs Dragonov from NXT. The first one is the best but they're both great. Also, Gargano vs Ciampa. Any Takeover match of theirs, except the last one. Bret vs Bulldog for the IC belt from SummerSlam '92. Rock vs Mankind on Raw where Foley wins the belt. Also, yes, Bret was the one that got colour for Austin. There was a strict "no blood" policy in place, but, Bret knew how much more impactful the ending would be, with the blood, so, he went ahead and did it. Apparently, Vince couldn't tell, so no one got fined. Also,
This one is hard because there’s a few matches in my overall top ten (two of which are in my top three of all time) that aren’t WWE matches. But to narrow it down… Honorable mention to the two other matches in particular that are in my top three even though they aren’t WWE: Darby Allin vs Cody at Fyter Fest 2019 (This match is so underrated and a masterclass in ring psychology and storytelling!! Plus it shows Darby Allin is a phenomenal wrestler when he wants to be!!) and Rey vs Eddie at Halloween Havoc (Because I mean…. Come on…. The match is absolutely perfect STILL! 🤷♂️) EDITED BECAUSE I FORGOT ONE!: 10. CM Punk vs Drew McIntyre at Bad Blood (this one is so low just because of recency, but that was a damn good HIAC match and I went back and rewatched several times afterwards!) 9. Punk vs Bryan at Over the Limit 2012 (I used to not be a huge Daniel Bryan fan, mostly because I was a little hipster lol, but that match made me admit I was stupid! It was a good match) 8. Triple H vs Dean Ambrose at Roadblock (I love this match more after reading Moxley’s book. He talks about how important it was to him even though it was a glorified house show. He was genuinely excited to face Triple H and wanted to show everyone he could put on a clinic and also show why Triple H is one of the GOATs by pulling a five star banger out of him) 7. Punk vs Lesnar at SS (It’s just so damn good and a perfect David and Goliath match!!) 6. Punk vs Taker (Again, just so damn good!! Only downside is the ref blatantly forgetting the rules and forgetting to count multiple times lol. But still great!) 5. Edge vs Taker SS ‘08 (My first Hell in a Cell match and it had me hooked!! I rewatched it recently with my little nephew and even he was saying “That was so cool” lol 😅) 4. Triple H vs Daniel Bryan at Mania 30 (Just a killer match between two master in ring technicians! Both put on a clinic and even though it’s long, it doesn’t seem like it) 3. Kurt Angle vs Undertaker at No Way Out ‘06 (this should’ve been the Mania match that year for Taker!! It was perfect!! I forgot it the first time (which is surprising because I absolutely adore the match!!) but had to go back and add it because it’s so good!! 2. Cody vs Rollins at Mania 38 (This match is so underrated!! Definitely the best of their trilogy!! It was just a damn good wrestling match. No frills or anything (besides Cody returning). Just a good match! 🤷♂️) 1. Rock vs Taker vs Angle at Vengeance 02 (My favorite match of all time period! Not just WWE! It had everything: Technical wrestling, gimmicky wrestling (like all three men using each other’s finishers), silly wrestling (Kurt whining that he’s being ignored at the beginning before getting knocked out then struggling to get back into the match because he keeps getting hit), and ring psychology (all three had such amazing timing!!). It also avoided the same issue every multi man match has where someone will get taken out by some minor move and then sit around doing nothing for several minutes while two people fought in the ring. Everyone was always doing something and even when they weren’t, they weren’t just knocked out for no reason. They were out for a good reason. It made sense!! Not just “Ow. I got thrown into the steps two minutes in and now I’m gonna sit in pain for five to ten minutes”.)
Shawn Vs Undertaker 25 & 26 are my favorite all time I can watch it over and over and last but not least Hell in a Cell Armageddon 2000 Rikishi off the Cell.
1.Undertaker vs HBK WM 25 2. Undertaker vs HBK WM 26 3. Cena vs AJ Styles Summer 4. The Rock vs Austin WM 19 5. Aj lee vs Paige summer slam 6. HHH vs Undertaker HiaC WM 7. Sasha Banks vs Charlotte HiaC 8. Lesnar vs Undertaker Summerslam 9. Sasha Banks vs Charlotte HiaC 10. Cena vs Brock Summer slam 0. Simon Miller debut match. With Nxt I would put different list.
I only really got into wrestling during the pandemic and I don't think I've ever had such an emotional high watching wrestling than when Cody finally beat Roman
My favourite ever is Randy Orton so I’m a little biased but my favourite matches are: Randy Orton vs Christian, Summerslam 2011 Triple H vs Undertaker, WrestleMania 28 and 27 Randy Orton vs John Cena TLC 2013 Randy Orton vs John Cena, HIAC 2009 Orton vs Shawn Michaels, Survivor Series 2007 Orton vs Cactus Jack, Backlash 2004 Orton vs Mysterio vs Angle, WrestleMania 22 WWE Title 6 pack challenge, Night of Champions 2010 Shawn Michaels vs Undertaker, WM 26 and 26 Shawn Michaels vs Kurt Angle, WM 21
Mine has to be Edge vs. Mick Foley hardcore match at Wrestlemania 22. Definitely not the best match or even best hardcore match but that’s the first match I remember watching and thinking, this wrestling stuff is cool
I've got great memories of WM 4. I saved up and my parents let me order it, it was the first one I was ever able to order and watch live. My favorite wrestler was Macho Man (Elizabeth my first crush), was over the moon to see him win. The whole tournament idea seemed so exciting to my 10 year old self. I also still remember the Battle Royal at the start and Bret Hart destroying the trophy, which made me a huge fan of his. Loved it at the time. Went back and re-watched it like 30 years later for the first time. Man, it was an awful WM 🤣. But really, who cares? Can't take my childhood joy away.
To me my favorite match is mankind vs undertaker king of the ring 98’ undertaker was so cool and badass and he reminded me of my dad cause he was tall and the dark hair. Mankind I just had so much respect for. He just kept getting up and even though he didn’t win it felt like a legend was born and from that moment I was like I’d never not cheer for mick foley again. Mick foley is truly a ecw Legend. And taker is a goat.
Im so so happy he picked Brock vs Punk, overtime its got its recongition, Punk give Brock the biggest fight ever and it was so back and forth, in my top 10 100%
Purely nostalgia it isn't a classic by any means but I loved Kanyon and Saturn at American Bash 1998. We got WCW ppvs here on New Zealand television for some reason. I was 7, all I'd heard was Spice Girls, Backstreet Boys and stuff and.. well WCW they just had generic kinda rock themes but you had these cool lookin dudes coming out to this cool sounding music. I was hooked. Those guys and anything with Kidman. And the battle royale with Goldberg at Road Wild 1998 though not objectively great had such a fun setting and made Goldberg feel like a big deal. As for WWF I remember liking King of the Ring 1999. Wasn't able to watch every show so couldn't follow the stories. My parents told me wrestling was fake and I didn't care, I think we kinda knew anyway. Regardless, Billy Gunn winning added some legitimatecy to it.. almost like anyone could win. I didn't understand the business but even as a kid I could sense the hierarchy. Hogan despite being boring to watch (as a kid who began watching in 1998 WCW) compared to the cruiserweights he was just this lumbering old man. Like, us kids would stop watching around the around main event unless it was Sting or Goldberg. We could sense Hogan had power. And as much as we liked Rock and Stone Cold they always won unless it was a screwy finish. All this to say Billy Gunn winning King of the Ring really made it feel like anything could happen and maybe this is real. Not a match and not a great show but.. I dunno there's a positive in it.
In no order Cena v Punk mitb 2011 Cody v Roman 2 Flair v Michaels wm24 Triple h v Undertaker wm28 Orton v Bryan v Batista wm30 Ripley v Charlotte wm39 Dragunov v melo no mercy 2023 Steel City Street Fight 2023 Brock lesnar v John Cena Extreme Rules 2012 Brock v Roman Reigns wm 31
10 Brock Lesnar vs Goldburg Survivor Series *Same reason you said for your 10* 9 Wild Card Survivor Series match cause I was 4 and I couldn't believe GOOD GUYS AND AND BAD GUYS teaming OMG 8 Undertaker vs orton *Underrated this was the first time the STREAK was in Jeopardy* 7 Batista vs Jericho vs Benoit vs Edge vs Orton vs HHH Elimination Chamber *HHH stands up to sit back down thus starting the Batista turn* 6 Diesel vs Razor Summerslam 94 *Diesel vs Shawn is started* 5 Diesel vs Shawn Good friends better enemys SHAWN HITS A MOONSAULT TO THE FLOOR IN CHAPS 4 Shawn vs Razor II I fucking love Shawn's tights 3 Bret vs owen Mania x I loved this match so much I wore the tape out so the ONLY LADDER MATCH I HAD was Summerslam 95 2 Mike awesome vs Masato Tanaka One Night stand I went to a theater that had a viewing party and it was a FREAKING BLAST People screaming like it was a horror movie chanting ECW booing the shots of the WWE Invaders That night fucking ruled 1 TLC 4 I watched it 3 times in 6 hours on a school night In Manitoba we had TSN AT 8 The time zone beside us we also had and theirs aired at 11 and followed with a repeat viewing at 12 So from 930 till 2 in the morning I watched that match 3 times cause there wasn't any way to know there was gonna be a DVD of it or a compilation or even a Network
I remember watching Taker and Shawn at WM25 with my dad, I was 9 years old and after watching I remember telling him that was the best match I’ve ever seen. Now I know I was only 9 years old but 15 years later that statement still stands. A masterpiece

Taker v Shawn is great regardless of course, and because you experienced it at a special moment it just lifts it into the stratosphere.
I remember going there with my brothers! 1 of only 3 PPVs I’ve ever been to, memory I will always cherish
I was 17, had been watching on an off since I was 5 but then in a more engaged way when I was 11 and, same.
I took a break after the streak was broken until this year's Mania and the only match I watched was this one.

3:00 Thank you for vouching for this match. The Undertaker hitting a top rope leg drop through the commentary table is an all-time favorite spot of mine.
Undertaker v Austin in 98 is a great call. One of my faves, too. Such excitement, intensity and great story.
The champ is here.
The feeling that you had for austin vs taker as a kid for me it was most of Cena vs Orton matches in 09 i thought Cena was going to get killed
as always is great. I would like to see your top 10 matches of all time any company in any era

Thank you simon im gonna watch a few of those matches again
So glad you put perfect v hitman. That is a work of art. Mr perfect was awesome and super underrated. In modern times CM Punks hell in a cell with Drew should be one there. What a died and what a pay off… amazing.
In high school we pooled our money for 18. Rock v Hogan was and still is my greatest wrestling memory
God, that was absolutely abysmal seeing it live.
i cant believe you are apologizing for the steamboat savage match. Thats as perfect as a match can get

I was at WM18 and outside of the Skydome the engery was crazy. Chants for Hogan was going on before the gates opened. It was an amazing moment.
The CM Punk vs Lesnar Summerslam ‘13 match was a great shout cause it showed Lesnar can REALLY work with the smaller wrestlers and put on a good show
Rock v hogan, yes the crowd were amazing, but the way the rock and hogan switched it up on the fly and changed the match. For me it was absolutely perfect.
As far as favorites go....

Nice and smarky
WM 21 Money in the Bank is an awesome shout, but honestly theres at least 100 matches which could be argued as the best match ever 😂
That Aleister/Ricochet vs War Raiders match is so underrated!
My 11 (in no particular order, PPV/PLE matches only):
Women's 3-way, WM35
WM20 main event 3-way

Rumble 92
Savage/Steamboat WM3
Bret/Bulldog SS92
Bret v Owen WM-X
Canadian Stampede main event
Austin/Hart WM13
TLC-2 WM X-7
Savage/Warrior WM7 (my favourite WWF/E match ever)
Yes, they are all older, but that's where my favourites exist.
Joe for all the belts, punk and bryan had some classics as well as omega & osprey.
here are some of my favourite matches in no particular order:
Bayley vs Sasha Banks (Takeover: Brooklyn)
Undertaker vs Mankind (King of the Ring 1998)
Eddie Guerrero vs Rey Mysterio (Halloween Havoc)
Sasha Banks vs Bianca Belair (WM 37)
Becky Lynch vs Asuka vs Bianca Belair (Hell in a Cell 2022)
Undertaker vs Shawn Michaels (WM 25)
Undertaker vs Shawn Michaels (WM 26)
Razor Ramon vs Shawn Michaels (WM 10)
Randy Savage vs Ricky Steamboat (WM 3)
Owen Hart vs Bret Hart (WM 10)
1. Bret v Austin
2. Shawn v taker 1

6. Shawn v diesel - no holds barred , in your house
7. Hart foundation v demolition summerslam 2 out of 3
8. Umaga v cena - rumble
9. Savage v steamboat
10. Angle v Shawn - mania
Been watching since 1990.
My favorite is Jericho and Benoit vs Hunter and Austin on Raw
I used to go to my Grandma's and I'd rent videos at blockbuster for it. They didn't have the biggest selection for wrestling so I'd always come back with Summerslam 98. I've seen it SO many times 😆
1. Undertaker vs HBK, WM25
2. Hart vs Steamboat, WM13
3. Angle vs HBK, WM21
4. Steamboat vs Savage, WM3
5. Brock vs Cena vs Seth, Royal Rumbe 2015

9. Rey Mysterio vs Eddie Guerrero
Demolition switching from heel to face was probably the least expected change I can remember as a kid (obv Hogan going heel for the NWO obliterates that but I was almost 20 then)
Cena v. Styles RR ‘17
Gargano v. Ricochet Takeover Phoenix
Flair v. Ripley WM39
Omega v. Osprey FD ‘23
Are the four that always come to mind when I think favorite matches
Sir Mr Miller...... you didn't mention Shawn Michael's vs Razor Ramon.....Wrestlemania X....Intercontinental Ladder Match...... just saying....... thank you sir for all that your doing for the wrestling community......keep uping those downs
One of my favourite matches ever is the team authority vs team Cena at survivor series
I could watch that match 100 times, everything about it felt perfect
I can’t do Top 10, but Top 3…
1. Gargano v Andrade- Takeover Philly
2. Savage v Steamboat- Mania 3
3. Lesnar v Angle Ironman- SM 2003
Kurt angle vs Undertaker 2006
Fucking banger, absolute BANGER
I had just gotten into wrestling in the 2010’s and knew about John Cena. So I looked him up on RUclips and happened to stumble up cross John Cena versus edge from unforgiven 06. My favorite match to this day and what got me hooked on wrestling.
One of my favorite matches that no one mentions was Austin vs Triple H 3 Stages of Hell. I was so invested and wanted Austin to beat Triple H so bad. It was a great emotional roller coaster ride
You should do a tna list
For me a match that lives rent free in my head was British bulldog vs Owen Hart in the finals to crown the first wwf European champion
From the thumbnail, I'd thought it was an old picture of Jordon Peterson. Love your content.
Also,
Man that Mankind v Shawn Michaels match was also so good
This one is hard because there’s a few matches in my overall top ten (two of which are in my top three of all time) that aren’t WWE matches. But to narrow it down…
Honorable mention to the two other matches in particular that are in my top three even though they aren’t WWE: Darby Allin vs Cody at Fyter Fest 2019 (This match is so underrated and a masterclass in ring psychology and storytelling!! Plus it shows Darby Allin is a phenomenal wrestler when he wants to be!!) and Rey vs Eddie at Halloween Havoc (Because I mean…. Come on…. The match is absolutely perfect STILL! 🤷♂️)
EDITED BECAUSE I FORGOT ONE!:
10. CM Punk vs Drew McIntyre at Bad Blood (this one is so low just because of recency, but that was a damn good HIAC match and I went back and rewatched several times afterwards!)
9. Punk vs Bryan at Over the Limit 2012 (I used to not be a huge Daniel Bryan fan, mostly because I was a little hipster lol, but that match made me admit I was stupid! It was a good match)
8. Triple H vs Dean Ambrose at Roadblock (I love this match more after reading Moxley’s book. He talks about how important it was to him even though it was a glorified house show. He was genuinely excited to face Triple H and wanted to show everyone he could put on a clinic and also show why Triple H is one of the GOATs by pulling a five star banger out of him)
7. Punk vs Lesnar at SS (It’s just so damn good and a perfect David and Goliath match!!)
6. Punk vs Taker (Again, just so damn good!! Only downside is the ref blatantly forgetting the rules and forgetting to count multiple times lol. But still great!)
5. Edge vs Taker SS ‘08 (My first Hell in a Cell match and it had me hooked!! I rewatched it recently with my little nephew and even he was saying “That was so cool” lol 😅)
4. Triple H vs Daniel Bryan at Mania 30 (Just a killer match between two master in ring technicians! Both put on a clinic and even though it’s long, it doesn’t seem like it)
1.Undertaker vs HBK WM 25
2. Undertaker vs HBK WM 26
3. Cena vs AJ Styles Summer
4. The Rock vs Austin WM 19
5. Aj lee vs Paige summer slam
6. HHH vs Undertaker HiaC WM
7. Sasha Banks vs Charlotte HiaC
8. Lesnar vs Undertaker Summerslam
9. Sasha Banks vs Charlotte HiaC
10. Cena vs Brock Summer slam
0. Simon Miller debut match.
With Nxt I would put different list.
I only really got into wrestling during the pandemic and I don't think I've ever had such an emotional high watching wrestling than when Cody finally beat Roman
My favourite ever is Randy Orton so I’m a little biased but my favourite matches are:
Randy Orton vs Christian, Summerslam 2011
Triple H vs Undertaker, WrestleMania 28 and 27
Randy Orton vs John Cena TLC 2013
Randy Orton vs John Cena, HIAC 2009
Orton vs Shawn Michaels, Survivor Series 2007
Orton vs Cactus Jack, Backlash 2004
Orton vs Mysterio vs Angle, WrestleMania 22
WWE Title 6 pack challenge, Night of Champions 2010
Shawn Michaels vs Undertaker, WM 26 and 26
Shawn Michaels vs Kurt Angle, WM 21
Simon Miller is the best part of pro wrestling these days.
Mine has to be Edge vs. Mick Foley hardcore match at Wrestlemania 22. Definitely not the best match or even best hardcore match but that’s the first match I remember watching and thinking, this wrestling stuff is cool
My personal favorite is Austin Vs HHH. No Way Out 2001.
Three stages of hell
Been so long since I've watched Johnny sins, he turned heel. I love favorite matches over best matches
I was at WM 18. It was crazy amazing live!!
Im so so happy he picked Brock vs Punk, overtime its got its recongition, Punk give Brock the biggest fight ever and it was so back and forth, in my top 10 100%
My favorite match is the 6 man hell in a cell from Armageddon 2000.
Now I'm hoping the next Mission Impossible opens with Santa kicking ass before pulling off his face to reveal Ethan Hunt.
Bret vs Austin WM13. Greatest match ever. Iconic as fuck.
You're the man Simon
Great list but I was surprised to not see any women's match
Bret v Stone Cold Wrestlemania
Owen v Bret Wrestlemania
Hardy Boyz v Dudley Boys v Edge and Christian TLC Wrestlemania.
If there is a favorite WWE matches, then there could also be favorite non-WWE matches! I also want to know that
Can you review WM X8(2002)Or ups and downs of Wwe PPvs in 2002?
He already did a long time ago
@ oh cool. Thx imma check it out
This video won't divide the internet 😅
This is the typa list that'll make me spit slap my gum and show you a perfect plex. 🙂
I know it's recent but I was hoping randy vs gunther would make the list
