I do agree with Becky Lynch that they should be able to tell stories for women's matches that don't involve a championship. But, usually, those stories in wrestling start with a dispute of someone screwing someone else out of a title or title shot. Look at Mcintyre v Punk. And a secondary title gives more opportunity for that.

Punk FINALLY gets his WM Main Event, beats Gunther. Stays champ until Money in the Bank (which Gunther wins and cashes in that night) where it's Punk vs Rollins. Gunther vs Punk vs Rollins at SummerSlam, Gunther retains. Rollins FINALLY beats Punk 1 on 1, gets the Survivor Series match against Gunther after weeks of Gunther avoiding it. Gunther retains. Cena, who's been away for a few weeks with an injury storyline after a big win (maybe against someone physically imposing like Bronson Reed), returns after the match to again challenge Gunther, where he breaks Flair's record in December (call it One Night Stand, referencing Cena either winning the title and retiring or losing and retiring). And honestly, from there, Cena COULD have one last match on Raw to drop the belt or just retire as champion. I'd like to see a tournament where the last 4 champions (so Priest, Punk, Rollins, and Gunther) get a bye while 8 other stars all have matches. One round of matches per show, with a month dedicated to building a new world champion, with the last match being at the Rumble (probably the only time in Rumble history the Rumble DOESN'T main event the show). We get 2 Rumbles and a guaranteed new champion. And the end of the show is whoever wins the Rumble MAYBE walking out to set-up the WM match. It's probably a bit predictable, but I just like the idea of pushing like 4 potential champions in the same year instead of the usual pair who dominate most of the calendar.

Not a prediction but something I think would be cool… Jade and Bianca hold the tag belts to wrestlemania and they have a match at mania to retire the tag belts and introduce a mid card title. I just don’t see the tag division getting any love or tv time if they introduce a mid card belt. This way it gives it a strong first holder whoever they give it too to help establish prestige right way.

This way, he doesn't steal away some new star's Wrestlemania moment, and could instead cash in at Summerslam. Then, the mystified feud between Cena and Bray Wyatt will continue through Uncle Howdy, and Cena will drop the title to him. The Story would basically write itself.

I'm just throwing this out there, but with Sheamus not ever winning the intercontinental championship and Cena never winning it, be cool to have them face off in a number 1 contender match or a triple threat with breaker....be cool to run Cena and Sheamus back one more time tho

I wouldn’t give that title to Lyra I’d give it to an nxt call up or at least someone who’s somewhere established but the nxt woman’s division is killing it right now so i would give the U.S. title to Naomi and whatever they do for raw to Roxy or Cora I mean there probably not gonna announce that one till after the rumble when they’ll probably get called up but if that doesn’t work out then either Lyra or zelina would be fine

I think the Women’s tag belt should stay on all 3 brands because they here’s not enough tag teams for separate titles.
